I loved it; I saw reviews on YouTube, read the comments here and became intrigued, so I bought it blindly. And I must say they are not wrong when they say it smells like Lemon Pie, it smells incredible, you feel the quality as with everything from the Chanel house, my friends have asked me what I am wearing and they have loved it. Truthfully it is a great fragrance and very versatile thanks to its fresh and sweet notes, it could even be used in winter without being out of place.

  • This perfume is, along with Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême, my favourite creation from the Allure line. A distinct citrus scent where lemon is the leading note; initially quite acidic and sharp, but then develops with a creamy and sweet touch. In the base, that citrus aspect remains but woody nuances appear, along with a potent yet delicate load of vanilla and also certain warmth and a spicy touch from tonka bean. All of this, combined, reminds many of a lemon cake. So we could even consider it a summer gourmand. Unisex, although I love smelling it more on my partner (male). As I said, ideal for summer days and nights. Moderate projection for the first two hours with total skin longevity around 6-7 hours. I like it very much. I find it extremely captivating, addictive and sensual.

I am not prone to citrus fragrances. So possibly this is the only exception. It is that the elegance this version of Allure Homme possesses is irresistible. A citrus aroma, but with its own personality. It has a touch of creaminess that, in my opinion, makes this citrus fragrance more delicious. This is probably due to the sandalwood and vanilla. The longevity is quite good for a fragrance of this family. On the other hand, the projection is somewhat more moderate. Versatile aroma. Suitable for all seasons. Although it looks more, as expected, in spring and summer. Once again, Chanel surprises us with fragrance made of elegance.

  • IvanPerfumista

Delicious gourmand fragrance that smells like lemon pie. Ufff, I mega love it, I will buy it as soon as I can.

  • It may be a rich, elaborate, gourmand aroma with all the fireworks one could wish for this fragrance as seen in the reviews below, but its performance is so poor that I would pay nothing for it. If it were not for the golden bottle saying CHANEL, I honestly do not believe anyone in their right mind would buy it. There is no way to grab it. It truly defies all logic, unless you have spare money (approx. 100 euros), are willing to apply a minimum of 20 sprays before going out, and are prepared to reapply every 30 minutes. Remember what a PERFUME is, for God’s sake. I am not talking about being invasive, but a perfume must have presence. Performance is not about constantly bringing your wrist to your nose and saying ‘oh, it still smells’, or having to empty 1/4 of the bottle to go out, or avoiding wind and applying vaseline to make it last longer. Please, I do not recommend it at all.

  • Andrea perfumona

My husband wore this two hours ago in a shop. As there was no one around, he applied four sprays to his wrist. He has just arrived home and almost nothing is perceptible… It is so faint that I only guess it was a rich scent that has slightly soaked into his watch. It is impressive that a house like Chanel could have a perfume that lasts less than a body mist.

  • The comment below is curious because I actually got rid of it as the scent became too overwhelming, even though it is citrusy. However, due to its sweetness it leans more towards a lemon dessert than fresh lemon. Conceptually, it reminds me of Oud for Happiness. Among the Allure de Chanel collection, my favourite one, this is the least I like, although the quality and the distinctive touch of the house are evident.

  • Exquisite aroma, but truthfully it is far too expensive for the longevity and sillage it offers.

  • PassioneK9i

It’s rich in the opening, but fades significantly over time and really goes unnoticed (outside of olfactory fatigue). The dry down smells to wet grass, a bit annoying. If you want people to notice your perfume, this isn’t the option. With its price and poor trail, you’ll have to use 10 sprays daily for someone to notice it.

  • Edopsycho

Exquisite; I absolutely love it and it lasts much longer than the reviews below suggest… easily 8 hours.

  • Perezperfumes

As with all Chanel, pure quality. An elegant citrus scent, nothing of that typical synthetic freshness. Here, the Sicilian lemon has musk and a hint of vanilla that sweetens it without masking anything. Fragrance: 9.0 Sillage: 6 Longevity: 6-8 hours Age: 25+ Time: Anytime Season: All year round Ideal for: dates, work, brunches, food pairings, weddings.

