Descripción

Allure Homme Sport by Chanel is a woody-spicy fragrance for men. Launched in 2004, this composition was created by perfumer Jacques Polge. The top notes unfold with orange, marine notes, aldehydes, and red mandarin; the heart reveals pepper, neroli, and cedar; while the base notes complete the structure with vanilla, tonka bean, white musk, amber, vetiver, and elemi resin.

  • It doesn’t smell bad, but I feel its opening smells like floor cleaner; as it evolves the scent changes and that comparison disappears. In short, it’s a daily perfume.

  • It’s been my signature fragrance for 8 years. Well, rather its equivalent Saphir SP Man, for £13 I get 200ml of pure aromatic pleasure for the whole year! And it has longevity! Are you going to work moving weight? Ideal. To the office? Ideal. To go out? Ideal. To the gym? Ideal. It smells clean, but not a cleaner-clean; it smells like clean citrus fruit with a slight aldehyde that evolves into something softly sweet and woody. I live in Spain, in a region with very hot and long summers. Here it’s cold for little and many heavy fragrances find hardly any occasions to use them. This is ideal for everyday in all kinds of situations. You can’t imagine the people who have told me how good I smell or that the trail they love. Even more, that a woman says several days later that her sheets still smell of you and she loves it… What more can you ask for £13? Okay, I use the equivalent but this perfume is perfect. If you want something more “formal”, its older brother Extreme is ideal.

  • Today I returned to an old love… I saw it in a photo and called it, repeatedly… I waited desperately and finally it came into my arms, fresh, cheerful, sensual, carnal, like the first time. I undressed it and bathed with it; I loved it over and over again until feeling those wet but sunny aldehydes and that citrusy, salty skin like the sea, sometimes creamy and sweet and sometimes rough with pepper… Its enveloping scent brought me back to memories of its subtly vanilla and elemi-ambraced hugs and we will sleep in cosy resinous wooden beds and every day will be a new lazy and unique dawn with you by my side. I love you, Allure Sport.

  • Castle, watch out. You said it didn’t last long and you left it in the car. It must have regulated temperature and be out of direct light. Unless you live in Sweden, fragrances go bad in the car. If you carry it, put it inside a rucksack.

Fresh, citrusy aroma with a soft sweet touch. The truth is, I imagined something more spectacular because it’s Chanel, but it smells simple and people love it. I’m not regretting buying it, although I prefer other much cheaper ones like Perry Ellis 360 RED.

  • Totally addictive fragrance. Simple but 100% effective at catching my attention and providing enjoyment. It’s not an over-complicated composition: the citrus is very noticeable, quite acidic, like lemon rather than orange or tangerine, and a slightly sweet base from tonka bean and vanilla. It has nuances like aldehydes that give it weight and assemble everything masterfully. There’s also that marine note, not the protagonist but present. It’s not the most natural thing in the world, but the notes and composition are of high quality. The resemblance to Versace Pour Homme is evident, but here I don’t notice as much neroli as in VPH. I like this one more, which besides came out earlier. I consider it deserves more recognition, just like the whole Allure line.

It’s impressive; it’s my favourite daily perfume. At first, I notice Allure’s delightful citrus; as it dries down, a very subtle vanilla appears, making it slightly sweet at the end (nothing cloying), quite the opposite, it’s refreshing and sexy. It lasts 4-6 hours on my skin, which leaves a little to be desired for the price, but it’s totally worth buying again. It makes you feel fresh and women love it.

  • Mauro.A.81

I love it; I can clearly detect the citrus, woods, vanilla and amber that sweeten without being cloying; it’s fresh, creamy and clean. It’s a great perfume and very versatile; I’ve worn it in the office, at night and on daytime walks; it’s the one that has generated the most compliments, curiously the second is VPH. The longevity isn’t bad; it lasts about seven hours for me.

  • It’s a super versatile fragrance, ideal for almost any occasion; if you use it, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a clean, classy scent. It starts citrusy, then becomes creamy and woody, finishing with a vanilla touch that isn’t cloying or nose-tiring. It lasts 6-7 hours on skin and up to a day on clothes, which is decent. It’s similar to Versace Pour Homme only at the beginning, but VPH is fresher, whereas Allure Homme Sport is denser and has more body. I agree that nowadays people talk little about AHS compared to its younger sister Eau Extrême, but I prefer AHS over AHSEE; I feel Eau Extrême is AHS dried out to the sixth power. Some like AHSEE, but it doesn’t convince me.

