  There are perfumes that are total successes and others that nobody wants. This flanker of Aventus is exactly the latter case. The confusion of the buyer and Creed’s poor taste in naming are the key issues. Many fans thought it was an improved remake of the previous Absolu Aventus, which is not ‘in absolu’, and that is why it has been downgraded on Fragrantica for not resembling the original, something the house never intended. The 2023 Absolu was limited and is now finished, but this 2025 edition aims to complete the dark side of the line so the Aventus DNA can be used all year round. This darker brother concentrates more of the familiar traits to make them wearable in the cold. Is it versatile like the daytime cologne or the original for night? I wouldn’t recommend it above 30 degrees. In terms of longevity, it is comparable to the previous Absolu or the Green Irish Tweed: a minimum of 7 hours on skin, projecting a metre for the first hour before settling into a personal aura. It has a sharp citrus touch with pink pepper and mint (though not declared), plus a floral trail that blends with the heart of cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon, similar to geranium, lavender, and rose. The fruity genome is always present, but as it dries down, patchouli and vetiver appear with touches of vanilla and tonka bean to give it personality. Perhaps there is a touch of oakmoss in the base, but it is secondary. It is versatile for all year round, except extreme heat or intense cold, and suitable for anything except formal situations. It looks more masculine and mature (from age 25) than the cologne or the original. I believe much better work has been done here on fixation, note quality, and transitions. Thus, those for whom the original didn’t suit their skin can now enjoy a genuine Aventus without turning to inspired brands. As always, do not focus solely on scores; test on skin before buying niche and trust your body, which is the only real judge.

Fans of the Aventus line have punished this 2025 version on Fragrantica for not resembling the original, though Creed never intended that.   I managed to get Absolu Aventus last week and, after trying it for several days, I can affirm that it feels like an optimised version of the original Absolu Aventus. It keeps that characteristic fruity and spicy DNA, but here the construction is more polished, with a more natural transition in its development. The general feeling is that the quality is a step up and the performance is simply atomic. I won’t describe a well-known scent; simply, I say that I am fascinated by this fragrance, it is addictive, and I will recommend it until the end of my days. An ode to elegance and power.

  What a bomb of a perfume! Although I haven’t got it yet, Absolu Aventus is one of the few recent Creed launches that deserves it for quality and performance. The notes smell incredible and generate total adoration. It maintains the DNA of the classic but takes it to the next level, enhancing it and making it super modern. It is a superior olfactory experience. For me, it is incredible and I truly want it. Despite there being similar dupes, I am sure they fail to reflect the quality, the soul, and the different process of this perfume. A jewel that redefines luxury in men’s perfumery. ⚜️ Scent: 10/10 (Incredible adoration, superior to the classic). ⚜️ Longevity: 10/10 ⚜️ Duration: 10-12h (Estimated, in line with its potency). ⚜️ Projection: 10/10 (A true bomb). ⚜️ Perfume: The Best in the World ⚜️ Final Score: 10/10 ⚜️

  This perfume is an absolute bomb! Although I haven’t got it yet, I feel that Absolu Aventus is one of the few recent Creed launches that truly deserves it in terms of quality and performance. The quality of its notes is impressive, generating incredible adoration. It maintains the DNA of the classic Aventus but takes it to another level, enhancing it and making it absolutely modern. It’s a superior olfactory experience. For me, it’s incredible and I truly want it. Despite there being dupes that are similar, I am convinced they fail to reflect the quality, the soul, and the totally different process that makes up this perfume.   God, what a perfume… Perfect for absolutely everything. I imagined it would be dark and dense, but it isn’t. It is easily worn daily as a signature. It is masculine and simple. Compared to the Supremacy Collector Edition, there is no comparison; the Afnan smells terrible next to this. What more can I say? It is a slightly darker and denser Aventus, fantastic and almost redundant if you already have the classic because they are very similar. The original is more crystalline and transparent, whereas this is more ‘dry’. I am waiting for the Maison Asrar dupe, which they claim is 95% close; once I get it, I will do a comparison because this DNA is my current addiction and I want more people to know about it. 10/10, except for the price, I would empty the bottle in a month. 😫

Compared to the Supremacy Collector Edition, this wins by a landslide—the Afnan smells terrible next to it. It’s a slightly darker and denser Aventus, fantastic and almost redundant if you already own the original as they are very similar. The classic Aventus is more crystalline and transparent, whereas this is more ‘dry,’ so to speak. I’m waiting for the Maison Asrar dupe, which they claim is 95% close; once I get it, I’ll do a comparison because this DNA is my current addiction and I want more people to know about it. 10/10, except for the price, I’d empty the bottle in a month. 😫
