This is what I expected; I looked for it in other bottles, containers, under the carpet, in the oven and even licked the sweaty leg of a horse and nothing. I have found it! Fresh tangerine, do you like it? The other fruit that I have not managed to decipher has gone crazy for me. One of the best.
I have been using it for several years; in my opinion it is one of the best there is. I have always loved the opening and the blend of aromas is a delight for the nose. It is true that it is a bit expensive, but if you love fragrances, it is worth it.
The fragrance I have liked most in my life. I used it as a signature from 2014 until 2018; it literally hypnotised people. I live in Colombia and I have unjustly hated it for the poorly made imitations (like Freiche or bespoke) that abound; although they don’t reach their ankles, the fact that they say ‘I’m wearing Creed SMW’ made me have bad faith towards them. Is it one of my favourite scents from the past? Yes. Would I use it again? No. Do I recommend it? Yes, but I have already met other very fresh fragrances. This is my humble contribution.
It reminds me of a walk through the forest after a light rain. It has that initial citrus touch, I suppose of bergamot, which softens to reveal something more complex and relaxing. Definitely not for everyone, but if you like feeling close to nature, it might suit you well.
I love this perfume: the smell, freshness, originality and cleanliness are fantastic. You can tell the good quality of its components. That said, it does not perform well nor project for long; it is not for making a statement. However, it stays on the skin and projects at less than half a metre. If you want to project more, use a decant and reapply. If you like it and understand its weaknesses, learn to use it for intimacy; it feels close without being invasive.
Exquisite and very original, it smells natural… but it does not project much and its longevity is not the best for the price. I know many say that magic lies in discretion, but I believe it should last longer. Nevertheless, it would be my signature if not for Aventus. Scent 10/10, projection 8/10, longevity 8/10.
BRUTAL! A fresh, pickled and herbal morning after the rain. I was fascinated by the tea and tangerine note at the start; I would like to know where it goes after maceration. I have never smelled it, only its inspirations. At the Black Friday sale, the quality is noticeable from a mile away compared to any clone. It is quite well made, but I do not know how the longevity fares. I suppose you get what you pay for.
I dislike that green and citrus blend where the tangerine is not noticeable; it smells strong for being citrus. It is a good all-rounder but I would not buy it again. Scent 3/10, longevity 9/10, projection 9/10. Blind buy 8/10, price 2/10. Final note 6.2; without the price it would be an 8.
I bought a decant and usually spray it on the cap to smell it before using it. The first time I thought it was rich, with hints of Green Irish Tweed. Today I used it with 38 degrees in Monterrey: moderate trail, at 20 cm, citrusy and clean due to the musk. It is pleasant, but the projection is poor for the price. I will give it another chance with 10 sprays to see if I change my mind. Rating: 7.
No one understands how long this lasts; it easily lasts a minimum of eight hours. It is a masterpiece from Creed. It is celestial, non-invasive and easy to enjoy. As it is unisex, it attracts the opposite sex greatly. Fragrances like Sillage don’t even come close. Creed’s quality is another world: you pay for the niche experience, not just to smell good. It is versatile, shines in summer and is elegant and refined. One of the most exquisite scents I have ever smelled. If Eden smelled of anything, it would undoubtedly be Creed SMW.
Muuuuy delicious. Nothing to add about how lovely it smells. However, the longevity is a joke for the price. An hour of timid projection before retreating and becoming unnoticed unless you are smelled up close. Much hype, little performance. Houses fill their pockets for a sigh of aroma. With dupes at a tenth of the price, there is no sense in buying it.
Huge resemblance to Turathi Blue: citrusy, musky and quite flat. Perhaps in this Silver there is a more herbal and green note, but the similarity is undeniable. The citrus opening becomes slightly orange without losing acidity, and the musk dominates the entire journey of an aroma with no evolution. It fits and transforms perfectly, working with my pH. A clear yes for summer or temperatures above 28 degrees. Again, I would not pay what they ask; there are very similar alternatives for a fifth of the price.
