It’s a very natural and bright citrus that lasted me a long time—eight hours on the skin, which is rare for this type of fragrance. I’m not a citrus lover, but I must say it’s linear and charming. It gives a very pleasant, easy-to-wear sense of freshness and cleanliness; it’s not a citrus that overwhelms despite being linear. The first hour, its sillage is delightful and earns compliments, then it returns to the skin without losing that bright, clean energy. I expected to smell something like soap due to the musk, but that’s not the case, nor does it feel powdery. Although it’s for hot days, I use it in different climates, moments and with excellent results.
If you try it, don’t let the first few minutes fool you; wait about 30 minutes and you’ll notice what this perfume truly is. Elegant and simple… it doesn’t need more. There’s a principle that applies to almost everything: ‘if it’s simple, make it perfect, and if it’s complex, make it understandable.’ On the skin, it projects moderately and lasts eight hours, but it stays on my skin almost for a full 24 hours. On clothes, it projects for nearly 10 hours and is detectable for more than 24. Perhaps it doesn’t perform the same for everyone, but for me, it’s one of my favourites.
I bought this blindly based on recommendations from some YouTubers. While I don’t dislike it, it wasn’t quite what I expected; the longevity on my skin leaves much to be desired. The opening is a medium-toned lemon; if you love citrus, you might adore it. What I like is the dry-down: simple, with that synthetic musk note at the base, but it really smells clean and pleasantly subtle.
A jewel of exclusivity and simplicity. It opens with penetrating green citrus, but then a relaxing white floral note emerges. It takes time to dry down, and that’s when a pleasant, velvety vegetal musk appears; even at this stage, the citrus, without the initial sillage, remains effervescent, and the subtle floral note also shines. A good fragrance to relax and get energised at the same time.
One of my favourites: aroma, quality, bottle, presentation—it covers so many points for me with a 10, speaking of spring-summer fragrances. Opens with lemon, a sweet-sour lemon, like a lemonade. That opening lasts 1–2 hours with great projection. If you apply 5–6 sprays, you might feel suffocated by that citrus, but once it dries down, it becomes much friendlier. It’s a white floral with a slight musk, suitable for day and night as long as it’s warm. To me, it has a slight resemblance to Starwalker, but obviously with better quality, swapping the metallic tangerine and leather for lemon, floral, musky and dry.
Few perfumes generate serotonin like this Dior. Every time I feel down or lack motivation, I spray my arm and my mood changes instantly. It’s a revitalising, energetic and bright aroma. Plus, it has a sexy, sharp citrus that clears the way for only good feelings. I use this and feel like Jason Statham on his worst day, facing whatever comes his way.
Perfect. My favourite for summer. As others say, it’s energising, fresh, simple and elegant. I wish it lasted longer like winter perfumes, but it’s brilliant as a fresh scent.
What a lovely blend, so simple yet exquisite. You can truly tell the quality of the ingredients.
What a pity they’ve reformulated it; it’s a delicious citrus, smelling of fresh lemon and very similar to Mancera Lemon Line. Ideal for hot days, though it fades in the cold. In my opinion, it has nothing to do with Zara Summer VL; that one is sharp, whereas this Dior is citrusy, slightly sweet and elegant. Dior is Dior, worth having even if it doesn’t last more than three hours.
Brutal projection, and it behaves beautifully on the skin. I’ve had this for three or four years and I’m going to buy it again; I tested it in Liverpool and I’m still head over heels for the scent.
Fresh and citrusy fragrance for warm seasons. Lemon aroma, very refined (it is Dior). Poor projection and longevity.
It lives up to its name ‘cologne’ completely. Very simple but incisive composition. Perfect for a meeting by the pool, with friends, and in the heat; with its scent, I crave some well-chilled margaritas. I had high expectations and they were all met; the only downside is the longevity, very little, effectively 3 to 4 hours.
Explosive opening, astringent if applied below 30 degrees; it even made me sneeze 🤧. I don’t have much experience with fine fragrances, but it stands out from other designer ones in terms of composition quality; it’s not linear, and I feel the more I sweat, the more it projects. Good performance from this cologne; my 2021 batch was very nice.
Exquisite citrus, simple yet refined aroma; I think having few notes makes it a fragrance for personal enjoyment. Pity its poor projection; it lasts longer on clothes.
