Another Chanel masterpiece, a true all-rounder, good for any moment, season and age. I have nothing more to say, it is all said already ☺️
No matter where I am or what I am wearing; when I put on this perfume, I feel like a lady.
An elegant, sophisticated and classic perfume. The fresh citrus blends with the intensity of patchouli, resins and woods. Beautiful, it smells clean and crisp. It is an addictive scent. I love it and it is a must-have in my collection. That said, it is not for everyone; it has a certain seriousness that may not convince some. Coco Mademoiselle EDT 10/10. Thank you, Chanel!
A perfume from so many years ago that smelling it reminds me of my grandmother’s fabrics; all the ladies smelled of this aroma. It has some note in me that makes me not like it entirely.
One of the best women’s perfumes I have ever smelled, I love it.
Signature perfume 💖 This classic is impossible not to own at least once. It never fails; you will always receive at least one compliment. Basically, it is an exquisite sweet citrus opening, followed by an elegant rose that blends with impeccable patchouli, all over a very sweet base. When I want to go somewhere elegant or feel sophisticated, I choose it 💖. It is inevitable for Chanel. For a reason, it is what it is. It is a must-have basic. It is not a lady’s perfume or an old lady’s tea scent; it is a TRUE GENTLEMAN PERFUME with all the letters, barely 20 years old and still extremely current thanks to its notes. So lovelyy😍💕💕💕💕
I adore it! It is my go-to scent for everything. I could not like it more 😉 I would ask that the top notes linger a little longer… though I am not sure if that is possible. The other option, which I do not rule out, is to wear it all day to enjoy that first splash.
A sophisticated essence that screams femininity; upon opening, it draws curious glances. It could easily be the scent of Marie Antoinette in Versailles, amidst light gowns, pastries, and fine crystal. It smells like a very particular colour: pink.
It is a truly feminine perfume. Divine and refined. I wish it had more sillage. Scent: 10, Longevity: 8, On clothes: 10, Sillage: 2.
I love it
It was my first citrus fragrance, and although it didn’t impress me at first, it’s now one of my favourites. People always compliment me, and as it dries down, it becomes super attractive.
It’s curious that the description says citrus because I find it super sweet, probably due to the patchouli. I don’t see it as elegant, but it is pretty. It’s not cloying, but its longevity is enviable, lasting until the next day.
Every time I run out of it, I put on another because it smells delicious; it’s one of my favourite perfumes forever, I love it ❤️
Thanks to this perfume, I’ve finally developed a taste for citrus notes.
I’m a fan of sweet perfumes and bought it with that in mind, but it caught me by surprise: it smells like talcum powder, much more than I expected. Although it lasts all day, I don’t finish the bottle because the scent bothers me and gives me the willies.
I love it… I know there are many imitations, but when you buy the original, you know and recognise that the effect, the longevity, and the true DNA of the perfume are spectacular… I wear it day and night; it’s intoxicating, sexy, and divine. It’s neither sweet nor citrusy; I think the combination of its components makes a beautiful fragrance that dresses you up. If you wear it with jeans, you’ll look divine, and if you wear it with an evening dress, it works too; it’s an all-rounder. Chanel always surprising and positively. You must test it on skin, not on blotting paper, because it changes a lot. The trail it leaves is wonderful…
I bought it trusting the reviews I’d read. It’s citrusy yet sweet at the same time. In my opinion, it’s not elegant; it’s lovely, but I must say it smells very similar to the Vesen (orange) by Jafra, which is much cheaper in terms of cost, so I wouldn’t spend money on this knowing there’s a much cheaper alternative.
I thought it would be a super exquisite scent, but nah. It’s citrusy and fresh. Club de Nuit Woman smells identical, exactly the same!!! I own both, and I prefer the Arabic version; it has better sillage, longer lasting power, and is much cheaper. If you want to smell like Coco M. but without spending so much money, the Arabic version for me is the best option.
This perfume is delicious; a combination of sophisticated and elegant.
I think it has been massified so much and seems to have suffered a reformulation that took away its touch. Citrus, fresh, summery. Casual, too normal for the price it has.
A beautiful, fresh, elegant, timeless fragrance. Recommended for any woman, regardless of her stage in adulthood.
Sometimes it is scary to review perfumes due to the prestige of the house and colleagues’ opinions. My olfactory point differs from what I read, and with all due respect, I set down my impressions of this Coco Mademoiselle (unreformulated version). I think this C.M. is for people who really do not like Chanel or classic Chanel, because it does not smell like Chanel. Or at least I do not fully identify it with the house. It does not matter, that is not bad. I also think it is a contemporary classic. It is already a classic, it has created a school, it has been imitated to satiety and for that very reason it causes certain fatigue. It is a good fragrance, undeniable, and it will remain so; what does not take away is that we are tired of it and do not like it either. There is nothing written about tastes. It is citrusy, powdery, woody. It is distinguished, fussy and smells expensive. But it conveys nothing to me; I do not know in what occasion to wear it, I do not see it as versatile or pleasant, rather full of edges and a bit glib. At times it seems sour to me. It is a femininity that is a bit kitsch and distant that does not go with me, that is not me. So C.M. is not for me. Let the world keep spinning.
Club de Nuit Woman has a very prominent peach note that is not present in this Coco. Furthermore, the Chanel one is more ‘bright’ and smells like money. The similarity is only 50%.
