Descripción
Dior Homme 2020 by Dior is a woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2020, this olfactory composition was created by François Demachy. Its top notes of bergamot, pink pepper, and elemi provide a vibrant and spicy opening. The heart reveals Atlas cedar, cashmere wood, and patchouli, adding warmth and depth. Finally, the base notes of Iso E Super, Haitian vetiver, and white musk close the olfactory pyramid with a silky and persistent elegance.

Excellent perfume, one of the most pleasant evolutions. The opening is 80% citrus and 20% wood; by one hour it’s 50/50; by three hours the wood dominates (75%); and by 5-6 hours it smells like super sexy, soft wood, nothing old. Ideal for the office or enclosed spaces, it doesn’t overwhelm but anyone who comes close will notice class and good taste. Longevity varies by batch; I use two bottles from different batches and recommend letting it macerate for a couple of months to notice the difference. Projection: 6, Longevity: 9, Scent: 9, Total: 8.
My new olfactory signature.
I own three batches of Dior Homme 2020, one from 2023, another from 2024, and a new 2025 edition with updated packaging. The new version has a different box (bee at the bottom) and cap (DIOR in uppercase), but the scent is identical across all of them.
For refined and elegant types who know what they want. No regrets, it’s one of those that makes you feel good and classy. Its versatility is the best point: a masculine, exquisite and moderate aroma, neither invasive nor synthetic. If you’re tempted, go for it, it’s worth it.
Woody and citrusy, very rich 🤤, perfect for a signature scent.
I’m surprised they say it doesn’t last. With just 3-4 sprays, it still smells strong after 10 hours. Those who can’t smell it are suffering from olfactory fatigue, but they should ask people around them if they can detect it.
Fresh, elegant and unique. I love it; I’d like a bit more longevity, though 4 hours is quite good.
Very good, lasts a long time on both skin and clothes. No regrets, 10/10, a super elegant aroma.
Oh my god, I’ve tried it several times: it’s a fresh woody scent and very sexy. Tremendous quality and lasts around 6-8 hours. It will definitely be my signature.
A top-tier fragrance, masculine and lasting 5-6 hours on the skin. Ideal for all day and any weather, with excellent quality.
An incredible fragrance, it denotes great character, seriousness and professionalism, perfect if you want to convey formality and leadership. The only drawback is its price, which is somewhat high, although the quality justifies it. Very citrusy opening, woody heart and musky base. It shouldn’t be missing from your collection if you want to convey that message of maturity and leadership. Highly recommended.
Definitely has that vibe of Aventus and Mancera’s DNA, fruity-spicy (in this case pure citrus), which over time becomes more woody and the spices (pepper) recede to the base. I like it much more than the other two options, but I’m thinking about buying the bottle due to the price and because it wouldn’t be my favourite aroma compared to others I truly love. It’s very masculine and versatile across climates, although it does tend to be somewhat elegant, so you’d always need to dress with a shirt, something decent or semi-formal would suffice. A fragrance for the office, events or private outings.
I bought it straight at launch by mistake, thinking it was a Dior Homme Intense, and well, I still have it today. The scent is rich, it doesn’t overwhelm the mind, although it’s quite discreet and elegant. Dior does things well, needless to say… I only have four from this line in my collection and it’s the only one I’d wear with a suit: the cologne being the most relaxed, the 2017 sport the most pampered and the first sport the most neutral.
It’s not a reformulation; it’s a completely different perfume from the DH 2005/11 (something that has become all too common with Dior).
The only thing I regret infinitely is not having bought it sooner; it’s an excellent fragrance for a mature man, totally imposing and elegant. Recommended for men over 30 and office environments as it’s nothing short of non-invasive. The opening is very citrusy and potent, the heart features woody notes, the base I believe has some leather, definitely vetiver and lots of musk. It will definitely not be missing from my collection.
The only drawback some might find is that it’s not identical to the original. It’s very good and lasts more than 7 hours; I don’t understand those who say it lasts less.
Sexy and sublime, it lasts a long time on my skin.
It’s a citrus-woody fragrance, ideal for the office. Good longevity, normal projection and it’s not invasive. If you’re an important person at work, this is the one for you.
I have no regrets about the purchase. It smells of seriousness, elegance and fine notes worthy of a Dior. Good longevity, good sillage and works for any season without overusing the sprays. Batch 2022.
Oh my god, the best perfume a man over 20 could wear to the office for a daytime meeting in formal or semi-formal attire. It works brilliantly in spring, autumn and winter during the day; while there are options that shine more at night, if you have nothing else and need something for an evening meeting, this is also very suitable. In terms of longevity, I’d say 5-6 hours, after which olfactory fatigue sets in.
