We shall see who will be the first to try this jewel of perfumery. I hope it is an imperishable elixir for our collections, with projection, longevity, and charm.

  • I don’t understand how someone has already posted that they hate it if they haven’t even smelled it. We shall see how it is and then judge it.

  • The scent is excellent; it’s a more mature and less sweet Aventus. Longevity is top-notch, but the sillage is weak.

  • Maestro_Perfumista

I bought a sample of Absolu Aventus to test before purchasing, and here is my verdict: Exquisite opening, very smoky, with 20-30% Aventus DNA, but much more mature and dark, suitable for formal and evening events. I must say it smells more like Lattafa Asad than Dior Sauvage Elixir, though Creed’s quality is incomparable and noticeably superior; that is certain. I prefer the original Creed Aventus to this version. If I must rate it, I give it a 7.5; very rich, but given the price, it’s not a guaranteed winner at 100%.

  • A source of shame for Creed with this fragrance. As a lover of their classics, I feel we’ve lost an exclusive brand forever. This is capitalising on success and olfactory ignorance; it smells like a high-quality commercial but very inauthentic. The fact that it’s a limited edition reinforces the concept: a Christmas joke. Where is the Aventus? Someone explain to me what it has to do with it. If I smell it blind, I wouldn’t believe it for a joke. Creed sold out to success and money; it no longer stands out for distinction. Shame. No originality or development to justify the price. Of course, it will be a hit with the masses, I don’t doubt it.

  • I tried it yesterday at Harrods. The opening felt smokier, less fresh and fruity. As it dried on my skin, it became very spicy with a nod to Dior Elixir and echoes of Viking Cologne’s dry-down. Overall, I see it as more mature and nocturnal. It loses freshness but gains elegance. Note the fixative; it’s oily but long-lasting. Projection is fair, but longevity is very correct. Seven sprays on my unfortunate skin lasted about seven hours.

I bought it today in Miami, even though it wasn’t available for a few days. They put it on my wrist at 1:00 PM, and it’s nearly 12:00 PM and it’s already showing on my skin. I think it’s good; I like it. It’s spicier, reminding me of Viking Cologne mixed with Aventus. The bottle physically looks better than Irish Tweed, and the material feels of a different quality. A bit pricey, but if you can afford it, it’s worth it, in my opinion, more than the 10th Anniversary, which is almost identical to the original. But everyone should try it on skin. They say it resembles Roja Apex and has a certain air, but it’s fresher. On skin, it’s very different. On paper, it’s more similar. The truth is, I liked it.

  • First impressions in-store. A flanker that wins over Aventus fans because it doesn’t stray far from the original. I refuse to agree with others, as the opening caught me off guard with that explosion of pineapple (even if it’s not on the label), much fruitier, sweeter, and fresher, with less smoke, adding citrus notes that Aventus lacks. In short, at first, it seems like an Aventus with more fruit.

What if you mix Aventus with a pinch of Sauvage Elixir? Well, we have Absolu Aventus. Ultra-masculine, for 30 and above, elegant and serious. It’s a great fragrance, be it said, though somewhat generic because we already have those chords in Aventus, Sauvage Elixir, and Boss Bottled Elixir. It doesn’t invent anything new, but it unites two masculine and desired fragrances. If you don’t like Aventus or Sauvage Elixir, forget it. If you love them, you have to get it. Very good longevity: it projects well for the first hour, then stays in a personal bubble of half a metre with a rich sillage. After six hours, it moves to skin-level but is noticeable until eight, and on clothes it lasts from one day to the next. As for price, I don’t want to get involved; everyone has their own money. If it doesn’t convince you, there are cheaper alternatives (though you won’t smell the same). The worst thing is that it doesn’t come in 100ml. Remember the 10% discount on the official website for your first purchase; if you’ve already bought one, make another account with another email for the code. It comes to around 288€ with two free samples. By the way, the notes given by Fragrantica are wrong; visit the Creed website to know them better.