  • This is my first review; I don’t own many perfumes (about two years), I’ll try to be objective. Allure Homme Blanche has impressive quality, like almost all Chancels. From the start you note realistic citrus, not like Aqua di Parma, but sharp Sicilian lemon and bergamot. I perceive tonka shortly after; from the 10th minute until it fades, a rich mix of lemon with subtle tonka, musk and amber base. It’s not all about performance or being a beast, but some will be disappointed by the price. On my skin, after 3 hours, it’s detectable at 30 cm. I think it lasts 8 hours with hydrated skin and good pH, without extreme heat. It projects well for the first two hours, then personal bubble and skin scent for the rest. It wasn’t made to attract attention like Bleu or Sport Eau Extreme. It has high attention to detail and demands the wearer. Jacques Polge’s work always had detail, this is no exception. I consider it very good, not a beast in projection or longevity (no quality citrus will be), but there are synthetics close to its superficial sensation. Scent: 9/10, Trail: 5/10, Longevity: 5-8 hours. Time: daytime without extreme heat/humidity, not in winter. Occasion: indoor, casual and semi-formal. Hope it’s useful.

Clean, citrusy perfume with a very slight vanilla note. It doesn’t smell like a lemon pie because the vanilla isn’t very present, but you can feel the quality. Suitable for all ages, easy to like. A safe purchase though redundant if you already have another citrus. It’s rich but nothing extraordinary. Generates some compliments.

  • Bastian De Gerenis

I’d dare say it’s the sexiest in the Allure line, with Sport Eau Extreme in second place. It’s very masculine, elegant and clean. Women will love it.

  • IvanPerfumista

@Hocicosensible I absolutely love Edition Blanche; it’s on my wish list. It’s a high point in perfumery. Near my workplace there’s an official Chanel counter; I asked a sales assistant if she’d gift me a decant. She said she didn’t have an original factory stock but did refill a vial. She put in 10 or 20 sprays and I took the original vial home with Edition Blanche. Chanel fragrances don’t last long; they play with the ephemeral. But they have density; I don’t know how to explain it. Poor quality ones are ‘porous’; the good ones are ‘solid’, imagine the surface of a mirror. That’s what I feel when smelling a Chanel. I keep the original vial. Best wishes.

  • Hocicosensible

To summarise: exquisite scent, lasts 15 minutes. Those claiming 5-8 hours must have had a good joint. Projection: 0 minutes, nothing, absolutely zero. Leave me the nonsense about Chanel quality; I care not a jot about quality if it lasts 15 minutes. You can start waking up. It used to be the best, now it isn’t. This Edition Blanche is a bloody joke. Many brands are pulling the wool over people’s eyes. Dior with Sauvage, Elixir, Homme Parfum, Fahrenheit etc… JPG, or Kenzo which is a wonder in terms of duration and projection. The Allure line is a laugh, the Bleu line is a bluff. Tremendous that only Antaeus and Egoiste are standing up today. Let’s hope Olivier Polge does something decent.

  • A beautiful aroma that revitalises you and puts you in a good mood, almost medicinal. It’s among the best of the citrus line, creamy and tempting to eat. Quality ingredients, as one would expect from Chanel given its high cost. I used it in summer and autumn; it doesn’t shine as much in the cold. The trail is powerful and distinctive. As I read elsewhere, the longevity doesn’t stand out for the price. Smelling it reminded me of Natura’s ‘Humor’ when I was 16, good memories. Unfortunately, the Natura one lasts longer despite being of inferior quality.

  • Carlos Cardozo

A delight; it would be my signature scent if it weren’t so expensive and hard to get hold of.