Woody beauty… that opening of pink pepper is gorgeous, although bergamot predominates, one of my favourite fragrances… very sophisticated and formal, I think it’s not for everyone… not too youthful, certainly not for under 25s, although of course, the world of perfumes is subjective… I see it for special occasions. I also have quite an affection for it; the day I met my in-laws, I arrived full of fake nerves with my girlfriend. It was time, and at that moment, Dior Homme 2020 was with me, me dressed semi-formal. I walked into the kitchen with them just a few minutes before eating… I could smell the perfume subtly on my neck and arms, it gave me great confidence… it’s a winner’s perfume.
I’ve loved it, despite not having anything to do with the powerful iris of its predecessor. But what strikes me is that no one has said it’s a direct rival to Bleu and Allure de Chanel. In fact, without being an expert nose detecting the most hidden nuances, for me it’s almost identical to Bleu, if you wanted to give Bleu a slightly more adult touch and less teenage. Besides, having better performance than this. Does anyone else think it’s a final scent, after drying, a twin brother?
I remember the hate it received upon release; it taught me that you shouldn’t trust comments, people let themselves be swept away by emotions. The only possible complaint is that it didn’t resemble their beloved Dior Homme (which I also own and love). I hope everyone who criticised it for not being what they wanted has accepted that it’s a fantastic perfume. I even ended up owning three of them, haha. Haters!
I own over 50 perfumes, including the entire Dior Homme line, and this is my favourite. It’s addictive to smell, just like the Intense.
Excellent proposal from Dior (one misses the original Dior Homme and the brand doesn’t help with the mess of names it made with the line). It’s a perfume that opens with a very citrusy and sharp opening, reminding me a lot of Terre d’Hermès EDT, it has strong peppercorns in the style of Dior Sauvage EDT but instead of going towards a versatile amber side, they turn towards strong woodiness; that mix of Iso E Super with cedar woods makes it a quintessential masculine cocktail. When people tell me they like woody fragrances, this is what I imagine. In terms of performance, it lasts like an EDT, 5-6 hours with medium to strong projection (what we’re used to from Dior). I also sense a mix of tea with resins, that in the heart of the fragrance which generally combines well and makes it a great option for spring, summer and autumn; I think it could be something weak or boring in winter. Good choice as a woody fragrance but I recommend not buying blindly. 😉 -Scent: 8/10 -Projection: 8/10 -Longevity: 7/10
I think it’s important to give more opportunities to fragrances, especially if they’re so well-known. Take Dior Homme, for example; it didn’t say much to me, except its similarity to Bleu de Chanel EDT. I tested it several times, I liked it but it didn’t convince me to buy it back then (around 2021). Then I bought one from the ’23 batch, but I noticed it was weak, so I exchanged it for the Sport with outstanding performance. FORGIVE ME, DIOR HOMME. Forgive me for not valuing you at the time. Today it’s my signature scent, the one that gives me confidence and with which I want to be identified. The last time this happened was with Sauvage EDT, but that’s a closed chapter. Relevant but not too important note: it’s the most praised in my modest collection, followed by CH and Sauvage EDT. Please, return to Dior Demachy!
My girlfriend gifted me this perfume after finding it in Liverpool, and from the very first moment, it captivated me. It’s a scent that impresses and leaves a mark, a true winner. I especially enjoyed it during a successful phase of my work project, and every application evoked that feeling of achievement and confidence. I hope I can find it again and relive the excitement that accompanied every outing with Michelle.
It smells delicious, but it fades in the blink of an eye. I highly doubt it’s original.
Is it a great perfume or a perfume for distinguished gentlemen? Sorry, lads, stay away. It’s not original and doesn’t invent anything, yet it captivates in a very special way. It’s not love at first sight; it smells great at first, but what matters is that it leaves a lasting impression over the days. It’s the typical perfume where if a girl smells you once, she’ll say it’s nice, but if she sees you every day at the office or waiting for the tube, she’ll end up falling in love with this scent. It’s very masculine and classic, zero unisex, and hard to see on a young man. Why does everyone criticise its opening? It pleased them, but they didn’t like the name. I don’t know if Dior intended to stop selling the original or just rename it ‘Dior Homme Original’ to give its name to this one. Either way, Dior didn’t need to do that. They could have called it ‘Dior Man’ and everyone would have gone mad trying it. It’s a scandal almost as big as the one they pulled with Dior Homme Parfum by labelling Paquito’s abomination with that name. Anyway, don’t mix apples and oranges. This perfume didn’t get hate for how it is, but for being another dark spot in Dior’s marketing history, one of the worst brands in terms of marketing ever.
