Descripción

Chanel Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2014, the nose behind this composition is Jacques Polge. The top notes reveal grapefruit, lemon, mint, bergamot, pink pepper, aldehydes and coriander; the heart unfolds with ginger, nutmeg, jasmine and melon; while the base notes close the olfactory pyramid with incense, amber, cedar, sandalwood, Amberwood, patchouli and labdanum.

  • What can one say about this classic… The truth is that it is an exquisite and versatile fragrance. A strong citrus opening, before settling into incense and woods. As a scent, 10/10: super sexy and masculine. Seasons summer/spring (though it can be worn all year), both day and night, for the office or a date. Compliments 10/10. Longevity on skin approximately 5 hours (batch 2022). Weak projection: first half hour at arm’s length, then a personal bubble. From the fourth hour, just a skin scent. Highly recommended, pity the high price, but if you can get a bottle at a good price, do not hesitate. Buy blind.

Superb cologne for men, clean and masculine. It can be worn for any occasion of the day as it does not smell too unpleasant or intrusive.

Hello, I hope you are well. I bought the 150ml bottle over a year ago and just realised I hadn’t left a review. It is a perfume I like; I picked it up due to the hype, and while the Parfum version is one of my favourites, this particular one didn’t leave me quite so spellbound. It is good, with the typical Chanel quality, but on my skin the opening feels a little acidic. I understand it comes from citrus, particularly grapefruit, but on me it feels dry and bitter, mixed with a typical shower gel aquatic base. Over time, that acidity mellows out, leaving a scent of quality shower gel with smoky incense notes. In the dry down, the aquatic notes recede and some clean, pleasant woods take centre stage. It is versatile, but due to its modest sillage and longevity, I think it suits warmer climates, daytime wear, and informal or semi-formal occasions better. The Parfum version, however, is appropriate all year round and, thanks to its depth, is more impactful. Best wishes from Argentina.

The quintessential office and date perfume. From the very first moment I heard it, I fell in love. It is a pity that its longevity and projection are low, which is why I am thinking of buying the Parfum version to see how it compares. The bottle I have now, a 150ml one bought a year ago, is almost empty. I have used it on numerous occasions and it has generated several compliments.

  • It is not a pretentious perfume, and that, along with its scent, are its greatest virtues. Amidst so many sweet colognes and ‘beast mode’ fragrances, it seems we have forgotten that sometimes what matters is wearing a pleasant scent that doesn’t numb or cause burning in your loved ones’ nostrils. It is a mature aroma; I would not recommend it much for young lads, but one shouldn’t be obsessed with age: I wore it from 24. It is the ultimate all-rounder cologne: dates (without overwhelming the person next to you), office, weddings… For any season and time of day, it will never clash. There is life beyond the vanilla note, and often it is enough to smell good up close, even if later your colleague in JPG Le Male Elixir drowns everyone out.

  • KrizCrocs

To be honest, I was disappointed. It smells very similar to much cheaper fragrances, so it doesn’t justify the price. The scent isn’t bad; it’s lightly woody citrus notes that later turn amber, and nobody would dislike it, but for that reason I give it 7.6/10.

  • toranagasama

I love the perfume; it smells divine and is very versatile, suitable for all ages. It makes me want to wear it all the time. The only drawback is that it projects very little; it’s extremely subtle. I have the EDP version, which lasts quite a while, but the trail is minimal. I’m not sure if I’d recommend it, but the aroma doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. Perhaps it projects more for others.

  • Avalon1224

An excellent fragrance, fresh and elegant. The only thing it lacks is longevity; on my skin it lasts barely one or two hours, which is a shame for something so good.

  • Olfato Profundo

The truth is, I absolutely love this fragrance and it’s one of my favourites; however, the longevity leaves much to be desired. I recommend it for its quality of ingredients and its great versatile scent, but if you’re looking for a perfume with incredible longevity, this won’t be your perfume.

  • Some perfumes shout, but Bleu de Chanel whispers with elegance. It doesn’t smell of sea or forest, but rather that elusive balance of vetiver, incense and grapefruit that doesn’t compete but reigns supreme. It’s the scent of a successful lawyer or an architect who has no need to flaunt their Instagram. No nonsense or cloying sweetness, just an attitude that makes you seem more interesting than you are. A masterpiece that, if it suits you, leaves a mark effortlessly.

