I just tried it at Sephora and it is a very overused and worn-out scent. It is quite different olfactorily from the Light Blue and that change is for the worse, but well, that is what there is. I expected something good when I saw it on the counter.
It will be one of my bets for the summer season of 2025. Tired of an ‘Arab winter’ (Khamrah Qahwa, Vintage Radio, Amber Oud Gold Edition Al Haramain…), I’m starting to crave citrus, marine, and woody scents—things that evoke good weather and warm climates. This winter and spring have been wet and cold in my area (central Spain), so I’m looking for holiday vibes and sunshine. I’ll give this Light Blue Capri In Love Pour Homme Eau de Parfum a try. It’s annoying that they only list three notes, but here’s what I perceive: it opens with black pepper, slightly soapy, citrusy, and spicy. The heart and base are fig and patchouli. It reminds me a lot of Kenzo EDT. Any perfume with fig tends to do this to me; it’s a subtler blend than Kenzo and slightly earthier and greener. Longevity is about three hours properly, with another three or four hours as a very light trail. I did like it. Perhaps if you own Kenzo it might be redundant, but within this line it adds a touch I absolutely loved.
It is an Eau de Parfum in a different bottle, haha. It is nothing like a summer scent as one might expect from a Light Blue Pour Homme. It is rubbish.
It’s a K in another bottle, haha. Not summer-like at all as one might expect from a men’s LB. It’s rubbish.
If you combine D&G’s Light Blue with JPG’s Le Beau Paradise Garden you get this Capri in Love. I liked the scent and the longevity reached 5-6 hours but I already have similar scents and am tired of perfumes with fig and sweet coconut notes for summer. Let the next one pass.
Another forgettable flanker. It doesn’t seem summer-like to me; it’s citrus, woody and green, reminding me very much of Vibe S, but with more force and bite. It gave me a headache with just two sprays. The fig and patchouli are so green they go unnoticed. For me, it’s a no.
Another forgettable flanker. First it doesn’t seem anything like summer to me; it’s a green woody citrus that reminds me a lot of its predecessor Vibe S but with more presence and a sharper edge. It gave me a headache with just two sprays. The fig and patchouli are so green they go unnoticed. For me it’s a no.
For me it’s the best summer launch of 2025. Its opening is striking typical of the Light Blue line but less invasive. The heart is sweeter with floral hints and a touch of noble wood. I think Dolce & Gabbana opted to lower the intensity and extend the longevity and they succeeded. I bought a decant and it’s easy to carry pleasant and fulfilling. It’s more daytime; perhaps for evening if you don’t want to draw too much attention. Scent 8/10 projection 7/10 longevity 10/10. I’ve already ordered a small bottle I’ll enjoy it. I don’t understand some of the negative reviews.
Light Blue Capri in Love Pour Homme is green fruity and woody. The opening is very green like unripe fig and I liked it. Over time woody patchouli emerges but the green fruity accord dominates. Although it lacks citrus it’s ideal for day and summer thanks to the green chords; the woody base gives it versatility for spring and autumn. It serves for everything: casual office or formal. It lasts between 7 and 8 hours with moderate to low sillage. It smells very different from typical marine or citrus summer versions although Italian Love and Light Blue Forever used grapefruit. For me it’s a good fragrance.
I went to a Primor and I got soaked in it, haha… everything was to spray it on a dryer sheet and fall in love; the sales assistant was left with a face of… Excuse me? 😀 I took 15 sprays from there!! It smells super delicious; give it a try. The longevity hasn’t been very long; that’s the only thing I don’t like, about five hours projecting moderately for about two hours. It’s the typical fragrance you love but you have to go with a decant to revive it; if it lasted a bit longer, I would buy a palette, haha.
The sun shines and creates a relaxed atmosphere; Capri in Love fits this mood perfectly: a citrusy creamy and spicy mist that settles on the skin. It vaguely reminds me of Marc Jacobs’ Bang Bang where the pepper creates that sensation. Fig is added: fine bright luminous. Do you know that effect when the sun heats up so much that the street ‘shines’? That’s the blend on my skin. The note persists throughout the fragrance. It doesn’t smell like freshly laundered clothes but rather a well-cared-for person or clean crisp linen. It gives me the impression of a spa hotel like a breakfast lounge with scented sticks showered guests and staff in crisp white. Ideal for spring and summer. I can’t wait to wear it at work with people and heat; it brings freshness and care. I’m in love it lasts six hours on the skin. The bottle is beautiful fits the hand perfectly and the design is brilliant. Few differences with the ‘Woman’ version try both and decide.
