For me, fougères just don’t work. The smell clashes with me; it smells like Bogart de Jacques to me, and my wife says I smell like coriander and parsley. I don’t sense any citrus or freshness at all.

  • This fragrance’s scent is among the best designer ones I’ve tried… It will stay in my collection until I find an Arabic dupe that gives me what this one doesn’t and disappoints more and more, the longevity… It’s terrible… My previous bottle, bought in 2022, gave me at most three hours of scent. Three months ago I got a 200ml one and if it reaches two hours, it’s a miracle… Total disappointment with the performance… And I don’t understand those people who criticise those who complain about the longevity… Have them look at it themselves.

A rich, fresh, versatile, clean and floral fragrance. It’s sharp and zesty thanks to the citrus, with good projection and an exquisite dry-down that’s musky with a very pleasant sweet touch from the amber and vanilla tonka.

  • To put it briefly: it’s L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme with rose instead of lotus and lasts about the same, perhaps a bit less. It’s versatile, clean, has some floral notes that aren’t unpleasant and isn’t as loud; here, the citrus is more measured. It’s one of those you always keep at hand because they’re good for both a rip and a tear.

I agree with @Stockier. If you know L’Eau D’Issey but have never tried VPH, imagine it like this: it’s L’Eau D’Issey modernised with a touch of vanilla tonka sweetness at the start. Then, moving into the heart and base, it reminds you a lot of Chanel’s Allure Homme Sport (at 25-30% of the price), but it’s sharper, less refined and slightly more synthetic; the price difference is noticeable there, though it’s not bad. It has that famous creaminess of the Chanel one. It has nothing to do with Nautica or the Antonio Banderas scent; the only similarity is the freshness, but they go down different paths. It’s an excellent fragrance. If you like Allure or L’Eau D’Issey, buy VPH blind; you’ll surely love it. Performance: use it when the weather is over 20 degrees; below that, it’s almost imperceptible. A few clichés: it’s a fresh citrus EDT, so if it lasts more than six hours on skin, that would be irrational; expecting more is absurd. Like most fresh EDTs, its longevity hovers around four to six hours (the norm); the solution: apply it to your clothes, and it lasts all day. Projection: at first, it’s potent and feels synthetic, even unpleasant; that bad sensation lasts 15-20 minutes and then disappears, projecting for another 60-70 minutes (total around 90-100 minutes of potency). Then it drops to a personal bubble, but if you use it on your clothes, it persists pleasantly for hours. The sillage depends on your movements; for example, I put it on at 8 am and at 3 pm my wife asked if I had reapplied; no, it was just a sharp movement at two metres and that was enough for the fragrance from my clothes to send its trail to her.

  • In summary: citrusy, musky, astringent, clean, aquatic, fresh, with a hint of floral and very masculine.

It doesn’t hook me; it’s not a bad thing, but it smells like a remedy 🥸🙃

I love reading negative reviews that explain the why, not just stating it smells bad without giving reasons. If someone doesn’t like it and doesn’t explain their motives, the review serves no purpose other than confirming that it doesn’t suit that particular stranger. The point of this forum is to justify an opinion so everyone pays attention to some detail we might have overlooked. We need to illustrate and explain, not just throw an opinion into the air, because that is irrelevant.

  • This was my first foray into perfumes. I know there are better options among the ‘blue’ fragrances, but for me, it more than delivers. I’ve been wearing it for years and it will stay on my shelf. Sillage and projection: it’s not for bombarding the room or leaving a trail down the path; other scents are better for that. Longevity: on my skin, it lasts about two hours, but it can be refreshed with more sprays, on clothes, or by keeping a decant handy. Versatility: ideal for spring and summer, though I’ve used it in other seasons, on other days or evenings; it’s so subtle and pleasant that it holds its own. Compliments: obviously, it’s not for garnering constant praise, but I have received them many times. The opposite sex usually likes it quite a bit. Occasions: not for parties or the gym, but perfect for going out during the day, work, or hot days; in its element, it’s a great daily scent.

It is the fragrance I have bought most for its price-quality ratio. It is easy to like and use (daily without problems), very versatile for the office or sport. Fresh and very pleasant. I found it very similar to Chanel Allure Homme Sport (which costs double).

  • It is one of the perfumes with which I started 3 years ago; a rich, fresh, and sexy scent. I always recommend it with a white or light shirt for casual outings or special events like weddings. What you feel most is the lime aroma, floral with musk. I also have Chanel Allure Homme Sport and the difference is that Allure feels richer due to the juicy orange and tangerine, of higher quality, but remember it costs almost triple.