Fresh; the note I perceive most is mandarin. It is complimentary but very personal, extroverted yet reserved. Those who approach will be impressed, but those who do not pass by will remain unnoticed. The fresh and citrusy notes conquer anyone, but they must be within a conversational range. It smells like someone clean, elegant and who likes to experiment. I would not buy it for the price; better to choose an alternative.
It does not project like a beast, but it is always present for your own delight. You can smell the class in the citrus; the opening is very different from the drydown and the materials are of good quality. It reminds me of Imagination tied with Afternoon Swim. I understand that the performance is not liked because it is not a beast in projection, but it lasts and is perceived without adding anything. I recommend it with 9 out of 10.
Simply paradise. It smells relaxing, fresh and clean. It is the perfect perfume for your wedding: subtle enough to enjoy, not to leave a trail, but always present. If someone approaches, they will ask what you are wearing. It is perfect, 100% versatile, the best of Creed.
Somewhere between Mefisto and Calvin Klein One: herbal (grass), lemon, floral, musky and talcum-like. The talcum floral touch makes it unisex, similar to a citrusy Donna Karan. It is soft and pleasant, but on my skin it stays very light; at first it is noticeable, but after an hour it disappears almost completely.
Creed has not visited the alpine mountains much because it does not smell fresh and alpine… it has a delicious Creed aroma, but the performance is lamentable. After two hours, it smells like nothing. It is not acceptable at that price. If I put it on at 5 pm to go for a drink, it cannot be that it does not smell by 8 pm.
Very citrusy, too much bergamot and mandarin. Ideal for hot climates and daytime use, such as the gym or short outings, because its longevity is very short. Suitable for men up to 45 years old.
Silver Mountain Water by Creed is unique. Its true potential only reveals itself on skin, never on paper. Day 1: strong and intense; you have to walk to let the wind release the chords. Day 2: sweet, subtle and sophisticated; with the breeze comes a balanced acidic citrus. Indoors it is soft, elegant and deeply masculine. It says much about who chooses it: a classic-modern elegance, without being pretentious. It is simple, just and necessary elegance. Humility without submission, determination without arrogance. Day 3: I fell in love. Confession: if they had gifted it to me, I never would have discovered its essence; paying for it is what made me value it. Free things lose importance.
It’s like mixing the green notes of GIT with the sensual musk of Kouros: a delightful result. Pierre Fragrance is simple, starting with citrus that later wraps around green notes. The drydown is almost aphrodisiac, musky and creamy. It distils elegance, neatness and sensuality without showing off.
It is one of the most versatile fragrances I have owned. A very fresh and wearable scent, with very good projection (a few metres) and very good longevity (around five hours). Exquisite citrus notes with a phenomenal floral base. 100% recommended. This fragrance is very good, but if you want the same thing for much less… look for ‘SILVER’ by Al Rehab. You will get the same aroma for a few dollars, with much greater longevity (a perfume that lasts days). Others are: Armaf Sillage and Derby Blanche. Cremo Silver Water & Birch.
Fresh, citrusy, green, and very musky. Among the Creed fragrances I own and have tried, this is by far my favourite for being simple and clean. It has earned me many compliments, but it is not worth the price you have to pay for it, despite being one of my favourite fragrances in life.
I have just entered the world of perfumery and decided to try the classics as a first step. The Creed house has been disappointing because all the fragrances I have accessed via bottles have terribly short longevity. This is no exception, and although I applied eight sprays, by the time I left I already sensed what would happen: indeed, after half an hour, there is no trace of it left.
A beautiful fragrance, but unfortunately its performance and projection nowadays are a joke. If you want to waste your money, here is Silver Mountain Water: after 40 minutes you will not feel it, and even less so those around you. It is a kick in the balls what the Creed house is doing with its reformulations. I wish people would stop consuming and go bankrupt due to such scandals and unfair practices.