Smells delicious; I discovered it while looking for something fresh with floral and citrus notes, with nothing marine, and GOD MY, what I found was celestial. At first, it smells like natural citrus, as if you were dabbing your nose with bergamot juice; it smells good but nothing special comes out. The magic begins after 20 minutes when a slight floral aroma emerges, the same experience: it smells NATURAL, as if you had petals on your nose. That floral note adds a soft, divine touch to the citrus juice, increasing its dimension and starting to smell more like a flower, all with a clean, sterile, white base. I visualise it as if a flower were born on sterilised cotton while bergamot juice rains on it; the more the flower grows, the less bergamot remains. If the sky had a scent, it would be this: fresh, addictive, and something I’ve never smelled before. WOW, I think it could be one of my favourites.
I bought it looking for something citrusy and different, and my disappointment was tremendous. On my skin, it doesn’t last more than two hours; on clothes, it lasts a bit longer. The trail is minimal, almost imperceptible. I don’t recommend it; the price doesn’t justify the quality. It’s a very cheerful citrus scent that doesn’t change, pure lemon, but it lasts minutes. A hundred times better and almost identical alternative is Allure de Chanel Edition Blanc.
I like it, but it reminds me of lemon dishwashing soap.
Honesty, in my opinion, it’s the best fragrance for the heat. It has class, cleanliness, and a very natural aroma. The simplicity of this fragrance is incredible.
A fantastic fragrance, one of the best for summer; it smells delicious and could be my signature for hot days. I’d be happy with that. Regarding longevity, it’s not bad, but in my case, it fades to skin-level from the second hour, though I might still enjoy it greatly. It suits both informal and formal occasions, and you’ll smell luxurious… provided the price doesn’t seem prohibitive. If so, I understand that Zara has very similar perfumes which might be worth exploring.
Smells incredibly generic; all the YouTuber hype is exaggerated. It’s not a true cologne, and if it were, it wouldn’t be in the top 100. It’s a summer fresh scent with a burst of bergamot lasting four or five hours, but at a very short distance. Is it bad? No, it doesn’t even fail for lack of complexity. Is it good? No, it’s not enough. For summer, there are better, cheaper options like L’Eau D’Issey Miyake, Prada L’Homme L’Eau, or Montblanc Starwalker. It lacks the necessary Mediterranean herbs even as a cologne, though it’s lightyears above Acqua di Parma, Creed Pure White, or the discontinued Gentleman Cologne by Givenchy. If you want a citrus EDT and don’t mind spending 20€ more than necessary, it’ll do.
How simple, yet how beautiful at the same time. Citrus, grapefruit flower and musk. Totally unisex. Ideal for summer. Elegant, discreet, refreshing. It’s like opening a cold 7Up. It doesn’t stand out for its performance. I would say it’s more for enjoying oneself or in brief occasions. I would buy it again, as while there are similar options, this one has something that makes it unique.
From the very first moment I couldn’t stop smelling it for that super fresh and special aroma. It’s simple in the declared notes, but its citrus opening from the bergamot is beastly, very rich. Also, I feel the fragrance is potentiated with more heat. As a negative point, perhaps it doesn’t have the best longevity, but it depends on each person’s skin for the scent to last more or less. It may be expensive, but for me it is one of the fragrances I always wanted in my collection.
Impeccable fragrance, fresh, simple and delicious. For summer afternoons, linen dresses, cotton, pastel colours or flowers. It denotes kindness, joy, sincerity or innocence. In my opinion, a woman can wear it perfectly too and give it its own character.
With this fragrance I felt I had finally found MY FRAGRANCIA, what I was looking for. Something citrusy, with a slight sweet and floral touch. An elegant yet intimate fragrance that makes you feel good. Wonderful.
Dior Homme Cologne has slowly become an essential in my collection. How can such a simple composition smell so good? I don’t know, but Francois Demachy made it possible. It’s fresh, revitalising, cheerful. Projection is medium leaning towards low, but on my skin it has good longevity; I perceive it without effort throughout the day.
This perfume brings me memories of a trip to the San Andrés islands. As a citrus, it has quite acceptable behaviour in the heat. The issue is that it lacks masculinity; I never received a compliment wearing this.
I fell in love with Dior Homme Cologne, so simple and perfect. A cheerful aroma, boyish, not sexy at all. Good longevity, projects a lot but without being invasive. I prefer it for spring.
