Sauvage Elixir by Dior

A great perfume; to be honest, it smelled better when it first came out, now it smells different. The same goes for the others.

A fantastic fragrance, very masculine. If going out to a special occasion had a smell, it would be this one.

Fantastic! For me, it’s suitable for all ages. I tried it, I have a baby face, and I loved it.

Easy, my favourite in the Sauvage line and overall. For me, it’s a perfume I keep coming back to because it smells like special situations, elegance, or a date with someone special. A powerful yet pleasant scent.

Definitely it has changed; blind tests with people outside the fragrance world clearly note the difference between an old batch and this 2025 one. The opening is much less potent and the longevity is shorter. During the dry-down it approaches the original. A pity.

Quite heavy; not a buy blind, I recommend trying it several times. A perfume with personality and maturity, quite spicy with amber, giving it a brutal projection and development. If you overdo it, it can become overwhelming, even clothes can smell after the wash. It’s one of the few heavy colognes that can be flexible in winter or autumn if you control it.

Elegant and masculine, this fragrance clearly evokes the classic gentleman-of-the-parlour profile. It smells of maturity and is exquisite in its composition: complex, very potent, and long-lasting; so much so that it can cause headaches. I do not recommend more than three sprays; it is eternal.

From my perspective (which is very limited), it is the best designer commercial fragrance available on the market.

Without a doubt, it is the most potent perfume in my entire collection. EVERY time I wear it, someone tells me how good I smell. It is a bomb; you can easily fill a room, and it lasts days and days on clothes. It is a potent blend of iris, lavender, and spices, masculine and aimed at adults, nothing juvenile. If your perfumes are Stronger With You or One Million, I do not recommend this without smelling it first. Longevity 10/10. Sillage 10/10. With 10 sprays you can easily smell and project for 24 hours. Price, 9/10 because 50 ml cost more than 100 euros.

Designer category. Strong, very spiced, and with that lavender well present. It distils elegance and is more ‘adult’. It has considerable longevity and sillage. It is a great perfume; perhaps its sin is the price and its lack of versatility.

Bought it in 2025, nearly new (April 2021), for a ludicrous price. I’ve used it about eight or nine times and then put it away. They sold it to me for $80 (a gift), whereas in Uruguay 60ml costs $300. It’s a good fragrance, but not quite as much as the Beast Mode hype suggests; on my skin, with four sprays, it lasts six to eight hours. If you like mature scents, it’s top tier, but if you’re not familiar with that style, don’t splash out that kind of money. It’s the richest in the Sauvage line, but if you can afford $300, you’d be better off going for niche alternatives like Piantino or Lorenzo Pazzaglia.

What a gem! Call me crazy, but the dry-down is 95% identical to Dior Homme Sport. You can really smell the citrus, that typical orange note from DHS.

POWER IN A BOTTLE. I’ve had this for a year and it is VERY intense. The opening is curious: spicy with peculiar lavender, then shifts to a delicious blend of cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon, all embraced by lavender. The longevity is brutal; it’s still detectable the next day where I sat, slept or hugged someone. Two sprays fill the room; at a friend’s house I had to open the window and turn on the heater. It is VERY strong. Maximum three sprays. It’s masculine, distinctive and polarising. If you overdo it, it causes olfactory fatigue and headaches. Test it on skin first. Worn well, it’s a table-thumping statement that demands attention and leaves a legacy. Scent: 10, Longevity: 10, Projection: 10, Total: 10.

Dior Sauvage Elixir stands out wherever it goes. On another level than its massified predecessors. It radiates masculinity, security and maturity. Intense opening with nutmeg, cinnamon and acidic grapefruit. Ephemeral lavender, moving to ambered licorice that marks its character. Seductive and masculine, not for daily wear nor for all ages. It radiates maturity and presence.

Dior Sauvage Elixir 🌃👔 My god… what a piece of a fragrance. It’s pure masculinity: masculine, elegant, powerful and with a sexy magnetism that impacts instantly. The only reason I don’t own it is exclusivity: being part of the Sauvage family, I know many use it. Although the Elixir is less common, inevitably you’ll see it on more than one skin. Just try it to understand its success. I thought it would be the most intense Sauvage, but I received a slap of reality: it’s different, with its own identity and more sophisticated. From the first spray, deep spiced notes of nutmeg, animalic and mysterious air. Warm cocoa-like nuance, balanced by freshness that keeps it vibrant. Irresistible duality: dark and warm, but with a fresh edge so it’s not heavy. Strong, imposing, hypnotic. It conveys luxury and masculinity without vulgarity. Not aromatic or citrusy like the original, but elegant, warm, spiced and mineral. Brutal performance: over 24 hours on skin, days on clothes, potent projection and enveloping sillage. One of the most durable and noticeable from Dior. Unequivocally nocturnal and formal occasion. Not for day, summer or sun. It shines at dinners, galas or parties. On a date it can be interesting for its spiced magnetism, not for being sweet. I don’t recommend buying blind; it’s easy to find, better to test. Although it’s accessible enough to risk it, its intense character may not suit everyone. In summary: exceptional launch, masculine, elegant, mysterious and with monstrous performance. Its only flaw is the lack of exclusivity, but it’s a modern masterpiece proving Dior still innovates.