  • It does not last nearly anything on skin, a maximum of three hours. The scent is excellent, but its longevity seems that of an EDT. For the price, it is not worth it: very poor longevity and projection.

  • Kevin Jodico

Ladies and Gentlemen of CHANEL: if you are going to create such an exquisite fragrance, you should be honourable and not destroy it with reformulations. It is a rich aroma, in my view even richer than the Eau Extreme, but it lacks projection and longevity. I do not know what the impulse is to reduce good fragrances to the minimum to highlight others. It lasts, at best, three to four hours. A mockery for the price it commands. Scent: 10/10, Projection: 6/10, Longevity: 3/10.

  • To be honest, I expected a little more; it smells nice but lacks a touch to be exquisite. It smells very citrusy at first, then becomes somewhat woody and, to a certain extent, ‘metallic’. It is perfect for daily use because it is simple and fits various settings. Regarding longevity and sillage, it is poor; it has better sillage than longevity, I believe the atomiser is too potent. Finally, I think there are better options for less money, as Allure is not spectacular in all aspects.

  • An exquisite fragrance, smelling of quality, though not natural. It is a clean, pleasant scent that does not offend, somewhat fresh (without being the freshest or most citrusy, I prefer others for extreme heat), creamy, musky, mentholated, and slightly vanilla. It is much less citrusy than the VPH, although they share a resemblance, in my opinion only in the dry down of the VPH, as there is almost nothing in the opening. For me, it would be an excellent signature scent and for daily use; it conveys care, neatness, and class. HOWEVER, given the price, I must be emphatic: it is not worth it; its longevity is very sad these days; I recommend analysing more economical options for daily use. Finally, compared to the flanker Extreme, I prefer this one much more; I believe the Extreme loses the peaceful tone this one has, but tastes are colours. I would not buy it today, despite loving its scent, as it is a painful disappointment.

  • Allure Homme Sport is a fragrance that, in my experience, almost everyone enjoys; I have never heard a negative opinion about its scent. It opens with citrus and marine notes; in the dry down, it feels sweet and warm. It does not feel dense but rather volatile; the marine notes are not deep, giving it a more aquatic than oceanic appearance. As it evolves, the initial citrus-marine opening fades slightly and aldehydes emerge, providing a cleanliness reminiscent of freshly ironed clothes. Vanilla and tonka bean contribute that sweet, creamy aspect without being cloying, simply making the perfume more versatile and unique. It lasts five to six hours with moderate projection for the first two hours. I consider it one of Chanel’s best perfumes and one of the finest citrus-marine fragrances thanks to the quality of its ingredients.

  • It is what I use when I don’t want to think about which perfume to wear. It never fails. I have bought it four times, which says it all.

  • Antonio Taleno

I have tried both the Eau Extreme and the standard Home Sport, and I must say the standard version is the best; it is definitely a scent that is loved and receives many compliments, as Andrés would say: ‘spectacular’. No wonder it is one of the so-called ‘low teens’ darlings 😤.

  • This fragrance reminds me of Versace Eau Fraiche; they almost share the same aroma, although as it dries down, the Versace smells very much like Montblanc Starwalker. I daresay they are truly excellent for these summer days and intense heat. I recommend them.

  • Fresh, citrusy, and striking, a perfect blend for its name ‘Sport’. It opens with clean citrus notes, featuring sweet mandarin and aquatic accords that give it a salty edge; it is very masculine and classic without feeling old. As it dries down, the mandarin persists, losing some acidity to blend with a vanilla and tonka bean base. It opens very fresh but becomes warm as it dries, though not as hot as its sibling Eau Extreme; CAHS maintains the ideal citrus freshness for high temperatures, which is why I prefer it. Scent: 8/10, very pleasant in the heat, a must-try on the wrist. Longevity: 8/10, it lasts six hours on skin and clings to clothes for days or weeks. Sillage: 6/10, it projects about a metre for the first two to three hours (personal bubble) before settling close to the skin. Versatility: 8/10, although designed for the gym, it suits shopping or meetings perfectly. Age range: 20+, slightly more mature than the Extreme. They are very similar, with an identical opening, but begin to differentiate after twenty minutes.