Light Blue Capri in Love Pour Homme is green, fruity, and woody. The opening is very green, like unripe fig, and I liked it. Over time, woody patchouli emerges, but the green fruity accord dominates. Although it lacks citrus, it’s ideal for day and summer due to the green accords; the woody base gives it versatility for spring and autumn. It suits everything: casual, office, or formal. It lasts between seven and eight hours, with a regular but low sillage. It smells very different from typical summer marine or citrus versions, although Italian Love and Light Blue Forever used grapefruit. For me, it’s a good fragrance.
I went to Primor and got soaked in it, haha. The sales assistant looked at me like ‘what?’ and I walked away with 15 sprays. It smells incredible but doesn’t last long, about 5 hours projecting only 2. It’s that kind of fragrance you adore but need a decant to revive; if it lasted longer, I’d take the whole pack.
Capri in Love Pour Homme completely surprised me. I expected something fruity, fresh, and easy, but found something else: a much more mature, balanced, and differentiated fragrance. At first, it didn’t convince me, but the more I tried it, the more I valued it until I ended up buying the bottle. The fig, patchouli, and black pepper stand out, though there is an undeclared note that is evident: cedar, which gives it structure and brightness, accompanied by a green note like a fig leaf that adds character. Everything is perfectly assembled. Nothing stands out aggressively, but everything is perceptible. On skin, it is fairly linear: it becomes softer over time but also denser when smelled up close. It is not changeable, but stable, with no unexpected twists or sudden drops. What makes it special is the absence of citrus and white flowers, something rare in designer summer perfumes. This gives it a more serious and refined atmosphere without losing freshness. Ideal for those seeking something different without leaving the easy format. It is elegant, relaxed, good taste, and bold in its context. A great holiday companion. The performance is intermediate; it doesn’t disappoint, but one could expect more intensity in projection or longevity. That said: it is not weak, simply goes with the restrained and adult tone of the perfume. It doesn’t clearly resemble any other fragrance. It might be reminiscent from a distance of some niche fig fragrances or even curiously to an Axe (Iced Ginger & Musk) which is already hard to find. It shares that herbal and creamy air, but here it is carried with much more seriousness. I love the bottle and the concept. It is part of the new Light Blue 2025 universe, a total change from previous editions. This first flanker, Capri in Love, maintains the new DNA but with a darker and denser touch. It is, without doubt, up to scratch. Would I recommend it blindly? Absolutely not. It is a polarising fragrance. While the new Light Blue 2025 is always a hit when I let people smell it, Capri in Love generates division. That is what happens when you step out of the conventional. A very interesting proposal from Dolce & Gabbana that demonstrates that even in the designer world, sometimes there is space to do something different.
Fruity and spicy; I expected it to be fresher like the other Light Blue collection items, but it wasn’t. Low projection and it doesn’t last more than two hours on me.
Interesting, yes, dispensable, also. It’s not bad, it’s just another version of Light Blue in a spectacular bottle. It comes out spicy with fig from the first minute. It brings nothing new, but everyone will like it and it saves you from boring fresh scents. Ideal for spring-summer.
Interesting? Yes. Dispensable? Also… not necessarily being a bad thing. It’s another version of Light Blue in a spectacular bottle. Spicy opening, the fig is there from minute one. It doesn’t bring anything new, but everyone will like it and it gets you out of conventional fresh scents. Obviously, it’s a spring-summer fragrance.
It is literally the notes listed; I’d even say it smells like fig leaves as well as the fruit. It’s not a bad fragrance, but it’s not my style. It’s fresh but vibrates with a nineties feel. The performance is dreadful and the bottle is an insult to good taste.
It’s literally the notes on the list, I’d even say it smells like fig leaves apart from the fruit. It’s not bad, but it’s not my style. It’s fresh but vibrates with a 1990s feel. The longevity is dreadful and the bottle is an insult to good taste.
It’s brilliant, smells like freshly cut fig leaves. Not for everyone, but if you collect rare scents, this is a must-have. Forget the sweet young ones; here you truly smell different.
Exquisite; my next purchase. Rub a fig leaf and compare it; this certainly isn’t for everyone, but if you collect diverse scents, it must be in your collection. I wouldn’t recommend it to young, sweet-natured people; with this, you will definitely smell different.
I bought it blindly and, wow, what a delicious thing it is.
I’ve been wearing it for a month and have to say, the longevity and projection have taken me by surprise; it’s among the best for everyday wear.
I tried it in-store and it smells half citrus, like lemon, bergamot, and fig, with a gorgeous vase design.
This perfume is a beast; the best fig scent I’ve heard in a designer fragrance. Smells incredibly clean, masculine, and classy—nothing like those generic summer perfumes. While others fade quickly, it lasts over six hours on me without issue, even with just 10 or 12 sprays. I love it so much I’m already thinking about buying a refill bottle.
