Nice scent, but lacks personality. I like it, though not enough to love it. What doesn’t work for me is that underlying smell of men’s shaving cream, so it wouldn’t be my choice.

I hate its opening. That’s why perfume tastes are so personal. Unlike several reviews I read, I find it invasive, annoying, and simply unpleasant. I can’t identify any notes, just feel something I dislike, a strong scent reminiscent of cough syrup. After about two hours, I start to notice a rich floral note that lingers, but honestly, it’s not worth putting up with the first two hours. In my case, it’s not worth it. Adding everything up, I rate it as indifferent.

Sweet without being cloying; on my skin, the pear and jasmine really shine. I prefer florals over sweets, but this has a very tolerable praline touch. It’s a comforting and elegant scent; every time I wear it, I receive many compliments.
marianaaimeeev
Sweet and slightly fruity, with incredible longevity; I can still detect it on my skin after 24 hours. Overall, it’s a great classic, but for me, that’s the issue: I feel I’ve heard of it too much and it smells a bit dated. Nevertheless, it’s a wonderful perfume, works very well during the day, and is more formal.

It’s a pleasant and rich perfume, but given its price, I don’t think I’d buy it again because nowadays there are so many options with a much better price-quality ratio.
RPONCE12
From the very first second, a sweetness that isn’t overpowering, with impressive vibe and projection. A super versatile and, above all, rich aroma. Longevity of over 10 hours on the skin and it can last weeks on clothes without exaggerating. A spectacular feminine perfume.

It’s a present and lovely perfume, but there’s something about it that I don’t quite like. Without a doubt, it’s a winter perfume.

I suffered through it years ago. And I say ‘suffered’ because it simply doesn’t suit me at all. A colleague used to wear it, and since I had to commute with her all morning, it was olfactorily exhausting. To the point where I felt my throat irritated, like when you eat a milk chocolate bonbon that has more sugar than chocolate. I always compare it to the smell of a takeaway coffee with milk where the foam gets stuck to the cup as you sip, then dries out while you chat. Occasionally, that dry coffee-with-milk scent hits you, and you brush it aside because it’s annoying. That smell of burnt coffee, with all its roast melted almost into tar. Wherever I detect it, I detest it.

What I like most is that it doesn’t give me a headache, despite being potent, and it lasts a long time. I recall a taxi driver asking me which one it was so he could buy it for his wife. It hasn’t completely won me over, but it has a trail and good longevity; the issue is that it became very popular due to its price.

I met La Vie Est Belle thanks to a Lancôme sample pack, and although I was curious to try it due to its huge popularity, it simply didn’t work for me. From the first application, I find it too sweet, almost cloying, with a gourmand accord that becomes heavy and dominant. The praline and vanilla take centre stage, leaving very little room for any freshness or floral nuance that could balance it. On my skin, it feels linear and dense, more ‘sugary’ than elegant, and its intensity feels invasive, especially in warm climates. I understand why it’s a favourite for many, but for my personal taste, it’s excessive, loaded, and tiring, far from the fresher, lighter fragrances I prefer. If you’re looking for something subtle or balanced, La Vie Est Belle is probably not ideal. In my case, it simply didn’t connect with me.

Classic, elegant and delicate. Definitely a perfumon; it doesn’t deserve a bad comment.

This perfume was love at first sniff. I never tried it at first, but when I did, I liked it a lot. At first, I was attracted to its presentation; every pink perfume catches my attention. I felt it was sweet and fruity; I didn’t notice much patchouli (nor did I know it contained it). It’s a pity it has been so imitated and is no longer unique, but something very popular.

To me, it’s a perfumon, very mass-market and for that reason it is, because it has earned it. Whether you hate it or not, you know it. It was a gift; perhaps I wouldn’t have noticed it if it hadn’t been. But when I smelled it, I felt something sweet and elegant without being cloying. It’s very me; I like perfumes with presence, elegant and not cloying.
Chisla
Definitely it’s the perfume that gets me the most compliments, although many also find it fascinating. Super versatile.

Sorry, it’s elegant and you can wear it every day. Unfailingly so.

It’s the classic must-have, very traditional but definitely never fails. I use it as a day-to-day fragrance all year round because it’s truly lovely.