One of the most natural citrus scents perceivable in designer perfumes. I don’t know the 2022 formula, so I can’t speak on that version. The beauty lies in the simplicity and the quality of the aroma. They’ve said it all: it smells of green lemon, its peel, and orange blossom. I agree with those who say it intensifies or revives with heat or body humidity. I have a batch from 2013 and after 11 years, the quality of the aromatic chemicals is almost intact. A collector’s item if you come across this discontinued one.
A pity, on my skin it doesn’t last more than an hour and a half; if I sweat, it disappears even sooner. The solution was to apply it more to clothes than skin, but as it is so soft, the fabric softener eventually kills the scent after a while. Mmm, it’s difficult. It’s a great perfume, delicious, and just by smelling it you understand why it fades so quickly. It’s a matter of knowing how to wear it: straight out of the shower or coming in and out of the gym. But for going out… when you reach your destination, you won’t be projecting anything. This is totally a personal treat.
Pleasant? Yes, quite so. Minimalist? Absolutely. Versatile for spring and summer? Definitely. Ingredient quality? Excellent. However, be aware that I know many citrus fragrances at nearly half the price that compete hand-in-hand with it. Is the scent common? Yes, and its longevity isn’t its strongest point. Is it worth the price? For me, no. It’s respectable if you use it as a summer workhorse and find it indispensable, I understand why, but I preferred to go for the 5oz Fico di Amalfi from Acqua di Parma. It’s niche at designer prices (not similar, mind you!), I liked it more, it lasts longer on my skin, and the ingredient quality is equal or better. A good bet from Dior with this Cologne, but I prefer to look towards their Privée collection.
They lent it to me for a few days and… even being quite blunt, it smells like a well-chilled Sprite. It lasts about three hours with all its might, but only three hours. It is very lovely; for summer it must be one of the best I have ever felt. What a pity regarding the price; I do not think I can afford to buy it, but the experience of having tried it indicates to me that it is another level of freshness and component quality.
Simple, tasty, elegant, expensive. I am about to compare it with a very well-known Adolfo Domínguez one since I have tried it; I will return to tell you…
It presents itself as a fresh, sunny morning with a view of a field of white flowers and citrus trees emitting their subtle aroma. An entry somewhat poetic, but it is the inspiration it gives you when you perceive it. The dry-down is a soft, slightly sweet and powdery musk. You cannot ask for more than four hours. The first two hours are its prime, with the first being the best. It does not seek to invade with its brief projection; rather, it aims to enchant the person near you with your aura of white cleanliness and class. I consider it fits the old money style perfectly. Here they are…
I have always enjoyed complex perfumes, like most people who have been in this magnificent world for years; I love mysterious, novel, timeless aromas that propose something new. Yet, despite all that, this composition by Master Demachy is madness. Yes, it declares only three notes, and the truth is it needs nothing more in terms of aromatic quality. Simple but perfect, Dior quality in every sense. A fresh aroma with a very natural bergamot. I love it; on days where the heat surpasses all limits, this perfume saves the day. The only thing I regret is the performance, but well, sometimes we sacrifice natural aromas and make them synthetic just to last longer and keep the customer happy. Here, it does not have good longevity, but nothing a good reapplication cannot fix. For me personally, 10/10. Simple and perfect, a refreshing lemonade. 100% unisex.
One of the freshest I have tried, with a very pleasant citrus that lasts around five hours.
A delicious, modern perfume, a very realistic lemonade. Ideal for summer, very refreshing. It is for the masses, very simple and offends no one; perhaps that is its flaw. I do not recommend buying it due to its terrible performance, what a pity. Dior Eau Sauvage Cologne has better longevity and projection, being a more challenging, complex, and gentlemanly scent, for older gentlemen.
A lemonade scent, exquisite. The best cologne I have ever tried. Ideal for a day at the beach or pool. Its longevity is not good at all, however, I believe it is worth having in the collection for its aroma.
A classic Dior citrus fragrance. Totally unisex for me. Clean and fresh, ideal for summer. It lacks nothing and has nothing superfluous. Excellent.
A fine and sophisticated perfume for summer or spring; its use is not overwhelming or irritating. A soft and delicate fragrance suitable for work or in enclosed spaces. It is predominantly citrus but, in my opinion, very expensive. I only bought it to try one of Dior’s offerings and was fortunate that it was exquisite.
My favourite cologne. A exquisite citrus that’s a joy to wear, very fine and delicate. Beautiful. Unfortunately, due to its poor longevity and projection, it has limited uses; it’s unlikely anyone will notice it more than an hour and a half after application. Beyond that, regarding the fragrance itself, it is lovely; its charm lies in its simplicity.