  • EnriqueSeguraJ

Fresh, citrusy, and clean, with a creamy touch. In the dry down, there are similar perfumes like Clinique Happy or supermarket ones in Colombia. But!!! The quality is another level and the ingredients feel well unified without ugly accents. 10 out of 10 for its price of $44 in 2025.

  • One of my favourite perfumes. It has a rich and distinctive scent, very fresh for summer and heat. It is not a bomb or beast mode; you will notice it if someone approaches. It is an EDT, lasting about 4-5 hours with moderate projection and then moving to skin scent. On clothes it feels more; even at 7 hours it is still noticeable if you apply a lot. The opening is citrusy and then moves to something more ambered but the citrus is always there. I have received compliments with this; women usually like it very much. It is striking and delightful. It works very well on a date, as well as for birthdays or informal outings in summer. It is very versatile, different from Polo Blue which I feel is more formal. Always in spring-summer. Do I recommend it? Yes. It is a scent I love, but if you want much projection it is not your perfume. I repurchased the 200ml bottle because to have that moderate projection you have to apply a lot. If you apply little, it disappears.

  • Fresh, citrusy, and aromatic, perfect for daily use, the office, or the gym on hot days. It smells like a clean man who cares about his image. Spectacular!

  • Versace Pour Homme is, conceptually, the Italian man. Whether we talk about Sicily, Capri, Rome, or the Amalfi coast: it is a fresh fragrance that projects class and refinement in the style of master Morillas. It has a well-balanced citrus-floral opening over a base of musk, cedar, and amber, which olfactorily evokes the smell of salt from a freshly broken wave. I agree with other comments: it is for wearing with a white shirt and believing you are the most refined Italian. Projection is about 2 hours and longevity around 4. However, you cannot ask more of this work of art by Alberto Morillas; may he protect it for many more years.

  • areniporgen

Ideal for dates and hot days. I find it similar to Montblanc Starwalker, but more expensive and with more florals. It is quite a youthful perfume.

  • I bought Versace Pour Homme for the heat of the Spanish Levante and it delivers 100%. It is fresh, clean, and luminous, ideal for day and night, although it shines more under the sun. It gives a sensation of tidiness and well-being, as if you had just stepped out of the shower with a sea breeze. It doesn’t project too much, but there is its charm: it is versatile, elegant, and always appropriate. Perfect for the office, a walk, or simply feeling good with yourself. It conveys clarity, freshness, and good energy.

  • Fragranticman

Reading @Charlienom’s comment, I checked the official Versace website and confirmed they have ‘Oud Wood’ in the base. What I dislike about Oud is that it prevents blind buying; there are many types. It can be animalic, faecal, smoky, or spiced, or in its softer, sweet, and fruity versions. In this case, I believe it doesn’t have real Oud or it is a very kind and simple version: sweet and woody. It seems a marketing statement to attract experts, as it is a simple and charming fragrance. Based solely on that note, you can buy it without the risk of smelling like an animal in heat.

  • The best option for extreme heat: I’ve received many compliments and people have asked what I’m wearing. It smells clean, like freshly showered, without that sea scent which I sometimes don’t like. Super easy to use for uni, the office, or any casual outing with the sun on your back.

  • Luiz Rivera

One of my favourite perfumes. It’s unobtrusive and leaves a sensation of freshness and total cleanliness, a true olfactory delight. It’s a shame it broke with 91% of the liquid still inside, but I will buy it again without hesitation.

  • unlimited3007

Smells bloody brilliant, ideal for summer thanks to that geranium which gives it the touch. Elegant, super fresh, and perfect for dressing up… but watch out, longevity is very weak, its major weakness.

  • Aqua di Gio is the rough diamond and Versace Pour Homme is that same diamond cut and polished to a shine.

  • The 3 B’s have a treasure: clean musk, citrus, and soft roses, but very masculine. Perfect for a casual outing in the heat, as if you’ve just stepped out of the bathroom to show off that freshness.

  • SrPatata12327?

My first designer fragrance paid for with my own money. It’s one of the richest scents I’ve ever heard. So rich that there’s no dominant note; everything is so balanced that the first time I didn’t know what was in the bottle, just that I was delighted. Upon spraying it, I found it impossible not to ask my family, and everyone was blown away. It’s clean, versatile, masculine, fresh, and delicious. I live in a city where the shade is 10 degrees and the sun hits 35, and this is ideal for both without bothering anyone. Obviously, it’s not for special dates. In my opinion, anyone from 15 years old can wear it as it’s very versatile but also very masculine. Its only flaw is longevity: with 12 sprays, I get a strong trail for about two hours, by four it’s just skin scent, and by eight it’s undetectable.