  • Hocicosensible

Hello, I don’t understand why Fragantica insists on deleting my reviews. I just saw they’ve removed this one too. Never mind, I’m posting it again because some people get annoyed when they say Chanel falls apart. To summarise: exquisite scent, but it lasts 30 minutes. Those claiming 5-8 hours must have consumed something unusual. Projection: 15 minutes, nothing, absolutely zero. This Edition Blanche is a joke. Leave me the nonsense about Chanel quality; I care little about quality if it lasts 15 minutes. You can start waking up. It used to be the best, now it isn’t. Many brands are pulling the wool over people’s eyes. Dior with Sauvage, Elixir, Homme Parfum, Fahrenheit etc… JPG with Ultramales or Le Parfum, or Kenzo which is a wonder in terms of duration and projection. The Allure line is a crying shame, the Bleu line is a bluff. Only Antaeus and Egoiste are standing up today. Let’s hope Olivier Polge does something decent.

  • What a gem, I absolutely adore it. Lemon with sweet accords that project freshness and elegance all the time. I can smell the lemon, the musk, and the vanilla; it has such a lovely vibe. Perfect for hot, sunny days, not really for the cold. A very versatile scent; the only downside is the price doesn’t quite match the performance. 10/10 for the aroma, but I’m deducting points overall due to my high standards.

  • poblete.erik@gmail.com

Despite the years, this fragrance remains of great elegance for summer weather. Furthermore, its creaminess is notable after 20 minutes of application. I bought it blind and I have no regrets.

Allure Homme Edition Blanche was the first perfume I really liked from CHANEL. Chanel has something that attracts you, a magic ✨. The composition is simple but it smells very, very well. It’s like drinking lemonade and eating a lemon tart. All that in a bottle. I feel like licking my arm 😂. Longevity is quite good, a bit more than 8 hours (although it varies), and the trail is regular 😬. In short, it’s exquisite and I love the well-being it gives. It lifts the mood. Indicated for spring and summer, during the day. It was luck to find this EDT Concentrated version, but with the current EDP it’s more of the same, it doesn’t change much.

  • BeatrizBlackwood

It’s a lemon tart, opens very citrusy, immediately turns slightly lactonic like a lemon ice cream with mint. A fresh perfume that puts you in a good mood, very delicious and sexy. I loved it.

  • YoungPerfumeMan

I had the luck to try it recently in my city for 110 USD. I smelled the other Allures but I like this one more for longevity and projection. At first it smells like sliced lemon, then like fresh lemonade freshly served; after a few minutes it stays fresh and musky. Recommended, pity that in some places it sells very expensive as it is discontinued.

  • An exquisite aroma, with the quality that characterises Chanel. A creamy and sweet citrus. Fresh but with body. Obviously, it has many more notes than declared; a normal perfume has over a hundred notes and only mentions the significant ones, so every nose smells differently. The opening is lemon, which quickly turns creamy; that creaminess doesn’t come from the sandalwood which acts later, possibly an undeclared coumarin that provides that early sweetness. A rich opening that gives happiness. In the dry down, the lemon doesn’t disappear but loses presence in front of the vanilla and vetiver, which give it masculine stature; the perfume becomes darker, although probable musks keep it soapy and clean. Even at the end, it approaches Eau Extreme but less sweet. Longevity varies according to the dryness or hydration of the skin; in my case 6 hours with moderate but permanent projection. A beautiful perfume of great molecular quality and alcohols. Versatile due to that creaminess, spiced and vetiver, useful beyond summer and during the day. Elegant and luminous. Perfect as a signature. For any age. Nothing to envy from insignias like Batito d’Ali. A 10/10.

  • JohnAcosta25

How delightful, a more elegant citrus than fresh, ideal for dressing well in spring with distinction. It’s like a meringue lemon pie where pink pepper and vetiver combine to create that masculine and refined aroma, with a distinct vanilla that adds a powdery touch without becoming cloying. Perfect for the morning and starting the day right. In terms of longevity and quality, it is above average, moderate trail, nothing beast mode, but a personal fragrance for special occasions or the office in spring-summer. Sometimes it’s hard to find or expensive, but on offer it is a sublime option of class and quite unique.