Hello, I hope you are well. I am giving my opinion on this fragrance in itself, without entering into the controversy of the Dior Homme ‘Original’ which I never tried. I love it, it shines for its simplicity and ingredient quality. It is woody, with sweet, fresh and slightly earthy touches. On my skin it reminds me of Terre d’Hermes EDT and Bleu de Chanel Parfum, but they are not the same. I bought it a couple of weeks ago for a good promotion; I had tried it on the way out and liked it, but didn’t buy it until now. Its charm is the play of contrasts between fresh, sweet and dry, creating an exquisite and unpretentious experience. It is extremely versatile for climates, except extreme cold where it would lose a bit. Dior Homme 2020 does not stand out for imposing force, but for highlighting the wearer. It is excellent, it combines the classic with the modern and the subtle with the powerful. A hug from Argentina and see you next time.
It starts spicy and robust, then dries down to something as clean as a primary school classroom, with that distant, fresh sawmill vibe (in a good way). It’s masculine, innocent and harmless; it doesn’t seek attention, it just wants to be there. I see it as a cologne with an old money elegance aura. You won’t smell it from afar, and at a party other scents will overpower it, but if someone is right next to you in a club, that clean scent could stand out amongst the loud amber, bergamot, pineapple and caramel. Unfortunately, it’s not my style. Is it good? Yes, more than enough, but it’s not for me. It’s for someone who has everything figured out and doesn’t need to move around.
I love it, it smells citrusy like a cold yellow lemonade with a resinous touch, woods and clean skin with something not spicy that highlights the cleanliness, I suspect it is pink pepper. It lasts well. It may seem generic but it is complex and of great quality.
A fragrance that went from being a postponed like to one of my top three. When I tried it I thought of Bleu EDT, due to the woody base and the citrus opening that smells more like grapefruit than lemon or bergamot. It is another blue fragrance, in addition to Sauvage EDT and EDP. I was surprised by the compliments. It also reminds me of Terre due to the vetiver, but it is more versatile. In my opinion it is better than the Sport. Regarding performance, it has worsened since 2023; I have one from 2023 and another from 2021/2022. Highly recommended blind, but it leans towards formal and with the character of a mature man. Disclaimer: I don’t know what ‘clean white woods’ is, it smells like what YouTubers say. Merry Christmas and blessings.
I bought this Dior after avoiding it for 5 years. I think I should have continued avoiding the line, as I already have the Intense and the Sport. The 2021 version is a beast, but this one doesn’t last on me at all. It is a 2025 batch of 150ml with a painful longevity. I would recommend the Sport more, which is a beast in longevity for a citrus. Perhaps Francis ruined the line and the good work of Demachy. What a pity.
Top perfume. It has class and category, ideal for any occasion. On my skin it smells of white woods with a very striking brightness. It projects and lasts a long time. It is super versatile for all year round and will never let you look bad.
It is my fragrance for everyday wear and it is more than satisfactory. Clean, richly woody and not invasive. It doesn’t have a very wide sillage or excessively long longevity, but it fulfils its function as the best.
I have to say again something that seems ridiculous. I went to the Dior store to try it and they sprayed it twice; what did it smell like? A cologne. Yes, a cheap fresh wood cologne. Next to it was another sprayed bottle and me with my perfume; both were noticeable more than this perfumed water from a “luxury brand” called Dior and their fragrances have gone from bad to worse since Francis Kurkdjian arrived. It even seemed counterfeit, the scent came off the skin without projection and vanished in an hour; I can’t stop being amazed by this brand. I tried it in 2020 and five years have passed; either they reformulated it to death or I don’t know how they sell perfumes that smell like colognes. Even the scent is basic to death, but what amazing perfume are they talking about? If Dior Homme Sport lasts three times longer and projects more than this. It’s as if a citrus musk with wood never existed. And without being bad, it is far from being a great perfume, at least the performance leaves it on the floor. When it launched I also tried it and it lasted six hours with a woody scent, but what I was sprayed with today (by the Dior staff) seems calamitous. I used to be a fan of the brand but now Guerlain, Chanel, Prada and Hermès seem superior in perfumery.
I wish it were my signature for life, but I’ve already finished 50ml in half a year 🙁
I loved that it had no sweet notes at all; it is dry from start to finish. To be honest, it reminds me of the ambient smell of a hospital, more exactly a doctor’s office, that aroma of medicines and freshly washed laundry that very few would like on their skin. I love it.
Brutal fragrance. Rich and seductive, just like the 2021 Sport. I won’t compare versions, discuss longevity, iris notes or reformulations: it is spectacular. Slightly heavier than the Sport, but they smell very similar and both are sensational. Extremely high quality, very addictive. I recommend them hugely, although it would be redundant to own both as the scent is very similar with subtle differences. Smells of seduction and quality, it gives you character, energy and confidence. But watch out… it’s not for the beach. If you wear it, the perfume will demand you dress elegantly.