I’ve just acquired Azul Brutal Sweet Woody. Poor projection and longevity, but if it’s in your budget, it’s a beauty of a scent. Similar but not identical dupes are out there. Here you get class and a fragrance brand ahead of the rest.

  • Kylow Ren

Rich smell, with that initial minty touch and a wonderful transition and evolution. What a pity about the performance, with a very weak sillage and short longevity. If it had acceptable performance, it would probably be my signature fragrance, but at least my batch smells wonderful, although it’s like forming with transparent ink.

  • Diego Parfum de Marly

If I had to choose just one fragrance for life, this and Acqua di Giò Parfum would be my two options. They are incredibly rich and super versatile for any occasion: winter, summer, day, night, wedding, baptism or just going to buy bread.

  • Luisfher 82

I had it a few years ago; it was love at first sniff. I wore it to work and the office would be filled with that scent; it was my signature fragrance, for parties and even my wedding day. I don’t know why people say it doesn’t last or project well; I could smell it for over 9 hours, on clothes for days. I suppose they reformulated it or it’s a matter of the batch. I finished two bottles, now I use other options and give Arabic perfumes a chance, but for me, Bleu de Chanel EDP always has a place in my heart. The quality is unsurpassable, even though there are dupes trying to replicate it. It’s a fragrance you must try once in a lifetime and keep in your collection. A timeless classic 10/10.

  • ElChapoGourmand

For me, Bleu de Chanel EDP is rounded, almost perfect. Not just because of its fame or reviews, but because it’s versatile, clean, attractive and pleasant in any setting. On my skin, lime, mint, melon, sandalwood and incense stand out, giving it that balance between freshness and depth. It’s a wildcard that never fails, ideal when you’re undecided. It has incredible projection and longevity, lasting literally days. It’s a compliment bomb. Among the ‘big three’ blues (Sauvage EDP, YSL EDP and this one), this is my number one. I wore it today at 35 degrees and it wasn’t cloying or intrusive. Two sprays are enough to leave a mark without being overwhelming, and when it dries, it has a notable creamy touch from the sandalwood. It has everything: class, freshness, presence and an attractive masculine touch that never goes unnoticed.

  • RoswellSS

Grapefruit, lemon and mint are clearly noticeable notes. The grapefruit gives life to the opening, but afterwards it becomes a bit powdery; perhaps that’s what some perceive as an old-man smell. I think it’s clean, neat and perfect for any occasion. Yes, it’s delicious and incredible, but the longevity and projection are poor. Even with over 25 sprays, after two hours it stays purely personal. If it lasted longer and projected better, it would be something else. It has given me between 4 and 7 hours, which is strange. Only during the first hour do people notice it if they hug you; afterwards, it’s a lovely skin scent. Still, I love it madly; what a pity the performance is so bad.

  • ManucoSeven

To my nose, it’s not the most potent, but the opening is rich and fresh, packed with grapefruit. It then darkens without losing that freshness, confirming it’s a classic blue fragrance. I’m glad it’s not sweet, although sometimes I feel it’s a bit boring yet very wearable.

  • I’d say it’s spectacular, but… it’s a rich, woody citrus scent with a dense, smoky feel, but nothing matters if it doesn’t last and project well. I wore it today and no one around me noticed it, despite several sprays. That’s why I wouldn’t justify its price; paying almost $160 for such poor performance isn’t worth it. If I run out, I’d opt for YSL Y EDP or Dylan Blue. Scent: 10/10, Sillage: 5/10, Longevity: 6.5/10. P.S.: I applied it at 6:50 am and still feel it on my arms at 5:00 pm, though very subtly.

  • Kerry copito

A masterpiece, the best in the Bleu line, and it projects brilliantly on my skin. By the way, the Iconic from Club de Nuit does an incredible job as a dupe.

  • RomainÉtoile

Starts fresh and light, evolving into something warm and sweet. A perfect balance between casual and elegant. Good longevity without being overwhelming; ideal for daily wear and events.

  • Jhostin2025

I had high expectations; it smells nice but lasts and projects nothing. After a minimum of two hours, you have to reapply. For the price, it leaves much to be desired.

  • jorgeluiscabani

Rich, fine, and clean aroma. Citrusy and semi-sweet, perfect for formal meetings. It’s not annoying, although projection and longevity are low; you need to reapply every few hours.