  • If you love Aventus but hate the longevity of recent batches and are searching for something creamy and sweet (without tipping into dessert territory), craving a citrus note without losing the pineapple, and have the budget to spend, this is a bomb. If this doesn’t apply to you, forget it; clones are everywhere. I sometimes get a goat pen vibe from it too, but when I want to turn heads, Aventus Absolu is my king.

  • I liked it, and honestly, the change was necessary. Basically, it’s Aventus mixed with Sauvage Elixir, as the experts said. I still had doubts, but it passes quite well. It’s not innovative because it smells like Aventus with that dark, smoky touch, and you can feel the pepper. The combination is good, and the projection and longevity are better than the OG in recent years, more like the 2010 batches. It projects for about two hours and lasts 9-10 hours on the skin. It’s false to say the pineapple isn’t noticeable; you definitely feel it. I bought the bottle on discount at a Saks Fifth Avenue because the official price is outrageous, but logically it’s Creed and it’s a limited edition, costing 545 dollars. They overpriced it, but I repeat, it’s Creed and it’s a great perfume. If you can afford it, buy it.

  • It hit exactly what I expected: a fusion of Aventus and Sauvage Elixir. I like it more than the latter, though it doesn’t reach the level of the former, and I admit it was a necessary update for such a repetitive scent. The good thing is that it takes the best of both: it doesn’t smell synthetic or disgusting like the Elixir, and it maintains good longevity in the fruity pineapple and apple notes, all mixed together with the house’s typical mastery. I’m not in the mood to smell like this right now, but if you ask me, I do recommend trying it and probably buying it.

  • Mofeta Perfumada

Aventus with a touch of Sauvage Elixir. At first, it smells exactly like that, but then the Aventus fades away in a sigh, leaving a pleasant and light fragrance, like a clone of the Elixir but less concentrated. It smells good, of course, but paying 320 euros? Not on your life. The Boss Bottled Elixir, which smells similar, costs four times less and is brilliant.

  • Olfactory Memories

🔎👃🏻SIMPLE AND COMPLEX-LITE👃🏻🔍 To the point… Does it maintain the Aventus DNA? Of course, it’s noticeable from start to finish if you have a minimally functional sense of smell. Is it redundant compared to its older sister? Absolutely not; it is a more serious and elegant version (although Aventus wasn’t exactly lame in those departments). Which is more all-terrain? In my opinion, Aventus, although Absolu also gets a pass. What is it like? To my nose, agreeing with many others, it is a mix of Aventus and Sauvage Elixir; I’d say 75% and 25% respectively. It’s not exact to either, mind you, just that it reminds a lot of that mix, which is a resounding success. Performance? Average; it lasts me about 5-6 hours, projecting well for two of them, and from then on leaving a personal bubble. Its trail is moderate. Its quality/performance/price ratio doesn’t seem the best to me, but well, that depends on each person. I still stick with the original, Aventus. It remains several steps ahead overall. Cheers!

  • @Nivek, haven’t you had enough with calling Aventus users stupid, and now you’re calling Absolu buyers fools? How difficult is it for you to review a scent without insulting the buyers and users of the same?

  • A perfumer debunks the reality of that ‘niche’ perfume at 320€ for 75ml. In fact, they claim Dior Sauvage Elixir would deserve the label more than Aventus Absolu. It’s one of many lies in the niche world, fed by many shoddy reviewers who cheer loudly simply because they’ve been ripped off of 280€.

  • Olfactory Memories

To the point: Does it maintain the Aventus DNA? Absolutely, it’s noticeable from start to finish if you have a minimally functional sense of smell. Is it redundant with its older sister? Not at all; this version is more serious and elegant (though Aventus wasn’t exactly bad in those points). Which is more versatile? In my opinion, Aventus, although Absolu has also been approved. What does it smell like? I agree with many people: it’s a mix of Aventus and Sauvage Elixir, I’d say 75% and 25% respectively. It’s not exact to either one, but it recalls that combination a lot, which is a total success. Performance: average, it lasts me 5-6 hours, projecting well for the first 2 hours and then leaving a personal bubble. Moderate sillage. The quality/price ratio isn’t the best, but it depends on each person. I stick with the original, Aventus, which remains several steps ahead overall. Cheers!

