Volume IV by History in Drops, a floral olfactive family creation launched in 2021 and designed for men and women, reveals a composition orchestrated by perfumer Daniel Josier. The olfactive pyramid unfolds with top notes of hyacinth, mandarin, violet, and bergamot, giving way to a floral heart where jasmine, lily of the valley, ylang-ylang, and rose interweave their scents. The trail settles on a warm, woody base composed of cedar, sandalwood, vetiver, and musk.

History in Drops IV Renaissance is a blend of jasmine, ylang-ylang, hyacinth, sandalwood and cedar that maintains this structure from the very beginning. The hyacinth sometimes stands out with a fresh touch of cut green stem, while at other times the jasmine takes the lead with a fresh rose, all over a creamy and elegant base thanks to the ylang-ylang and sandalwood. I see it as more feminine, but the cedar and that creaminess make it almost unisex. The performance is impeccable: it projects at two metres, lasts two to three hours and stays on for over ten hours. In short, it is floral, elegant, creamy, high-quality and has excellent projection.
