A tasty perfume that fulfils its purpose; I don’t find it as versatile as mentioned in some comments, nor a secret weapon that makes you stand out from the rest. It’s a simple perfume that plays between citrus and sweet, where mandarin, rosemary, pepper and vanilla stand out, which can be bothersome in temperate climates. I see it more as a perfume for fresh climates or night situations, something youthful, in no way elegant and less for warm climates. If it’s for usage situations, I think there are better options; I also don’t find it a novel perfume or one that adds something new. In conclusion, a tasty, simple perfume that pleases but not everyone; I bought a 50ml bottle and I don’t think I’ll buy it again. I recommend trying before buying. Cheers!
The opening smells like chinchilla fur. After a minute it fixes itself and has a scent more similar to the conventional Eros.
I have the Eros EDP. I don’t love it, although for daily use it’s not too bad. But my great disappointment was the Eros Flame: it’s practically the same scent, literally. The only difference is that the Eros projects a bit more and focuses on the freshness of the mint, while the Flame highlights the citrus more. That said, it is much less potent. The version I bought (at Falabella, so I doubt it’s fake) lasts only minutes on the skin and then is only noticeable from very close. Could it be that the batch is too new? Anyway, if you find it at a good price, go for it: it’s not a bad perfume (I bought the 200ml on offer), but certainly not the holy grail that many describe. Due to its low intensity, I think it will work better in summer. I’ll keep trying it… maybe if I let it macerate it will transform into that ‘beast’ that so many talk about.
Buy blind, very tasty. I don’t know if it’s my poor sense of smell or the perfume, but I find it difficult to smell it on myself. Three months later, it lasts a minimum of 12 hours on my skin. Sometimes, seven hours later, people could still smell it strongly. It sticks to other people’s clothes; that’s incredible. If you put it on clothes, it lasts for weeks; even a week after storing a garment in the wardrobe, the wardrobe still released the scent. 10/10.
At first I thought that citrus opening with mandarin, lemon and pepper would make it perfect for sunny days, but it turns out it doesn’t; it performs better in cold climates or directly at night due to the certain heaviness of the scent. Anyway, it’s an exquisite perfume. As it dries down and the citrus notes decrease a bit (they don’t disappear, they remain very well), the vanilla comes out more, and in this point, it seems to me it has a slightly sweaty smell; I haven’t seen anyone comment on this, but it catches my attention. I don’t know if something changed in the scent with the bottle having 20/100ml remaining and oxidation having done its work. In any case, I’m super satisfied with the longevity and projection; you don’t have to over-spray, otherwise it’s very easy for it to be quite invasive. I don’t quite understand how this Eros Flame ends up being so similar to the original Eros. They share many notes, yes, but between the predominance of mandarin in Eros Flame and the mint with green apple in the original Eros, they make both perfumes totally different sensations and in no way redundant.
Personally, I didn’t like it. I don’t know if the opening doesn’t make a good combination of notes for me, but in general, I didn’t like this perfume. If you can smell it in a department store to confirm you like it, I love perfumes and know how to find something I like, but this one, personally, I didn’t like. My recommendation: don’t buy it blind; if you’ve already smelled it and liked it, don’t read any more reviews, just buy it. I’m not telling you to buy it or not, it all depends on whether you like the scent, the longevity and the trail.
As my first review in the community, I chose this because it’s the one I’m currently using. Halfway through the bottle, I can’t get attached to it. It has a pleasant, very citrusy opening that, once it passes, there is no more perfume (at least on my skin). Is it tasty? Yes. Would I use it to go out at night? No.
It’s a hunter’s brother PARFUM! It’s strong, with character and personality; you have to know how to use it to dominate, because otherwise, it will dominate you. It has an incredible trail and performs perfectly in clubs, parties and gatherings where you want to be the protagonist; it will give you that. It’s a double-edged sword, so you have to know how to handle it. Great power comes with great responsibility. It’s spicy due to the pepper notes, with sweetness from mandarin and orange that are noticeable, but at the same time warm from the vanilla and tonka bean. It stands out mainly for the pepper, rosemary and mandarin. It’s a detonator for married men and single mums!
I love it, I would definitely buy it again. The bottle and some online reviews caught my eye. I tried it in-store and didn’t hesitate for a second to purchase. That warm citrus-vanilla scent hooked me immediately. If you get the chance, try it on your skin before buying, although it is a delightful fragrance. PS: Although it has a slight resemblance to the regular Eros, when you try them together you realise this one takes a different path. For me, the regular Eros feels a bit ‘stuffy’.
