  Fidelis delivers on its promise and meets my expectations, being a quality and very robust scent. The opening smells of spiced raspberry with cardamom and saffron (for about half an hour), but always with a base of rose, oud, and a lot of cumin. It doesn’t smell bad or feel uncomfortable like others; here, the cumin is very well balanced. Coffee becomes more noticeable upon drying. It’s a quality scent that gives an original twist to the classic rose-oud combo, and its spicy-sweet blend may appeal greatly to lovers of this type of perfume. I see it as exclusive for cold climates (otherwise it would be overwhelming), ideal for semi-formal and formal situations, perfectly unisex, with brutal performance. It’s not my favourite from the brand, but one of the most original, although I understand it reminds me of Interlude. Rating: 7.5/10.

The opening smells of spiced raspberry with cardamom and saffron, though that part fades quickly; from start to finish, rose, oud, and lots of cumin dominate, all very balanced without causing a headache like other perfumes. Coffee appears upon drying. It’s an original twist on the classic rose-oud, spicy and sweet, ideal for cold climates, formal situations, and totally unisex, with brutal performance. It’s not my favourite from the brand, but one of the most original, although it reminds me of Interlude. Rating: 7.5/10.

  I’ve tried all the Histories of Parfums, and when I got my hands on Fidelis, perfumery changed my life for the better. It’s pure art, a complex painting that everyone loves and fascinates me. It smells fierce: the projection, longevity, and intensity are brutal; it won’t let you forget it for a second. The best part is that the evolution is noticeable from the moment you apply it until you bathe; it lasts an eternity—if I hadn’t showered, it would still be there hours later. On clothes, it’s another world; I left a shirt unwashed because it smells so good, the blend is noticeable on a neutral canvas. I won’t break down the notes; it would be like explaining Magritte’s colours; what I like is the whole, like an iconic place where everything is connected: paths, food, people, weather. It’s warm, doesn’t suffocate me, but beware, if you go overboard it smells invasive. This perfume made me research the creators and their stories. Wear it naked or at least think about what you’re going to put on. The day I found it, I bought the two remaining bottles; they’ll last me years even though I use it regularly; over-applying is a sin and it pays off. Recommended for romantic, sensitive people seeking expression, though it may sound odd. It’s invaluable and unique; I compare it to nothing.

It’s a work of art, a complex and fascinating painting that smells strong. Its projection, longevity, and intensity are remarkable; you see and feel it all the time. The best part is that it evolves constantly from the moment you apply it until you decide to bathe, because this EDP lasts an eternity; if I hadn’t showered, it would still be there hours later. On clothes, it lasts forever—in fact, I left a shirt unwashed because it smells so good that the composition is noticeable on the fabric. I won’t break down the notes; it would be like trying to tell you what colours Magritte used in a painting; I prefer to experience it as a whole, an iconic place evoking memories of paths, food, and people that can’t be separated. It’s warm but doesn’t suffocate me, though it can feel invasive if over-applied. This perfume made me research its creators and their history. My advice: wear it naked or think carefully about what you’re going to put on. The day I found it, I bought the two remaining bottles; they’ll last me years despite using it regularly, but I never over-apply because it’s a sin and it shows.
