  Terri Bozzo remains a gem, with creations that captivate. While longevity on some has left me wanting, others are absolute bombs; this Gardenia Sucree falls in the middle. It’s not my favourite from the house, as I could write about several more that are wonderful for gourmand lovers, but it is certainly one of the most original scents I’ve smelled lately and the most personal Kyse fragrance I own. It’s not because it’s complex, but through its simplicity that it presents a totally atypical combination of notes. I’ve always perceived gardenia in florals, greens, or springy scents, and this takes it to another level entirely. It’s like a glass of milk with sugar, decorated with countless gardenias. The floral aspect is prominent, as is the gourmand side, yet they balance without being cloying. The milky touch, especially as it dries down and the sweetness recedes, is very palpable; if you don’t like it, run away. It doesn’t look the same but plays the same game as Loewe’s Aura White Magnolia, with its magnolia and cotton candy combo. It seems impossible that they could work and surely have detractors, but my nose likes them; they seem curious to me. The trail is moderate; I’d prefer more projection. On my skin, it lasts about six hours. I tested it in a decant but wouldn’t rule out a bottle if I order from Kyse again; besides being beautiful and original, it’s not expensive. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 6/10, Sillage 6/10, Value for money 7/10, Packaging 5/10. Would I buy again? I didn’t purchase it.