Honest review (spoiler: it will be long). Eros Flame is very faithful to its notes; when it says tangerine, it smells of tangerine. It is citrusy, sweet, and, in my opinion, mentholated. I live in Bogotá and so far have only used it during the day; I would not recommend it if you don’t want people sneezing two metres away. It leaves a huge trail, so be careful in crowded areas. It is a love-it-or-hate-it situation: some like it, others sneeze. It reminds me a bit of Avon’s Musk Instinct; instead of being sweet or red for dates, it feels more green or herbal. The opening is tangerine, perhaps grapefruit and melon. Then it moves into an oak forest, mint, and eucalyptus. Finally, it becomes intimate with a clean amber and talc note, ideal for gentlemen at semi-formal events or night dates, but not in enclosed spaces. It hasn’t been a magnet for compliments, but it is a rich scent that can be overwhelming. I haven’t used it at night yet, but I will update. I confirm that when it dries down, it is exquisite: mentholated, masculine, and sweet, perfect for special occasions. If you have a date at 6 or 7, apply it to your clothes hours beforehand to control the trail. I will return in a few days to tell you what the lucky lady says.
A solid, well-made fragrance. It is masculine but doesn’t smell basic or typical, despite its accessible price. It feels like an expensive orange liqueur that leaves a trail of smoky, spiced vanilla; very pleasant and not cloying. Perfect for casual occasions or a date to make a good impression. On my skin, it lasts about 2 to 3 hours with good projection, followed by another 5 hours with moderate projection, just enough so as not to annoy anyone.
Caught me from the very first spray. The citrus opening is one of the most realistic I’ve tried, then it settles into an exquisite woody vanilla. It’s easy to wear and very pleasant. Recommended if you like citrus with a touch of wood. I didn’t find it overly sweet, which makes it super versatile: suitable for both fresh summer evenings and winter. The longevity is more than acceptable.
I already own my second 200ml bottle, and it genuinely surprised me how versatile it is. It opens with citrus, specifically tangerine, yet possesses a warm base that captivates you immediately, giving it real character. It sounds youthful, but that spicy note makes it perfect for anyone over 24. It’s a gem and has now become my signature scent.
A citrus scent with character, period. The tangerine opening is addictive and grabs you from the first spray. The best part is how that freshness slowly descends into a woody, sexy base that is noticeable almost immediately without being overpowering. I see it as masculine, animated, and jovial, as if you’ve just woken up and are ready for anything. It provides instant energy. The longevity is good, and the projection shines for the first two hours. Ideal for those who want freshness but with some muscle.
It smells of orange, lemon, vanilla, and woods; all very pleasant… but be warned, there is an excess of pepper that doesn’t quite convince me. That pepper dominates everything else. By the time you apply it, it literally just smells of pepper. My advice: try it, wait an hour, and then decide whether to buy it.
My boyfriend wears it and honestly, it’s one of the best men’s perfumes. The truth is, it’s so long-lasting that after we meet, it remains impregnated on my clothes for hours. I’d say it’s one of the hottest scents I’ve ever heard of.
This fragrance is unusual. At first, I didn’t like it at all; it felt too strong and sweet. But here’s the interesting part: after a month of first use, although it remained strong and sweet, it became more pleasant. After wearing it for a while, I loved it immensely; the quality of the notes is top-notch, you feel like you’re wearing a designer scent. What I detect most is a sweet mandarin opening, followed by rose and vanilla after an hour. After several hours, a delicious musky vanilla remains with a spectacular woody touch; longevity in my case is 6 hours, performing very well. In temperate to cold climates, I recommend a maximum of seven sprays. It can be worn in heat because it’s citrusy at the start, but as it develops it tends to become strong, so on hot days a maximum of four sprays to avoid being overwhelming (I disagree with those who say it disappears in 10 minutes; be careful with the number of sprays). Occasions: romantic date, dinner or parties, but even for everyday wear with fewer sprays. It’s not for blind buying; it’s rich and sexy, but could be overwhelming because it’s not a common or subtle scent that draws much attention. I highlight that it’s hard for people not to like it, but don’t overdo the sprays as it’s strong and I definitely don’t recommend it above 30°C on hot days. Overall, it’s very complimentary and you’ll surely receive compliments. Women love it. Recommended age +25 years, as it’s a bit more playful and not so simple in its composition. 9/10 for note quality, compliments and versatility. I would buy it again when I run out of what I have, and it lasts a long time with few sprays. I recommend it 100%, but I wish you tried it first to see if this DNA aligns with you.