  • Monty Phyton

Smells like the classic Chinese Hercules, the one my grandmother used to give me for school, now known as Spagnolo Sport Red. Allure Sport lasts four hours: it opens fresh with aquatic and citrus notes, slightly marine, then settles into woods, pepper, and an ambered musk that lingers subtly and harmoniously on the skin without abrupt transitions. Vanilla acts as a supportive base. I detect no aldehydes. It has a childish, candid touch, nothing mature; it goes unnoticed and doesn’t draw attention, yet it transports me to innocence. Perfect for reading. 🕯️ 5.5/10.🔥

  • XavicatPerfum

A delight, it smells like slightly powdery orange, feels almost natural, giving a vibe of cleanliness and energy; those who smell it will like you smelling like it. Still, it’s not a perfume that lasts long; it barely lasts on me, and okay, smelling like it is delicious, but I’m not sure it’s worth paying so much for such mediocre performance; I’m not sure I’d buy it again.

  • Elk gultier

The simplest perfume in history and one of the most versatile; it’s almost an insult to what I’ve used this animal for; I’m on my third bottle. It smells super sharp of citrus and clean, it has nothing sweet or pleasant or anything, it SOUNDS LIKE SOAP and bergamot, I love it, I use it effusively for the gym and just smelling it puts me in the zone.

  • Come on… a fragrance that fulfils its function to the letter. Critical opening, slightly sweet and green; dry-down sweet and powdery. With an average longevity of about 5 hours at most, with average projection, and it’s more than enough as it doesn’t seek to attract attention. Day use rather than night. A simple perfume, nothing complicated, and that’s where its greatness lies; it’s a jewel. It’s one of the fragrances that has brought me the most comments, to the point that people linger near you to keep smelling it. Recommended blindly.

  • The opening and first phase have the DNA of the EDT (which is indeed a marvel) without the peach but with very well-balanced orange and mandarin, perhaps as in few fragrances. That phase lasts about 20 to 30 minutes projecting weakly but insistently. Then its projection fades even more, and the dry-down is pure tonka with a hint of sweet orange very deep in the base. Like the Eau Extreme, though less powdery. It’s a rich and inoffensive scent, of perceived quality and enjoyable instantly, but light years away from the EDT. Besides, it lasts and projects very little, about 2-3 hours at best, projecting 45 minutes (and it costs a fortune… 200 dollars for 100ml in Argentina). Is Versace Pour Homme the same? Not even close. The proposal is similar, though the Versace leans much more towards floral and generic, and even with its lower perceived quality, it costs half or less. On my skin, it lasts and projects even less than the Chanel. I wouldn’t recommend it at all for the price if you like the Allure Sport aroma. But I do suggest trying the Allure EDT. Edit after using it again for a week in the heat: this doesn’t last or project anything. Batch 2023.

  • Honestly, a great perfume; it could be for someone indifferent to perfumes who just wants one, and it would be valid because there’s no occasion where you’ll be told you smell bad with this. However, personally, I prefer the Versace Pour Homme.

  • soysamlopez

I’ve just bought it and feel it’s too early to give a complete opinion, but it does have a citrus and marine opening with orange and mandarin notes. The woody, slightly sweet aroma doesn’t take long to appear and smells very rich. Masculine, sophisticated, and versatile are some of the adjectives to describe this perfume at first glance.

  • soysamlopez

I’d describe it in two aromas: orange and vanilla. It smells absolutely delicious. For some reason, women love the sweet notes, and the citrus gives it a masculine vibe. I’ve received a few compliments on the street, which is quite a lot where I live as nobody pays attention to anyone. Recommended for a fresh morning rather than extreme heat conditions.

  • It’s a rich scent, but unfortunately, when I lived in a hot city, it didn’t help me at all. I got a compliment or two at the office, but you must test it first to see how it performs on your skin. Its longevity is poor; I wouldn’t recommend buying it.