  • I have batches from 2016 and one from 2023/24 in decant, and they perform EXACTLY the same. Yes, they are reformulated, but in this case, neither before did it last 12 hours nor now 3 hours. There are slight differences in aroma due to the age of each bottle, but they are imperceptible unless you smell them side by side. Among my favourites.

  • Allure Homme Edition Blanche by Chanel… what a tale regarding the reformulation. This eau de parfum (2023 bottle) is truly expensive nowadays if you compare it to what it offers: half an hour of projection and 3-4 hours on the skin. Be totally honest so you know where your money is going (which isn’t given away). Despite this, the scent is very pleasant, with a classic 90s profile, but without the good performance of the EDPs from that era. Now it smells more ethereal than an EDP should, indicating a drop in content quality. I bought this bottle expecting it to last 5-6 hours like the 2017 version, but the reformulation has decreased it significantly. I’d rather gift it to my nephew so he can use it at school. Don’t rely solely on the rating; time influences quality. Buying it today could be losing money. If you want a good citrus with the original spirit (a lemon tart), I recommend Lemon Tart by Theodoros Kalotinis or Lemon Line by Mancera, both niche and of superior quality.

  • PezDeCiudad

@DvDgM16 the change isn’t in the EDP, but in the first Edition Blanche from 2008 (which is the one you review and I’m responding to), which was an EDT Concentrée, discontinued and replaced by the current EDP. I can assure you (and I spent more than three 150ml bottles because I didn’t care about the season, it smelled wonderful, and there weren’t as many influencers saying when to use it) that the EDT Concentrée lasted much longer than the current EDP, which I still buy because the scent is a treat (practically the same as the EDT) and I haven’t found anything similar, although its longevity is poor (and even more so given the price).

  • disquitopower

What can I say that hasn’t been said about this EDP? Since I discovered it, it’s my signature. To start with the negative, we must be realistic: very low projection. For me, it projects for 20-30 minutes and lasts on the skin for no more than 3 hours if you’re generous. If you want it to last longer, spray it on your clothes. The scent captivates me, puts me in a trance, disconnects me, gives me energy and confidence, and takes me back to my childhood, reminding me who I am and who I could be… Well, leaving aside the subjective part and the exaggeration for fun, the smell is very pleasant but I’m the only one who notices it. I’ve tried other Allures and have the same feeling with the performance. The difference is that I keep coming back to buy this one and again in 150 ml. It’s inimitable; I’ve been looking for an alternative that I like as much or more for so long that I’ve given up. I keep this for myself and my intimate moments, where those who get close do notice it and cling to my clothes. For parties, I go for a sweet one that isn’t too cloying, like JPG.

  • I’ve never understood the hype. It’s similar to Versace Pour Homme and costs three times as much. Furthermore, if you’re looking for an unusual citrus, there are options like Lanvin L’Homme or Guerlain L’Homme Ideal (Cool and Cologne), although they are discontinued. If you like the DNA of Allure, I’d go for the original, which is better: Allure Homme EDT.

  • Avgvstissimo

I’m sorry about its price versus performance. It’s lovely… yes, but it no longer has any punch.

  • I don’t know this lotion… but it smells like you watched Juan’s ‘Hueleme Mucho’ video 😉

  • Nariz Feliz

It’s citrusy, woody and mature. Energising and a pleasure to apply. For an eau de parfum, I expected better longevity, but it depends on the skin.

  • Honestly, I only sensed the lemon. If you’re Argentine, it smells like the Torpedo lemon (kiosk ice cream). It’s not a bad smell, but to be honest, I wouldn’t wear it.

  • Like the Guerlain Vetiver, this fragrance stands out for its citrus notes when cold and vetiver when warm.

  • I headed straight to the shop because Fragantica said it resembles my favourite, Paz Humor 6. Upon spraying, I detected a fresh lemon note with a hint of citronella. I liked it quite a bit, although the similarity isn’t total (I’d say around 70%) and the performance is average. I did a compliment test with the original and the Paz won. I recommend trying both before buying to see if it’s worth it or if it’s what you’re looking for.