Spectacular throughout the life of the perfume; we’re talking about around 10 hours of longevity, and on clothes it lasted months or until I washed it, yet it was still detectable. The scent clings to your nose and to other people. Extremely versatile all year round except extreme heat, too complimentary. 10/10.
It projects strongly with citrus and pepper notes, to the point of being scary if you over-spray, but magically after 10 minutes you barely notice it. Heavy sillage at first, then nothing… a rip-off, and I don’t think it’s fake because I bought it from Perfume’s Club. For things like this, Arabic perfumes are eating the toast of designer brands. In any case, Versace knows it doesn’t have a well-rounded product with these Eros scents and have been selling them at half the price of competing perfumes for some time.
A truly delicious aroma. It’s possible to wear it in any climate except when it’s too hot, as the vanilla and tonka bean give the fragrance weight; that’s why it shines on winter nights. It was the first designer perfume I owned and I have no regrets, a 10/10.
Of all my 35+ perfumes, this one always wins and becomes my favourite. I think that’s enough of a review in itself, haha. It’s super versatile; I’ve worn it to the gym and to parties. Longevity and sillage are good to average. I have a 200ml bottle that cost me $128, and I think it will be my first repurchase. It smells like creamy, sensual orange; highly recommended and all women love it.
This is my favourite fragrance out of the 100+ I once owned. Versatile, different, masculine, long-lasting, and most importantly: memorable. The opening can seem rough at first, but after 20 seconds, the mandarin/orange joins the rosemary and pepper, creating an olfactive sensation no other perfume can match. Soon after, the woody vanilla emerges to consolidate this great aroma. From my perspective, it’s a total blind buy if you like critical scents, although I’ve seen the rough pepper opening ruin the experience for many, so I’d recommend trying it first. Suitable for all weather and occasions.
My supplier received this perfume in 200ml for the sum of (inhalo) $52. I can hardly criticise it; for $52, I got this gem of perfumery. Longevity: 9.8/10. The Eros line performs very well on my skin; even the Energy lasts beautifully. Projection: 9.3/10; it projects wonderfully from my arms and neck. Excellent in that regard. Scent: 9.5/10. It’s an Eros EDP with pepper and quino. It reminds me of the gentle heat of shiso, my favourite ingredient in perfumery. Final note: 9.53. Absolute sexiness. I’ll never buy another Carolina Herrera again. Thank God for making me Argentine.
It’s a very rich scent. The mandarin is prominent, slightly spiced, but overall it’s too dense for its qualities to shine through. The floral aspect gets buried by the sweetness, and the woody notes are completely lost. So, it’s not suitable for hot weather, and in winter, it fades quickly due to poor longevity and projection. A contradictory fragrance—neither fresh nor warm. In short, it’s an intimate, skin-scent only. I enjoy it best at home. I love the aroma, but it’s completely impractical for outdoors. It could have been one of the best fragrances of recent years if only they had refined those details.
I’m on my third bottle; it’s the fragrance that has earned me the most compliments, at least on my skin. It develops much better in cold climates. The olfactive pyramid is quite distinct, and on me, it lasts an average of 10 hours on clothes during the day… over time, I learned to layer it with YSL Libre Intense. They share the same opening and base, and they boost each other in the heart with the floral notes. On me, it comes across as a sophisticated masculine fragrance.
I took a month to write about it. For me, it’s the best flanker of Eros. It cost me 70 euros for 100 ml (expensive, really), but it’s one of my favourites. On clothes, the longevity is all day; projection is strong for the first hour or so, and the trail in enclosed spaces is brilliant (8/10). The scent… quite a madness, especially I smell tangerine, pepper, spices, and then that vanilla touch of Eros. Overall, it could be described as meaty and sensual. P.S.: it has macerated, god… 10 hours after showering and it still smells on the skin, what a beast.
An exquisite fragrance; it always earns compliments. I wish the longevity was better, as it fades to a skin scent after a few hours. If you like citrus, this is your perfume; it has a strong personality and is wrapped in a sweet base. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 7/10, Projection: 7/10.