This perfume is the definition of summer. It smells very similar to Afternoon Swim by LV, but the quality of the notes is on another level. It is very expensive but completely worth it. My favourite perfume from the Creed house.
It is summer. In my city, we have had temperatures between 38 and 41 degrees (and whatever is left) for over a week. Help. But here comes SMW to save me. I do not know if it is the mandarin, the tea, or the galbanum, but this fragrance has me hypnotised. At first, I was surprised by its delicate citrus bitterness, then it conquered me with its sober green character, sharp and invigorating. It is a juice of blindingly bright and icy light, relentless: a perfect unisex. I love its purity and reserved elegance, though it is also somewhat rough. Undoubtedly, one of its strong points is its great versatility; with SMW, you almost always get it right. A classic.
We have all been there: walking into a Creed boutique with determination, as if your credit card wouldn’t tremble at the price tag. And there it is, Silver Mountain Water, in its nuclear white bottle, a promise of icy purity and a suspiciously high tax status. You approach, give a single furtive spray on the back of your hand, and leave quickly, with the gesture of someone who has sampled caviar in the supermarket without intending to buy it. You smell it and think: ‘Good heavens, this is what rich Swiss people smell like after skiing and before washing their sins away in champagne’. Then you look at the price and realise you would need to sell a kidney, or several organs of your relatives, to afford it. That is why Perfumarte exists. Because the system is not made for dreams, but for reasonable clones. The Perfumarte version opens just as citrusy, just as fresh, but with a more… human air. Less ‘I just came out of an Alpine monastery studying philosophy’ and more ‘I showered this morning and feel unstoppable’. The metallic base, that whisper of ink and mountain, remains, though it sounds more like an office stapler than a glacial torrent. And then there is that talc. Ah, the blessed talc. Clean, subtle, impersonal like a high-end spa receptionist. It gives an aura of ‘I have immaculate white socks’ without raising suspicions that you are using a €20 cologne with a €250 face. The best part is that it lasts. Unlike the average salary. It remains with dignity, like those expensive perfumes you gaze at from the display window but without asking you to mortgage your soul. This is not Creed. And that is its best feature. Because if paying €300 to smell like glacial water seems reasonable to you, you need less perfume and more therapy. The Perfumarte version is for those who know that elegance can also be faked with talent. For the one who will sniff the original with the disguise of a spy, but at home spray the clone like an emperor of the provinces. With pride. And without ruining dinner.
To be honest, I expected much more. It wasn’t my first choice; I went for Aventus, but it was unavailable, so I tried this one and liked it, buying it to treat myself to a Creed. It smells rich, fresh, and the quality of the ingredients is evident, but its performance leaves a lot to be desired. It projects very little and lasts very little. If you expect to apply it and have people say, ‘mmm, that smells delicious’, this is not it; they would have to be very close to you. There are more common and cheaper perfumes that work better. I would definitely not buy it again.
A brutal fragrance, especially when first applied. It smells addictive and stands out from designer perfumes, exuding class and refinement. It is one of Creed’s best, alongside Aventus and Silver Mountain Water. Depending on the heat, longevity varies; that is not its strong suit. In high temperatures, it fades within a few hours—that is its only flaw. Ideal for those who appreciate a well-crafted composition. Contrary to popular belief, I prefer it in cooler weather, as its fresh aroma complements that climate perfectly and stands out against sweet, mass-market perfumes.
Highly addictive scent, the combo of citrus with blackcurrants and tea is a wonder, with the transparency of ingredients that always characterises Creed. That is what hooks me with the brand, the crystal-clear transparency of its ingredients. As for performance, not only does it give me no problems, but over time it has improved (perhaps due to maceration). The reality is that at first I sprayed more, but now with fewer sprays I get 8-9 hours where I clearly perceive the fragrance. At a restaurant table, my partner sitting opposite could smell it perfectly. I say again, I have no performance problems with any of the Creeds I own. That is why I continue to increase the collection.
