So much rose this perfume gives! I tried it in perfumeries and it dried like a floor cleaner, horrible. I said okay, I’ll try again, but the same result, a disappointment because I love the name and the packaging; it reminds me of L’Eau Par Kenzo, which I used years ago and was a jewel for me.
I’m still angry about the fragrance and it’s that for the price you pay, you have the right to demand quality, for it to last, to project, and everything a perfume is supposed to offer. Anyway, the truth is that when I bought it, so angry was I that I sprayed and reapplied it so many times to feel its presence. After keeping it for a year and a half, I took it out; I think the maceration helped the fixatives concentrate or something like that; the truth is it smells better than it did a year and a half ago, but it’s not a case where the consumer should continue with the process to obtain a good product. Anyway, I’ll leave you the anecdote in case it helps for this fragrance.
It’s delicious; I’m going for my fourth bottle, and sadly the fragrance is no longer the same as the first and second I bought; it doesn’t last long and doesn’t feel like before. With the third bottle I thought perhaps it was that batch, but I bought it again and coincidentally the same. However, the summer version they’re promoting, when I tried it, reminded me a lot of the first time I felt the traditional one. I don’t think I’ll insist any more with this one, which was one of my favourites.
Lemon ice cream, gentle sea breezes, feeling the salty water in the sea… it’s the perfect definition of an Italian summer or a Mediterranean holiday. Citrus, clean, aquatic, bright, cheerful, balanced… an instant classic. It can be informal or elegant, as it’s a versatile scent. It’s ideal for use on a sunny day or at a distinguished dinner near the beach. But to be fair, I must point out the three negative aspects I identify: the first is longevity; I’d like it to last longer, it lasts less than three hours. The second is that it’s overused and has several copies and inspirations, as it’s usually a scent found within popular knowledge. Some of us have perceived that scent at some point in our lives. And finally, the presentation, as due to its price it could be more attractive; I understand its minimalist concept to a certain extent, but I think it deserves better packaging to represent the beauty it is. Apart from the above, it deserves all the recognition it has and deserves to be among the best perfumes of all time, marking a milestone in perfumery history. A marvel.
It’s fun to think that some women are more Light Blue and others more Acqua Di Gioia, all depending on whether you prefer lime or lemon. Personally, Acqua Di Gioia is my favourite summer perfume and I’d use it forever. Light Blue has a well-presented lemon that is by no means unpleasant; it’s not as sweet as ADG but definitely not ‘cold’ like a white floral perfume. The apple note does its thing without taking the lemon’s spotlight. Since it has a more marked freshness, I think it would be more bearable than ADG in very high temperatures (I don’t use ADG above 30 degrees; that’s where Angel Nova comes in). The rose note truly doesn’t come across on my skin, and I don’t think the perfume needs it. I’m not sure if it’s so much a ‘clean’ smelling perfume, but it is fresh and feminine, excellent for summer. It’s worth giving it a try.
One of the best perfumes for women of all ages; it’s worth it.
The problem with this fragrance is that the scent fades quickly. It’s delicious to me; I’ve had it twice, but I’m thinking of buying it again because it doesn’t last on the skin; they should improve the fixative, even if it costs more.
Is it a cliché perfume? Yes… Does it lack personality? Also… Does it smell like a middle-class holiday resort? Maybe… Are the synthetic notes noticeable? Of course, but I love it anyway. I don’t know which synthetic note has an effect on me equivalent to monosodium glutamate in food; it’s addictive, so I didn’t rest until my husband gave it to me as a birthday present. I’m keeping it for spring-summer 2025 and I know I’ll enjoy it a lot… although I’m not sure if I’ll enjoy it for long or short. Lately, what I do when a perfume becomes prosaic to my palate is to mix it with other scents in my collection. I fancy adding Guerlain’s Nerolia Vetiver, Marc Jacobs’ Daisy Dream, and Jo Malone’s Earl Grey & Cucumber to it.