  • Creed Absolu Aventus: The main detail is that people expect it to be the superior evolution of the original Aventus, and it isn’t for a simple reason: it has its own identity. Let’s say it loves me and can handle me. It’s a pretentious, enthusiastic, and effusive fragrance. It carries an air of Sauvage Elixir, but less opaque, sharper, and combines brilliantly with the nocturnal style. It has an attractive personality with that grapefruit note, very sparkly and effervescent thanks to the cassis which gives it a unique and outstanding side. I don’t think it’s redundant if you already have Aventus or any inspiration. It’s a correct flanker, very tasty and of good quality. If you think it smells like Sauvage Elixir, it doesn’t. Sincerely, it’s very good without being extraordinary. It suits young adults over 25. Nocturnal aroma as the bottle indicates. Versatile, works all year round. Scent: 9.0. Projection regular, 2 hours without being scandalous. Longevity: 7 or 8 hours. I like it, but perhaps due to price it’s not the best option; I think there are similar options for less money. Approved.

  • Many people were disappointed because they claim it smells like Sauvage Elixir, but I absolutely love it. It’s the perfect blend between a super versatile and attractive fragrance (like Aventus) and something mature and elegant (call it Sauvage Elixir if you must). It keeps the original DNA but elevates it to a more mature, elegant, and distinctive dimension. It’s the perfume for an alpha male, yet it doesn’t smell like an old man or a ‘señor madro’ like the Elixir, which I see as suitable for men aged 35-40 and above. This one smells more modern and contemporary; I’d say it’s for people aged 20-25 and up. Performance? It easily lasts over 8 hours on the skin, with moderate projection but a marked sillage. Conclusion? We need to stop crying and start enjoying things for what they are. You can’t create notes out of thin air; you have to play with what exists. If you want something disruptive, go smell the oud from a Cambodian ibex’s armpit.

  • ABSOLU AVENTUS CREED: The main detail is that people expect it to be the superior, complementary evolution of Aventus, and it is not, for a simple reason: it has its own identity. You could say it wants me and eventually wins me over. It is a pretentious, enthusiastic, and effusive fragrance. It carries an air of Sauvage Elixir, but not so opaque; rather, it is crisp and goes brilliantly with a nocturnal or low-light style. It has a very attractive personality with that grapefruit note, very sparkling and effervescent, giving it a unique and outstanding side. I don’t think it’s redundant if you already have Aventus or an inspiration. It is a correct flanker, very enjoyable, and of good quality. If you think Sauvage Elixir smells the same, it doesn’t. Sincerely, it is very good without being extraordinary. It suits young adults aged 25 and upwards. A nocturnal aroma, as the bottle says. Versatile; any season works. Scent: 9.0. Projection is regular for two hours without being scandalous. Longevity: 7 hours, max 8. I like it; perhaps due to the price, it’s not the best option; I think there are similar choices for less money. Approved.

Absolutely mind-blowing… This is perfection in a bottle. I was never a big fan of the Aventus DNA because I wanted it to be more citrusy and fresh than woody, and this hit the nail on the head in a way I didn’t know I needed. A friend passed me a sample and I fell in love at first sight. It’s as if they took Aventus, Sauvage Elixir, and L’Immensité and gave them the next level. I really hope it’s not limited edition because I know I’ll need it and it will be hard to get. Of all the Aventus flanks and clones, THIS is the one for a lifetime.