  • Billy Ramita

The most sensual of the three Bleu scents. More refined and mature than the original, perfect for dates. It lacks potency in polluted environments. Subtle citrus and a pleasant woody/smoky base. Performance below its price and concentration; the original lasts longer and outshines the Parfum.

  • Emanuelle88

I thought I’d like it more, and it didn’t meet my expectations. A bit pricey for what it is. It didn’t captivate me at all.

  • A pleasant surprise! An absolutely delicious aroma; the opening is a bomb (I use 10-8ml of refill). It lasts about 6-7 hours. The first hours are a bomb, then it becomes a personal bubble. I lack experience, but it smells sexy, not clean. Versatile for men aged 24+ for daily wear and informal occasions. Not suitable for cold winters. The clone, Club de Nuit Blue Iconic, smells worse, although it lasts longer.

  • I tried it in-store and was disappointed. It smells nice, but the projection is non-existent; after two hours, it’s barely noticeable. You’re paying for the brand, not the perfume. In this line, Dior Sauvage is much better.

  • A good blue fragrance if you ignore longevity and sillage (on my skin it lasts 6 hours and is quite soft); otherwise, it would be the king of blues.

  • Probably the best blue perfume on the market. It’s quite rich and addictive. It doesn’t justify its price, however.

  • I loved this BC EDP. In Mexico, if you want to buy it original, I’ve only found it at Liverpool and Palacio de Hierro. The good thing about those shops is that you can smell it. I liked it a lot because I think it’s the most versatile of the BCs; versions P and L Exclusif feel more suited for night or cold, but I can use this at any time. The scent is citrusy yet serious, catching the attention of those nearby. It doesn’t last more than 7 hours.

  • Gerardo García Zarate

Batch 2019: This perfume demands you dress well. The grapefruit scent is exquisite; I haven’t smelled another that comes close to that quality. Perhaps it’s not the most novel and won’t appeal to everyone, but the opening is elegant due to the incense, fresh thanks to the grapefruit, and when it dries down it becomes woody, where it shines the most. If you just sniff it passing by or upon spraying, it will seem very simple, but the magic happens when it dries down. It’s a delicious scent even in 2025. Occasions: Dates and special events, but not outdoors because it projects very little and doesn’t last long. Seasons: For all, but especially spring and summer. Ages: My first bottle was a gift from my mum when I was 14, so I see it as very versatile for all ages. Longevity: It’s among the worst; it lasts less and less each time, in my case about 4 hours. Projection: 1 hour with a very weak trail. Price: $192. Recommendation: Really not worth it for the price; I keep buying it for emotional value, but coldly speaking it’s not worth it and there are better options. There is no rival in quality, but in price, longevity and projection there certainly are better choices.

  • I don’t like how it smells straight from the bottle; the opening is ‘meh’, but once it dries down it improves totally with that sweet touch that makes it pleasant. It’s not as ‘office-appropriate’ as people say, nor is it for suits due to that slight marine note; it’s more casual for daytime without extreme heat. It can come across as generic because it’s a very replicated DNA, so nowadays it might not cause much of an impression and could smell common to others. That’s why I wouldn’t wear it on dates or parties to stand out. The brand stands out more than the aroma when it’s super copied. Still, what I enjoy most is the dry down with the amber and patchouli. PLUS: Before buying it, I tested Club de Nuit Blue Iconic and it doesn’t resemble this version of Bleu de Chanel at all.

  • Definitely my favourite version of Bleu de Chanel, and it has to be the EDP. It’s exquisite, elegant and super versatile; it works at any time or in any weather. The blend in this 2014 version is impeccable. I tested it extensively in shops and airports until I managed to get a 2ml decant for $15. On my skin, I can now confirm it is worth it. If there’s a catch, it’s the longevity: I’d like it to last more than 10 hours, but nothing is perfect. Ideally, carry a 10ml decant and reapply every 2 hours. Nevertheless, the quality and versatility make up for it. My final rating: 8.3/10.

  • I bought it and the reality is it’s very good, but the longevity is poor; at best it lasted me 2 hours. That’s why I’m giving it 5/10 and the conclusion is: I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • Ivan177635

It’s an absolute cracker, my favourite even above Parfums. It has everything: elegance, versatility, and a complexity that many find hard to accept. Yes, it’s pricier than direct competitors, but it’s worth every penny.