I feel angry at the little pull of the wool that the house Creed gave me 😡 when the scent almost disappears; you need to concentrate and press your nose well to perceive it. I don’t understand why the high price, I understand it is a high-quality perfume but its performance is extremely mediocre, even Nautica Voyage lasts and projects more.
If hand soap costs €10 here, Creed charges you €295 for the scent. Many thanks, Creed.
🤍Creed Silver Mountain Water: ‘The freshness that accompanied me from my beginnings’. This perfume marked my history within perfumery from a very young age. I discovered it curiously through a clone and yet it seemed special to me. Despite the profile seeming familiar to me, it had something distinct that stayed in the mind. When I discovered what the original was, I went straight to try it and that was when the real crush was born. I remember going to El Corte Inglés and applying it when the assistants weren’t looking, that’s when my deep affection for this scent began. 🪄 Over the years I have used two bottles of clones and now that I can afford it I have the original. Although it is true that there are imitations that come very close, nothing smells exactly the same. The original has that shine, that particular metallic-aquatic touch that only Creed manages. Its price is not justified—I know—but the love I have for it is stronger than logic and it will ALWAYS have a place in my collection. 🍃 Green, citrus, energising. That kind of clean freshness that seems to come from an icy spring. A scent that gets you going. 👔 It is one of the perfumes that has accompanied me most in different stages. I use it from work meetings to a Sunday to disconnect or even to go to sleep, it is one of those scents you not only use but remember. 🕢 Longevity and projection: Moderate leaning towards low but clean and well-balanced. ⭐ Rating: Another 10/10, a personal classic.
For me, the best Creed perfume of the four I own and the one with the best performance. It lasts 8 hours without any problem, something that neither Aventus, nor Aventus Absolu, nor Green Irish Tweed manage. The only one I have no regrets about buying and am sure I will repurchase, because the scent is a delight. The tea note falls in love with me more every day; it already happened the first time I smelled Rain Essence, what a beautiful, peculiar, and little-used note. I still need to buy Millésime Imperial and Centaurus for my collection, because what a disappointment with the brand’s performance.
What can I say about an elegant and sober perfume in its opening? It doesn’t cloy at all, it is not a perfume that everyone will notice or with a great trail, quite the opposite. It is for you to feel it up close. Nothing smells exactly like this or like any Creed, there are many imitations but none is this. Simply an exquisite touch.
How can a perfume costing over $200 last so little? I arrive at the office at 8am, and by 10:30 or 11:00 I can’t even smell it on my skin… Disappointed.
This scent is quite rich for much of its evolution, with that rich citrus opening of bergamot and sweet mandarin, not excessively sweet or sour, but a very well-balanced point with petit grain, blackcurrants, and everything else. To have been created in the 90s, it feels very modern, youthful, yet mature, suitable for all ages and any season, especially in mild to warm weather.
Spectacular. What a pity that the longevity and projection are very low; when wearing it, you don’t feel like you’re wearing perfume, only occasionally perceiving a soft trail of the scent. But well, that was the idea Olivier Creed and Pierre Bourdon wanted to convey: a gentle breeze of Alpine freshness. It’s not bad, but beware before buying it, you will go through it very quickly.
After trying a whole load of fragrances, we settled on these three gems: My partner uses exclusively for work: Silver Mountain Water. Both of us use for outings and meetings: Loewe 7. And the official fragrance for holidays is the classic Tommy Hilfiger. 💑
Forget the spelling mistakes, but I must clarify something: Olivier Creed is not a nose and has not composed any perfumes, at least according to the book The Ghost Perfumer. He is a very astute person, I grant you, but he is not a perfumer. Pierre Bourdon is the one who actually composed all the Creeds that are attributed to him in part.