I tried it today and can only say that the strong Sicilian lemon in the first five minutes was wonderful, but afterwards I was left with an intense smell of apple and bamboo. It’s a very strong and sweet scent; I thought it would be fresher and that’s how it seemed. At first I liked it, but on my skin it feels too intense and sweet, which I didn’t like.
I asked my boyfriend to rate it and he gave it a 6.9. He said it lacked a citrus touch, isn’t very potent, but it’s not bad. I absolutely love it for summer; it reminds me of Limoncello liqueur.
I gifted it to my wife because I adore that scent: fresh citrus with floral and green notes. It’s subtle yet consistent. Unlike the men’s version, it lasts over five hours. It’s a classic and, despite the years passing, I’m still delighted to smell it in summer.
A cult-classic musky and woody citrus scent, which is why it’s so ubiquitous. It’s fairly unisex, but the floral notes keep it slightly feminine. I’m a lover of citrus and really enjoy it, but it lacks good longevity, sillage and projection. Add to that the excessive price. Applying it is a refreshing pleasure that lasts mere minutes and stays close to the skin for about three hours. I’ve used it for years and still like it, but I won’t be buying it again. I’d recommend the Intense version instead; it smells the same but projects much more, though I’m not sure if it lasts longer.
Finally tried this perfume with all the hype, but the truth is I didn’t like it at all. It smells like lemon ice cream, that’s all. It feels very close to the skin and after an hour you can’t detect it anymore. In Argentina it’s ridiculously expensive and not worth it with so many cheap dupes available.
It just smells like detergent; I wouldn’t buy it.
What can you say about Light Blue if it’s not one of the best feminine citrus scents? It smells like clean laundry and lemon ice cream. I’m a fan of citrus in summer and it never disappoints. It’s a blend of freshness, calmness and sensuality that transports you to the countryside. An absolute must-have on my shelf.
So far the best citrus I’ve tried that’s feminine; that didn’t stop me from buying it. Very good for summer, 10/10.
A classic of modern perfumery. Fresh, charming and versatile citrus. It’s the epitome of summer and the heat. It outshines bitter and boring masculine scents by a mile. It’s totally unisex, like CK One, a heir to Mediterranean Italian colognes. I see it as more unisex than many current masculine aromas with hints of vanilla, caramel or jasmine for long-haired gentlemen. Baffling. Naturally, being a pop citrus, it doesn’t last long: max 3-4 hours and a weak trail, but I prefer it to other expensive fragrances that smell like old socks.
One of the best fresh scents out there… I live where it’s 30 degrees and wow, this fragrance is perfect. I’ve tried other citrus scents but always come back to it. It gives a sense of cleanliness and energy. Does it cost a lot because it doesn’t last? So what? It lasts like a football match, about two hours, and the prices are ridiculous. Yes, it doesn’t last long, but it’s worth it.
I want it.
I’m going to have to admit this, but it’s the truth 😅. I’ve never been a fan of lemon; to me, it smells like bathroom cleaner. For those who like it, yes, it smells like fresh lemon and sticks in the heat, but it lasts very little. I wouldn’t wear it again. I don’t understand the hype; it seems like a normal, boring fragrance. Besides, I don’t like walking around smelling like bathroom air freshener.
Short version: a citrus with a lovely woody touch, but it fades within an hour. Perhaps it’s my skin, but it’s very energising and clean, ideal for summer. It’s pretty and classic, though there are citrus scents that last longer.
Personally, nothing spectacular about this fragrance. It’s a lemon perfume, but a lemon freshly cut in half. If you ask me, despite the spectacular reviews on social media, I wouldn’t buy it again.
Have you ever eaten a lemon with salt? This perfume reminds me of that; it makes my mouth water. If I could eat it, it would taste exactly like that. The problem is that it evokes more sensations in the mouth than the nose; the one time I saw someone wearing it, it smelled like armpit. It’s a citrus that doesn’t smell clean, but rather acidic.
