  • Tested the new bottle at El Corte Inglés, with ‘Intense’ at the bottom. Nothing has changed. As I expected…

  • Today I tried the new one at Douglas and the old one at Primor. I’m no expert, but I can tell the fragrance has been simplified and lost its punch. Half an hour in, the new version on my skin feels flimsier with less leather, whereas the old one remains intact and lovely. I’ve bought the old one from Primor, the one I could actually afford; luck in misfortune. Perhaps I’m mistaken due to a lack of experience, but just in case…

  • Same scent, though it feels less strong as it needs time to mature. I see no changes in the Intense… People are just talking nonsense.

  • @Xulin, I think you might have confused this with Dior Homme Parfum. This is Dior Homme Intense and costs 110 euros for 150ml. They say the formula is identical, only the bottle has changed. The 75ml format simply doesn’t exist in this case.

  • I tried the 2025 version (with ‘Intense’ on the body of the bottle) and the scent is almost identical to the previous one. It still maintains that powdery iris as the main note, plus ambrette musk and a woody base. The only difference is the previous one smelled a bit more of lavender than this new one. Longevity is similar, around 8 to 9 hours. The trail is noticeable, detectable from a metre away. Those who feared a major reformulation can rest easy; the difference is almost imperceptible.

Intense iris and very strong leather. A disagreeable smell for my taste. The leather fades with time and it ends up similar to Dior Homme.

  • Lobo_Estepario

It’s practically the same as the previous one; if you put one on each hand, you couldn’t tell them apart. Don’t go crazy buying backups of the previous version because, unlike the Parfum, it’s not worth it with this one.

  • Tested the 2025 version (with ‘Intense’ on the bottle body): smells almost identical to the previous one. Still features the powdery iris, ambrette musk, and woody base. The only difference is that the old one smelled a bit more of lavender, at least the one I tried at the end of 2024. Longevity is similar, around 8-9 hours. The trail is noticeable, detectable from a metre away. Those who feared a major reformulation can rest easy; the difference is almost imperceptible.

  • Another Dior from the Homme family that they’ve ruined. The change isn’t as drastic as with the Parfum, but it lasts less and is simpler. I’ve stockpiled the previous version well and it will be my last purchase in this line. It was a pleasure, but that’s it. What a shame.

  • I have the DIH 2011 (batch July 23) and the 2025 (January 25) and they are identical. I can’t see any difference. Update: It’s surreal that there are 57 votes against it reminding the 2011 when they are exactly the same.

  • The iris smells like women’s makeup and makes no sense on a man, unless you want to smell like her. Plus, the opening is brutally strong on iris. For me, it’s impossible.

  • If you buy the Dark Door Intense, you save over 100 euros; it smells just like the Dior but better because it’s not as overpowering.

A perfume not for everyone. It’s for a characterful and mature audience, I would say, from 40 years upwards. The touch of iris smells like women’s makeup (lipstick, foundation, eyeshadow, etc.) and can cause rejection in many people. I recommend trying it first. Personally, I like it, but it doesn’t drive me wild. I prefer Givenchy’s Reserve Privé, far away. It’s totally winter. The quality of the perfume is excellent.

  • Although the notes have nothing to do with each other, this perfume on my skin is equal, identical, to Jean Paul Gaultier’s Ultramale.

  • For me, it’s practically the same fragrance but duller, with less iris, more cocoa, and a woody base. I’m not a fan of the original versions, but they didn’t disgust me. I prefer the 2020 EDT and subsequent versions which don’t feel so dowdy. This follows that line but not much. The bad thing is its performance is mediocre. It projects well for an hour and then only reaches an outstretched arm. On skin it lasts, but that’s not the same as projection. I don’t care if it lasts if I can’t enjoy it. I can’t be like a dog sniffing around looking for the scent. At the expected price, there should be better performance. It might be a good fragrance and I bought it for the price. Totally original, of course. The issue is its performance, poor or mediocre. This should fill a room for 30 minutes and then settle down to avoid saturation and demonstrate elegance. This is subtlety that costs a lot of money. One wants to be discreet, but not like this. You save money if you don’t want to smell of nothing or have people approach you. Even oneself cannot enjoy it by having to sniff every now and then. I don’t understand why they reformulate this line eternally. Better to create a separate version than obsessively change the previous ones.

  • It’s a very floral perfume with a citrus opening and a bit of iris, but as it develops, the full power of the iris comes out and gives a slightly tipsy smell, like tequila. At the base, it’s iris with very delicate cocoa. It smells quite good, nothing difficult. It may be because I have been around perfumes for a while, but what a beautiful scent. It doesn’t project much, but if it’s a jewel, it’s the scent.

This is, so far, the most beautiful iris I have ever smelled: intense, protagonist, yet with impeccable elegance. The musk appears as a clean, enveloping caress, silky, softening the power of the iris and giving it a velvety feel. Finally, the cedar adds a refined dryness that elevates the elegant character even further. It’s not for everyday wear; I reserve it for special occasions, and in that regard I feel it is more elegant than the 2025 Parfum. A purchase I would recommend without hesitation to anyone over 30.