It’s a classic scent, but at this price, you could buy others from the same brand such as Vie Est Belle Soleri Cristal, Intensiment, or Olimpea by Paco Rabanne. To be honest, I gifted three Lancôme perfumes to my mother and one to my sister, and the truth is that this one, Vie Est Belle, has the weakest scent. The best option would be La Nuit Tresor Intensim by Lancôme. It has good longevity and scent, but its aroma doesn’t quite match up to the newer versions.
Valentinapd99
I love it; it’s my signature fragrance. I’m a fan of sweet and vanilla perfumes, and this is a classic. It smells incredibly elegant. I absolutely adore it.
verdepensativo
The fragrance that changed the rules of the perfume game, opening the door to the gourmand revolution. A well-made classic with great sillage and longevity, tender yet elegant. A landmark for daring to use edible ingredients and delivering a brilliant result. A masterpiece copied by millions but never truly matched.

Many will eventually get tired of the scent, or they simply won’t like it, or I don’t know what. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, and we respect that. But I love it. I tried it once and liked it, though it’s not quite for my age, even though I’m fascinated by it. That praline combined with vanilla, pear, and blackcurrant is divine. I’ve tried catalogue-inspired versions and they smell the same, but my number one will always remain the Lancôme one. It lasts a long time. Don’t wear it in too much heat.

I’m already getting tired of smelling it so much.
hueloamantecada
Oh dear! It came as a gift in my advent calendar, and honestly, I was scared due to the bad reviews. Today I finally tried it: the opening was a sweet hit, but after four hours, it smells like clean soap with a sweet touch between flowers and wood. I think my pH is lucky to soften it, and now I’m loving it.
Mayitaperfums
A rich and soft fragrance, even for everyday wear. Very subtle, ideal for a romantic date without being too overpowering.
Epal
It was a gift; I wouldn’t have chosen it myself. At first, it seemed very boring and annoying, but by continuing to wear it, I’ve managed to appreciate it and feel comfortable; now it smells less sweet on my skin. Anyway, I won’t repurchase when it runs out.

I believe this perfume has earned a place on the mantelpiece in every home with at least one woman. It’s spectacular, super sweet; the first few minutes have a potent fruity opening that then dissipates, leaving a caramelised scent from praline and vanilla. I don’t notice the florals. I love it; it’s gourmand and of excellent quality: few sprays and it leaves a mark. Ideal for a winter party night or a special outing. One thing is not liking gourmands, and another is being tired of smelling it all the time. Unfortunately, it’s overused, plus many people wear it in summer or daily, as happens with others like Good Girl. It has too many inspirations and imitations: I love it but at the same time it gets boring smelling it constantly and stops being special. On one hand, it’s wonderful, but I wouldn’t recommend it to someone looking for something distinguished.
Lavidahuelebonito
Smells too strong.

I hesitated to review this best-seller, but an intensive LVEB session at work nearly sent me into dyspnoea, so I needed to detox. To clarify, I’m not a gourmand fan and I respect those who enjoy it. LVEB was a phenomenon with an impactful campaign that made it an instant hit for middle-aged women. Lancôme created a new classic, but in my view, it’s not a good perfume. Popularity doesn’t equate to quality. It’s like a Frankenstein’s monster with visible stitches: unharmonious, with an exacerbated sweetness that overwhelms everything. No nuances, just a fruit whirlwind where flowers are buried in poorly tuned powdery vanilla. Is it striking? Yes, it’s eye-catching, excessive in projection and longevity. Reformulated without improvement, it remains a success, perhaps eclipsed by its flankers. For me, it’s a dessert with excellent ingredients but poorly combined: attractive at first, but then overwhelming and fatiguing. A disjointed juice, yet victorious and loved/hated like no other in the last decade.
ErickPowah
It reminds me of Dior Homme Intense, with that powdery iris. I like it. I feel the iris suits women better.
Bea Luz
A beautiful classic perfume, with a trail and great longevity. People will ask you what you’re wearing if they don’t know it. It smells very of patchouli and blackcurrant; I perceive it as very powdery and elegant, like expensive makeup, like expensive talc. Be careful in summer, it’s very strong and can be annoying. The only reason I wear it little is because I smell it frequently on the street, but I think I’ll always love this scent.
