How we build this list
A perfume appears here as soon as we add it to the catalogue with its release year. “The latest from the big brands” gathers the newest releases from the best-known houses: designer, niche and Middle Eastern. “Most popular” ranks the year’s releases by number of ratings. The full list runs newest first.
Every perfume page brings together the notes pyramid, the accords, the ratings, and a section where the community votes on well-known perfumes it resembles.
What kind of release it is
- New fragrance. A creation with no earlier version.
- Flanker. A variation on an existing perfume: the same base name plus an add-on such as Intense, Elixir, Absolu or Sport.
- New concentration. The same perfume at a different strength, for example going from eau de toilette to eau de parfum or extrait.
- Limited edition. A seasonal or collector run, often in a different bottle, that tends to sell out faster.
- Exclusive collection. A line the brand sells only in its own boutiques or on its website.
Concentrations: how long each one lasts
| Type | Approximate concentration | Typical wear time |
|---|---|---|
| Eau de Cologne | 2–5% | 1–2 hours |
| Eau de Toilette | 5–15% | 3–5 hours |
| Eau de Parfum | 15–20% | 5–8 hours |
| Parfum or Extrait | 20–40% | 8 hours or more |
These are typical ranges: every brand sets its own formula, and skin chemistry changes the result.
How to choose among so many launches
- Open a new release and check which well-known perfumes the community compares it to.
- Have a favourite note? Open its page from the Notes section to see every perfume that contains it, including this year’s releases.
- Want suggestions? Use Find your perfume to get options based on the perfumes you already like.
- Try a perfume on your skin before you buy it. On a paper strip you only get the opening; the base notes take a few hours to develop.
- In the journal we cover the standout launches in more depth.