Absolutely mind-blowing… This is perfection in a bottle; I was never a great admirer of the Aventus DNA because I wanted it to be more citrusy/fresh than woody, and this hit the nail on the head in a way I didn’t know I needed. I received a sample from a friend and fell in love with the first whiff. To me, it’s as if they took Aventus, Sauvage Elixir, and L’Immensité and took them to the next level. I would really wish it wasn’t limited because I know I will need it more in the future and it will be harder to get. Of all the Aventus flankers and clones, THIS is the one for life.

  • Mr. Baskerville

Is it good? Of course. Very well made, from the start it has the spark of Aventus but they give it a turn that makes it more sober and adult without losing its essence. When they talk about its nocturnal side, they’re right, that’s where it feels best, though I think it lacks a bit of push to compete with cheaper options and those with more projection. The longevity isn’t bad, but its fans would want more. I’m not a Creed customer, but I recognise they don’t make mediocre perfumes. Just like with the original Aventus, what doesn’t convince me is the price for what it offers. That’s my case, it doesn’t mean others aren’t delighted with the outlay. Recommended to try; Aventus loyalists will find it great.

  • RicardoPowa123

People vote without smelling it… some say it smells like Aventus and others like Dior Elixir, how ridiculous! They are different things. It already happened with them saying any sweet-touched Aventus is ‘Baccarat Rouge’. They are watching too much YouTube and repeating nonsense. IT HAS CINNAMON! That gives it the sweetness. End of story.

  • It’s a mix of Aventus, Baccarat Rouge, and a bit of Sauvage Elixir made to be a sales hit, which we hope will bring us a fresher flanker.

  • Absolu Si is as if they mixed Sauvage Elixir with an old-school Aventus; disappointing because it promised to be truly innovative.

  • ArmandoPerfumo

It’s dispensable, it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it resembles Sauvage Elixir, it’s not a beast mode, now you love Aventus and Creed and don’t mind the cost: it’s a fabulous, rich, and exclusive fragrance, elegant Aventus, dark for cold seasons, and that’s all, there’s nothing more. When something has so much hate, you know it’s good hehe. But watch out, it’s not the Ark of the Covenant. Those who have it know what I mean, enjoy it as I do 😎👍

  • When I tried it, my expectations were high and I didn’t want a simple reissue; I think they were met. Absolu Aventus has its own character within the Aventus DNA. The first thing you notice is that effervescent blast of grapefruit that shines with the cassis, creating a citrus accord reminiscent of Sauvage Elixir, but much more refined and less aggressive. Instead of Dior’s hardness, there is a more subtle and elegant version, perfect for a quiet night or a night out. It’s the kind of fragrance that stands out without asking for attention, like someone who knows they have style without showing it off. Absolu feels more mature and nocturnal, as if the original Aventus had grown up and now enjoys a whisky instead of champagne. If Aventus is versatile and the king of day and night, Absolu is for intimate or elegant moments. Compared to Aventus Cologne, which is fresher, Absolu says: ‘this is for special occasions’. The lack of versatility weighs on it, but it compensates with that sober air. It lasted about six hours on the skin, with good projection for the first two. The trail isn’t overwhelming, ideal for discreet environments. But there are doubts: is it worth 300 euros? It’s exquisite and well-balanced, but if you’re looking for long-lasting performance or beastly projection, it’s not the best option. If you already have Aventus, it’s not essential, though it could be a good complement for the nights. For me, a decant is enough to enjoy its sophistication from time to time.

  • Jaime Ramírez

I was gifted a 5mL sample and at first it is very similar to the classic Aventus, but after a few minutes the citrus drops and the heavy, smoky, and nocturnal notes rise. It’s like an Aventus Night. You can really feel the clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and tonka bean. It’s a winter scent, cool days, or night. It’s more masculine and elegant than the classic, which is daytime, citrusy, and wearable for any day. Super long-lasting, I took a shower and it’s still on my wrist. Between the two I prefer the classic, I see it for over 40s and formal wear with a suit. Total quality, although there are clones that mimic it almost identically and last longer than the Absolú. I give it 8 out of 10.