  • The king of extreme heat: people ask me what I’m wearing. It smells freshly showered, not beachy, avoiding that salty tone which doesn’t suit me. Ideal for uni, the office, or going out with the sun on your back.

  • To be honest, I fell in love with Chanel’s Allure Homme Sport, but it was too expensive and I noticed this one was similar. In the shop, smelling it on blotter paper, I thought ‘eh’, but days later the paper reminded me so much of Chanel that I bought it. Now that I own it, it smells more citrusy than Allure, but has its own charm. I’d say it has lemon while Allure has orange, but once dried down they’re identical. It’s my first designer scent, smells great, and isn’t that pricey; I recommend buying it blind. EDIT: It fades quickly, maybe next time I’ll go for Allure; with two PH bottles I could afford an AHS which lasts longer, I think.

  • Tiago Paravizzini

What a cool fragrance. At first, with that lemon and bergamot, it smells super citrusy and fresh. But after about 15-20 minutes, it turns slightly bitter and elegant, without losing its summery, carefree vibe. In short: elegant yet informal, perfect for the heat and any social outing.

  • The opening smells like lemon detergent and then evolves into coriander. Be warned, you must try it on skin as it’s not for everyone’s taste.

  • A delight for hot days. If it lasted longer, it would be the best summer fragrance ever. Buy it blind, you won’t be disappointed.

  • Theangel2002

Wooooow, I’ve wanted this for some time; it’s exquisite. The notes and chords listed on the box are exactly what you get: citrus, marine, floral, green and fresh. It’s super special due to those green notes that hit you in the nose—a very fresh, refreshing green. This cologne delivers. Now, this shouldn’t be called Eau de Toilette; it’s more like a very soft body water, because it’s a real shame it doesn’t last even three hours. Thanks to a deal at an authorised retailer in Chile, I got a 200 ml bottle for $67; I’m glad I paid that price before I was tempted to pay $110 and would have regretted it. I recommend buying it only if you spot a deal under $80 at an authorised retailer. It doesn’t last at all; you need to reapply every three hours at key points: behind the ears, neck, inner arm crease, wrists, perhaps the chest. You have to reapply a lot. I hope $67 doesn’t hurt, but you do have to reapply frequently, every three hours to smell it. It’s a pity it doesn’t last; back in the 2000s it lasted much longer, now it’s a shame they’ve destroyed the longevity. I recommend buying it, yes, but only if you find an incredible deal on 200 ml. For me, it will be my daily summer scent in South America, but it won’t last me even three months despite all my reapplications.

  • With this fragrance, you can never go wrong. It’s fresh and I believe agreeable to anyone. Ideal for your first fragrance, for daily wear, and for working out.

  • I bought it for summer and it hasn’t disappointed. Rich, fresh, with a citrus opening and great sillage. In the dry-down it becomes more subdued but retains that clean presence that has earned me many compliments. It’s very versatile; the longevity isn’t perfect, so I recommend reapplying, but given the price you can find it for between 40 and 45 thousand Chilean pesos, it’s highly recommended.

  • Juanroaguilo

Fresh, energising and clean. Suitable for daily wear. Ideal for spring and summer, but also all year round indoors. Many people talk about the lemon opening, but to me it smells quite like orange (it contains Neroli, which is oil from the orange blossom).

  • Daniel Henderson 77

Super energising, citrusy and fresh, with a sweet touch that isn’t cloying. Perfect for summer with a crisp white shirt. It’s a super clean scent, suitable for every day and ideal for the office as it’s noticeable but not overpowering. Everyone loves it. It has incredible versatility: office, dinner out, beach, a stroll, or the gym. It can be used for anything and delivers. Highly recommended; you won’t regret trying it.

  • Alex21100

I have a soft spot for it. Although it wasn’t my first designer fragrance, it was the one that sparked my interest and has earned me plenty of compliments at work. The citrus and marine blend is perfect for daytime. I feel Allure de Chanel drew quite a bit of inspiration from it. It’s an essential for any collection due to its versatility; it’s flawless. 8.5/10

  • Pablocrz2610

Fresh and ideal for extreme heat, it lasts all day. If you like citrus, you can buy it blind. It projects well and has great longevity, plus it’s earned me several compliments. Final rating: 8.7/10