  • JavierSantana

WOW! I bought this a few days ago and it has the same hype as the Eau Extreme; both are top-tier. Chanel never fails on quality and composition; it’s pure luxury. Soft citrus notes like orange, aldehydes, and marine accords give it a modern touch that tickles the nose, with a spicy pepper heart and a creamy, vanilla-musk base typical of the house. I don’t detect any woodiness, which I’m grateful for; the blend is perfect as it is. Longevity is good once dry. It doesn’t work in the heat, but in autumn, fresh spring, or winter, it shines. Ideal for collection and a good reason to keep a Swiss Army knife handy to store alongside some Creed or a summer Cool Water. If you ask me, a thousand times over Bleu, the truncated versions of Egoiste and Antaeus, and let’s not even talk about Pour Monsieur.

I bought it again a few days ago; I had it at university when I first entered the world of perfume. I remember that in 2013 Chanel promoted it as ‘the scent of bare skin’. The batch from that time must have been before the launch of the Extreme version. Bought in 2013, the batch was surely from years prior. What a surprise: it is totally reformulated. The essence is still there, but I am sure it was reformulated after the Extreme due to ‘hierarchy’. The scent I remember, quite durable (5-6 hours, well perceptible all the time, without being best mode), was much sweeter, without reaching the sweetness of the Extreme, more ‘tonka’ and vanilla. The current version is strange: very citrusy at the start and after 15 minutes it fades a lot, leaving a trail of spicy, musky, and slightly woody skin. The tonka and vanilla are just imagined. I understand the change due to hierarchy, because otherwise it would have ended up similar to the Extreme. What I don’t understand is that now you need at least 10 sprays to generate a very small trail. With the 2013 formula, 4 or 5 sprays were enough to have a well-present trail for hours without needing decanters. I understand why they now say it smells ‘like deodorant’ or ‘for the gym’. For 3,000 MXN, there are better options for a scent that lasts 30 minutes.

  • I was torn between Allure, YSL Y, and YSL EDP, and I decided on the first one. I knew I had doubts, such as its longevity. I admit I am drawn to citrus scents with sweet touches. I didn’t hesitate to buy it and I have no regrets. Its duration and projection are average, but it lasts me the same as other perfumes that promise eight hours. I feel it delivers what I was looking for, and the sensation of having its scent is a true gift.

  • A very versatile fragrance, clean scent with a slight vanilla touch. It delivers in any season and situation; it is pleasant, refined, and elegant. Duration and trail are average.

  • metroidsoldier

I tried this Chanel Allure Sport and it smells of vanilla orange, blending citrus and aromatic notes with aldehydes, black pepper, and marine notes. It is sporty, fresh, and sweet, with that typical Nivea Men Sport Fresh aroma.

  • Allure Homme Sport is correct; it doesn’t dazzle or polarise. It understands that being correct can be a compliment and executes it with mastery. I’ve tried it several times looking for that unexpected spark to make it unforgettable, but there isn’t one. It’s an 8/10, extremely well-behaved, unable to reach 10 due to a lack of soul and a fear of being strident. It combines sweet citrus with a marine touch; the opening is its most youthful moment. On my skin, the aldehydes are barely noticeable, but they give that clean, luminous summer feel. It is heat, it is light, the typical cologne for when you don’t know what to wear. It smells good, no one complains, no one is impressed. It’s like wearing a well-ironed polo shirt in a terrace full of people wearing the same shirt. Its great virtue is versatility, though limited to heat. It works at any age and in almost any occasion, except very formal ones. Perfect for a beer with friends, for a walk in the sun, or for the office in August. For a date? No, because no one falls in love with being correct. You don’t need it every day, but there are days when you need what Allure gives you.

  • I like it very much, but it lasts for a very short time and the trail is minimal. Ideal for sunny days only.

  • I bought it because my dad said it was the ‘Messi perfume’, so I bought it blind, thinking it would be rubbish. What a mistake! At first, I thought it was a great performer, yet it didn’t stand out as much as I’d hoped. I only received compliments from fellow fragrance enthusiasts or people who stood very close to me. The notes are typical; I compare it in football terms to a 5 midfield pivot: it performs and delivers, but it doesn’t explode. 8/10, a perfect score for what it is.

  • A lovely classic citrus scent with a marine touch and a vanilla base. I absolutely adore it, but be warned: as it is citrus-based, it doesn’t last or project very much. It smells incredibly clean and leaves a very pleasant personal trail.