  • GazAdventures

I tried the tester and a clone extract from a famous shop; the clone smells almost identical and performs better. I don’t understand why a respected house like Creed sells something with inferior performance. It smells wonderful, it’s a sweeter, heavier version of Aventus with a hint of Elixir at the base that comes and goes. At first, it’s very fruity, then that Elixir scent emerges, though it reminds me more of the Sauvage Elixir clone than the original. I don’t mind; it blends well with the fruity and citrus notes. When smelling Sauvage Elixir, you can tell the Dior quality, another level compared to Creed. It’s a pleasant fragrance, ideal for autumn and spring, perhaps a bit heavy for summer, but generally, I like it.

  • Pabloquinte

It has a lot of notes that unfold over time. It’s the Aventus DNA but with evolution, like a very successful second level. For me it lasts about 7 hours. Its charm is the distinct notes, it’s as if you were wearing several perfumes.

  • Carcanuelo

Unlike the Dior Sauvage Elixir which only has the name, this Absolú Aventus is a real flanker of the original. The Aventus is noticeable from the start, with more citrus/pineapple and a licorice-type accord from the Sauvage Elixir, but at 50% and drops until becoming subtle and more versatile. The result is a more mature, elegant, clean Aventus with a modern fougere touch, not soapy. The Aventus DNA lasts the whole life of the perfume. Good complement to the saga, alongside the summer Cologne. It’s not dense nor winter despite the bottle, suitable for any season except hot days. Ideal for formal/semi-formal situations and over 25s. Good performance. It happened to me with the Cologne: I would have appreciated a bit more difference. Still, they are highly recommended flankers with top aromas.

  • It’s a Creed essence with a pineapple, pepper, and blackcurrant opening that becomes woody in 30 minutes. Incredible, it’s not for winter but from spring to autumn. The trail is moderate, barely a metre, and lasts 2 hours on skin. Maximum longevity is 5 hours, a bit more on skin. All that said, it’s very well made.

  • A disappointment and nothing original. Today I tested the Creed Aventus Absolú for all the hype… and the disappointment was total. It’s basically a clone—yes, a clone—of the Dior Sauvage Elixir, which came out two years earlier, or even the Montblanc Explorer, on the market more than four years ago. Is this niche perfumery? The worst part is that the designer versions, at least Dior’s, feel much more refined and with higher quality ingredients. There is no excuse for a perfume over 300€. Very disillusioned. This type of launch makes me think they are pulling our legs, those of us who truly love the world of perfume.

  • aventusman

If you think this is a clone of Dior Elixir, you are wrong. The Savage lacks that typical pineapple of the Aventus; it starts with a citrus opening and then leaves that delicious cinnamon scent, which brings me memories of winter afternoons drinking cinnamon tea by my fireplace. As for the Elixir, the sweetness fits with the Absolú but not with the pineapple or cinnamon (I tested both all day on each hand).

  • ale.flanagan

I tested it with two 2mL samples and it is a blend of citrus, moss, sweets, and spices with a classic touch. Although it sounds complex, after wearing it a lot it feels simple. The dry-down isn’t linear nor does it have a striking development. Longevity is good but projection is short. It suits all year round except summer, and on hot nights or winter if you don’t want to stand out. I don’t see myself wearing it with a suit due to that sweet spicy youthful touch, but yes for moderately formal dates. I idealised the perfume in the store and upon using it I faced reality, but that’s life. It’s pretty and versatile, but not a work of art.

  • If it’s 75% Creed Aventus and the rest an exquisite touch of cinnamon in the fifth position adding an elegant, non-annoying sweetness despite being spicy, it doesn’t bother the nose. I disagree with those who say it smells like Dior Sauvage Elixir; they are distant relatives, but this is distinct and there is no similar dupe (I haven’t tried the Jo Milano one). It has excellent longevity and is extremely elegant for evening wear. A jewel at a ridiculously high price. As they say, to each their own tastes and perfumes. A hug.