On my skin, I only sense the patchouli from start to finish. I do not notice the citrus or floral notes, nor do I feel them attacking. Generally, I do not tolerate strong smells but this one does not seem heavy to me. It is intoxicating, in a good way. On my skin, only the sweet notes stick and I like them. I think summer is the only season where I would not wear it because it might feel overwhelming. It seems more suitable for daily use; I am not very sure I feel it appropriate for a formal or evening event. I do not know if my perception will change with use because I acquired it recently, but I will update my review if I need to adjust my rating ☺️
I return to the aura that surrounds Coco: always young and unmistakable. An orange citrus fruitiness with an elegant base of vanilla, musk and cedar that accompanies you from morning to night. My problem was always abusing its charm and longevity, not letting it settle. Due to its price and offers, it is no longer so mass-produced; it returns to being an identity scent, unique once again, marking an timeless style.
I bought it because they said it was similar to my out-of-production Miss Dior Cherie; it’s a bit like it but not the same. It’s lovely, I love it, it smells beautiful. It is true that Club de Nuit Woman is identical in my opinion, but Coco Mademoiselle has that touch of smelling like money. I have both, but this one feels like an expensive perfume; don’t ask me why, it just feels that way. When it runs out, I will buy it again for that unique touch, even though many have tried to imitate it.
People always tell me I smell expensive. It is elegant, youthful, fresh but with presence. It is my favourite from Chanel. I always keep a spare in my collection.
I don’t know how anyone can like this… it gives me an olfactory punch that leaves me with a headache and feeling repulsed. I hate roses, but the other notes should work well… I don’t know, I truly hate it. It smells like an older lady who perfumes herself on Sundays to go to mass in a mink coat, frizzy hair and imitation handbags, spraying everyone around. It smells like a damp room with mould and a jumble of air fresheners that stinks. The only good thing is that it has a trail and good longevity on the skin.
This smells lit to old.
One of those fragrances you yearn to try… personally, I didn’t like it. I find it heavy and outdated, or perhaps a bit too masculine for my taste, with that spiced, citrus, vanilla, and boozy touch… no! I also don’t understand why mature women like it; it gave me a headache.
Giving Coco Mademoiselle to my mother-in-law was more than a gift; I gave her a taste of France. It is an elegant, sophisticated essence that transports you to the Riviera. It begins with the freshness of bergamot and orange, then blooms with rose, jasmine and mimosa, finishing with a warm base of patchouli and vanilla. It smells like a stroll through Saint-Tropez: sea breeze, luxury and beauty. It is the scent of a confident woman in sunglasses and a flowing dress, enjoying life with class. If a perfume can encapsulate a memory, this one does it perfectly.
Jacques Polge is undoubtedly one of the best perfumers in modern history (I believe he’s a genius; his son Oliver is also very talented), and in my opinion this is one of his signature creations. It’s a very distinctive scent that repositioned Chanel. His creation of Chance (the original) is also excellent, a little fresher and younger but of the same style as Coco Mademoiselle. It was so original that it set trends in other houses, such as Carolina Herrera. This perfume, especially the historical version, was surprisingly overtaken by the one created by his own son for Lancôme: La Vie Est Belle.
Elegant, classic, refined. It has a presence that commands attention, yet also an enveloping femininity, like a silk dress in ivory. I feel it as a subtle, fragrant, and dignified armour.
After a while without using it, I suddenly start missing it: that dry-down, that class, that ability to last and stay present!! I don’t care if people say it smells vintage. At the prices commercial perfumes are charging nowadays, this is quality. I love it for today and for forever. For everyday wear, I can assure you, three sprays last all day… for evening it’s breathtaking, and if you use it with its oil, the result is brilliant. If I were a man, I’d fall in love with a woman who smelled like this.
A different and sophisticated fragrance; it’s a Chanel No. 5 but more feminine and aimed at a younger audience. It’s very long-lasting; I recommend trying a sampler first as it can be a complex scent, though very fresh.
I owned it, didn’t finish it, it broke, and I didn’t mind… It’s classic, elegant, and highlights the patchouli (which I personally like), but in the end it’s a bit forgettable.
Unlike the ‘pure’ Parfum, this feels more tropical, citrusy, less smoky, sensual, and less heavy. I use the EDP to boost the scent and it doesn’t lose its luxurious aura, though it’s even fresher… I absolutely adore this characteristic Chanel patchouli! No dupe can replicate it. When I go to bed I spray it on, and when I wake up I still smell it; sometimes I even eat breakfast with it on thanks to its tenacity. Citrus opening, floral heart, and resinous base, nobody could hate it. 8.5/10.
I tried it at the airport and at first it didn’t grab my attention much, but after a few minutes I smelled it again on my wrist and it seemed an extremely elegant scent, in the style of Chanel No. 5, but I prefer this one. I’m not always a fan of vintage perfumes, but I would use this if I could afford it.
I tested both side by side: Coco Mademoiselle and the Intense. The original opens fresh and citrusy, settling into a soapy, talcum-dry, and very elegant dry-down, which makes it easier to wear if you’re not into strong scents. The Intense is more oriental, with a minty hint that perhaps comes from the patchouli, but it just doesn’t convince me, so I’m sticking with the original.
When I think of citrus perfumes, this is the very first one that springs to mind… it’s the best! I adore every single note and the harmony between them. It smells so refined… a total success, I would repeat it many times without a doubt.
