  • What relief that these fragrances are finally reaching Chile, as here you can only test them when travelling. It’s a very singular perfume; some call it classic, but I’d say exclusive. It smells green, orange, and spiced lemon, as if you’re rubbing the leaves of your lemon tree, with floating floral notes and a woodsy base like palo santo, plus patchouli in the background that adds a sweet, warm touch. It gives you that relaxed, refined feeling; you know that not everyone has that. If you have experience with fragrances, you’ll know whether it’s quality or just a brand. I recommend this line with eyes closed; it won’t fail to surprise you.

  • Not particularly original; it follows the footsteps of 90s launches like Paco Rabanne XS or Chanel Platinum Égoïste. The only difference is that the opening is citrusy rather than aromatic. After that, it all evens out: they’re formal, smelling of talcum powder, freshly shaved, crisp white shirt, striped tie, dark suit, and polished shoes—like a lawyer in their office. I think Brooks Brothers is licensed to Interparfums and lack a clear brand strategy, so this might be discontinued. It’s a good alternative to Ralph Lauren Safari.

  • Not very original; it follows the path of other launches from the 90s, such as Paco Rabanne XS or Chanel Platinum Égoïste. The difference is that the opening revolves around citrus rather than aromatics. After that, there’s little distinction: they’re all formal and smell of talcum powder, as if you’ve just stepped out of the shower, freshly shaved, in a crisp white shirt, striped tie, dark blue or grey suit, polished shoes, and slicked-back hair (unless you’re bald)… the scent of a law firm’s office attending to clients. I believe Brooks Brothers is licensed to Interparfums and don’t seem to have a stable brand policy, so this might not be continued. I say this because it’s a good alternative to Ralph Lauren Safari.