One of the first fragrances I bought when starting my collection. Eros Flame is a proper stunner; I love its opening with that great citrus presence and the pepper note. As it dries down, it feels citrusy and sweet from the vanilla and tonka bean. Despite all the talk, I don’t feel the woody notes are being overshadowed; I expected more from them, but it’s not bad. I wouldn’t wear it in hot climates or enclosed spaces like a classroom, but it’s perfect for a night out, meeting, or party. As a daily wear, I see it as fine, though very dependent on the weather. In my case, the performance is very good, around 7-8 hours, which is more than enough. It leaves a slightly subtle trail if you don’t apply it well (around 7-8 sprays would be ideal). If you’re looking to stand out and receive compliments, it’s a great option; if you’re seeking something fresher and more versatile, I’d recommend Eros EDP. Sincerely, it’s a spectacular fragrance that I’ll be buying again in the future.
I wasn’t a huge fan of its opening, but once it settles on the skin, it’s one of the richest scents I’ve tried recently. I love it.
Perfect and the best of the Eros line. Opens citrusy and dries vanilla. Beautiful evolution, lasts and projects. Absolutely delicious!
Mixed feelings. I’m not much of a fan of citrus but decided to try it. Is it great? No. Is it bad? Not at all. Is it the best in the Eros line? Not by a long shot. For me it’s a bit overrated. The opening of Flame is terrifying: sharp lemon and pepper that anaesthetises your sense of smell. The lemon is so strong it smells of detergent and no other notes are appreciated. It’s just lemon and pepper with a distant touch of tonka bean. Short and sillage-poor. The positive: longevity and trail are quite good. If you like citrus, welcome to the club; if not, totally forgettable as in my case.
I bought the 200 ml version from Perfume’s Club España, so I don’t believe it’s counterfeit, yet the longevity is non-existent. The opening is potent, which should have tempered the projection, but it doesn’t matter; you could spray the entire bottle and it burns out in an hour (perhaps that’s why it’s called ‘Flame’). It lasts quite a bit on clothes, though with minimal projection. I like the trail, but only if you love loud, sweet, and citrusy scents like Scandal. I enjoy both; this Versace Flame is less sweet and more sophisticated than Scandal thanks to that pepper opening. Scandal isn’t a beast in terms of longevity either, but this Flame loses to it by a mile. Armaf Odyssey Mandarin Sky beats both on performance. I’m increasingly less inclined to buy designer fragrances. Also, the last time I bought a 200 ml format, I read many complaints about how they fill those millilitres—could they be using water?
Suitable for day and night, perhaps expensive for daily use but valid for special occasions. Without trying to draw attention, anyone who notices will praise it. It has a rich, addictive citrus and spiced scent. Worth having and I guarantee you’ll regret when the bottle is empty.
Very good.
My best friend always wears this and I’ve tried it many times. People speak wonders of this designer, but don’t misunderstand, it’s not ugly… just overrated. It’s a caramelised mandarin, like a hard candy, without that magic many claim. If you’re looking for something similar, SWY Absolutely is definitely a better option.
Addictive opening; it’s practically my best citrus. I bought the 200ml because I fell in love with the opening, but I don’t like the performance at all: with 15 sprays it lasts a maximum of two hours and the projection is only for the first hour; then it disappears. Compared to Al Haramain Aqua Dubai, this is short and cheap, whereas the other lasts longer and costs less. If it lasted longer it would be 10/10; it’s the most versatile there is for day, night and all seasons.
I’ve worn this for years and stopped for a while as it feels suffocating indoors, but it smells rich and masculine; just watch the sprays and timing. Lasts five hours projecting on me, though others say it doesn’t on skin. It has a serious, spiced character, nothing fun, but I love how it evolves from the opening to drying on the skin.
I love it: the citrus opening is addictive and long-lasting. The downside is the dry-down, which smells of vanilla and something I can’t identify. They paint it as suffocating and super-vanilla, but nah, it’s fine during the day if you don’t bathe in it. Apart from the dry-down, for me it’s 10/10.
To me, it’s the best Eros: top projection and longevity. It’s versatile for day or night, but in extreme heat the vanilla can become overwhelming, so best to avoid that.
At first it’s citrusy and versatile (avoid it in summer), then it turns sweet without being as much vanilla as people say; I detect more of a sweet mandarin like jam mixed with creamy sandalwood and a touch of pepper that doesn’t stand out on my skin until the vanilla finally appears at the end. The dry-down is delicious, seductive and sexy, surely attracting whoever is around.