My boyfriend gave it to me and I like it a lot. The opening is quite citrusy, it smells like someone is eating an orange in a closed room, haha. Then it starts to smell slightly woody. It’s very pleasant, it doesn’t smell heavy or like floor cleaner to me, unlike what I’ve read. Ideal for warm climates. The downside is that it doesn’t last long, but it’s worth it if you like unisex citrus scents.
It’s one of my favourite perfumes. It smells clean and I find it very elegant. It’s a pity it lasts so little on the skin.
I bought this perfume with high expectations based on the reviews and it has disappointed me: it doesn’t smell on my skin and its longevity is very scarce, if not non-existent.
I bought it because the reviews said I’d like it, but it was a huge disappointment. It doesn’t smell on my skin or anywhere else. The tiny hint of kitchen lemon that comes out when you spray it vanishes in three seconds. A waste of money, stay away.
It’s for everyday wear, not special occasions. It’s pleasant, with a subtle but rich citrus scent. The longevity is decent, although it’s not the kind of perfume that makes you noticeable when you pass by.
Not everyone is a team citrus, but I absolutely love it. It’s one of my favourites because of that sparkling opening of lemon and green apple; it projects really well on my skin. Ideal for everyday wear: soft, fresh and smells clean. Don’t expect complexity here because there isn’t any.
This perfume is so counterfeit that I recommend buying it in a shop. If you find a super-low price on eBay or Facebook, it’s probably fake, so be careful.
This is a perfume I will never buy again because simply, I will never finish it N U N C A 🫠. I bought it blind because I heard good reviews and I didn’t yet know this site with more honest opinions. It smells like a baby’s diaper with wee in it; I don’t know who would recommend it or even my worst enemy… smelling it is torture. I simply keep it because it’s part of my collection and nothing more.
I’m not sure if this is for everyone, but that woody lemon note transports you straight to Italy. 10 out of 10.
I liked it, but it falls short. It gives me a sensation of excessive alcohol. Anyway, I only detect three scents: citrus (the dominant one), fresh, and then after an hour, musky. I would like it to last longer, leave a trail, not just in the first few minutes, and finally, I wouldn’t need to spray it more than seven times to smell it.
It’s a 90% citrus perfume, with a sparkling, super-dominant lemon note at first. The other 10% feels sweet, I suppose due to the floral and apple notes… My nose isn’t trained yet 😅. Ideal for the heat, pity its projection is so poor. After two hours, it only smells close to the skin. If you buy it blind, I recommend it only if you enjoy citrus; otherwise, it will be a huge disappointment.
It was a blind buy, I let myself be guided by social media reviews. It is fresh, yes, and highlights the lemon 🍋 and apple 🍏 a lot. But I won’t buy it again; it gives me the same smell as the fabulous Green, that citrus one.
I know it’s a totally overused perfume, but what a wonder, what a trail for a fresh fruity scent. Olivier Cresp never disappoints and I don’t mind smelling the same as everyone else (I think it’s the most viral perfume I can remember); it’s a marvel.
I tried it in a shop and it smells of lemon; it reminds me of the original 300 Km from Avon, but this one is fresher.
I love this fragrance; it’s super fun. At first, it smells lovely of lemon and green apple in a pleasant way, but as it settles, the lemon blends with an amber and woody heart. To me, it’s a daytime scent, quite fresh and versatile, making it the ideal summer perfume. A great blind buy.
A tasty fragrance that must be in your collection ❤️🫠. It’s as fresh as they come, which is why so many clones exist.
I bought this as a gift about 5-6 years ago and still have a little left. It smells of intense, fresh, clean lemon, although it doesn’t last as long as I expected. It’s a notable fragrance; during the day the lemon notes seem more bitter and I preferred it in cooler climates. Now, after years of storage, the scent and intensity have changed completely, with much stronger woody and amber notes giving it a more mature profile.