  • I smelled it for the first time three months ago and fell in love. Although I tested it alongside the Parfum and chose Homme Intense, that powdery, made-up, and musky iris brought me sublime childhood memories. It creates a distinguished olfactive trail for great moments. It’s versatile, but special for unique occasions. It’s not a beast in projection or longevity: it has about an hour and a half of light projection before settling close to the skin, subtle, mysterious, and dusty, especially with movement. On my skin, it lasts about six hours; afterwards, it’s hard to find. Although I wish it lasted longer, I would buy it again.

  • Today I finally tried it. The opening and first half-hour don’t work in its favour: it literally smells like your mum’s makeup bag. That marked iris is hard to imagine on someone young or looking for something ‘masculine’. The dry-down is another matter: it feels sweet, a perfect sweet, powdery, soft yet masculine. Sadly, after three or four hours, it’s only detectable close to the skin. It was a complete experience; I enjoyed it, but I don’t think its price is justified.

  • The Dior Homme Intense 2025 brings its typical buttery, powdery iris, more enveloping and carnal than in other brands. Here, the opening smells less of pear than before, while the powdery iris remains the core. From the start, it smells elegant and deep, with a rich, tactile, and creamy iris. It evolves clearly: the iris gradually gives way to something sweeter and darker, like soft cocoa, probably with ambrette and an amber base. It’s not a cloying sweetness, but one that integrates naturally. That transition is its greatest success: moving from refined elegance to a warm, addictive depth. It shines at elegant evenings and when well-dressed, but also works well as a signature with casual or sport wear, if you like the profile. In heat, only for soft summer nights and a few sprays, as it can be too much with high temperatures. It’s more about sillage than projection: it doesn’t invade, but leaves a mark. Performance is excellent. Projection is brief, about two hours; then it retreats to a personal bubble until the sixth hour, when it moves to skin-level and is noticeable until the eighth. In character, it’s sensual, elegant, deep, and sweet.

  • I knew nothing about old formulas or comparisons, nor that this new Dior Homme Intense was raising such passions. But today I asked a girl what perfume she was wearing and she said it was this (the reformulated one). It left a monumental, wonderful trail, with such a beautiful iris and unisex vibe. This cannot fail to please anyone. I don’t know about longevity, but in the air it clings like a limpet. If you smell like this, you instantly come across as likable.

For those who say it’s identical to the previous version, they are right and wrong at the same time. I knew the 10950/A version until mid-2023; since then, the 18048 with the new bottle has arrived. To be honest, it feels weaker and lighter. The DNA is there; they didn’t do to it what they did to Dior Homme Parfum, but it lacks that punch. Perhaps that makes it more accessible for those not so familiar with iris.

Oh dear, oh dear, it seems they deleted the review I took time to write. The language was genuine and measured, concise and objective. But since they took the trouble to delete it, here is a direct, rough, and unfiltered version: if boredom and simplicity had a scent, it would be Dior Homme Intense 2025. It’s frankly insipid, iris with talc, and not an elegant iris, but one that smells of old, rancid makeup, forgotten in some grandmother’s handbag. It was my first time with the Dior Homme line, and to be honest, it’s disappointing. I tried it, I don’t own the bottle, and still, I say I wouldn’t recommend it. Buying this is, simply put, throwing money away. That’s my opinion. I don’t know if they delete based on voting or an admin, but that’s not right. These spaces are for real experiences, not for censoring opinions that don’t fit. I was respectful before. If they delete again, I’ll publish it again, don’t worry, it’s saved.

  • It smells like lipstick, but an old, stored one. I expected something elegant, inviting, and more masculine. I finished with my wrist smelling of old lipstick.

Well, well, it seems they deleted the review I took time to write. The language was genuine and measured, concise and objective. • It smells like lipstick, but an old one, like it’s been stored away. I expected something elegant, inviting, and more masculine. I ended up with my wrist smelling like old lipstick.

  • I haven’t tried the old version, but this one leaves no one indifferent. It smells of iris to the max; the opening is like a bombshell; some will adore it, others won’t, but it’s impossible not to notice. Ideal for special occasions that make a statement. In my case, those around me loved it immensely.

This is one of those fragrances I regret not buying sooner; it’s simply wonderful. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get hold of one from 2011, but the 2025 version is totally worth it. If you like the iris note, it’s for your collection; otherwise, there are others with a less marked iris like Velvet Iris by Essential Parfums. It’s a shame Dior reformulates everything, yet they remain good, but the previous ones have a magic hard to find in other commercial scents. Still, it’s worth it if you want something that makes you noticed wherever you go. Performance: very good projection and heavy trail. Longevity: believe me, it lasts until the next day on skin and clothes; I guarantee it will still be there even after washing.

  • JohnLecter86

It’s one of those fragrances I regret not grabbing sooner; it’s simply incredible. Pity I missed the 2011 version, but the 2025 edition is worth every penny. If you love iris, it’s a must-have; if not, try Velvet Iris by Essential Parfums. What a shame Dior reformulates everything, yet they remain good, even if the old ones had a rare charm you won’t find in other commercial scents. Still, it’s worth it if you want to stand out wherever you go. Projection and sillage are excellent, and the longevity… believe me, it clings to your skin and clothes until the next day, even after washing.

  • A genuine disappointment. After an hour and a half, only a faint scent remains on the skin and little else. I don’t understand why people claim it lasts.

Hello, I haven’t tried the 2007 and 2011 versions, but I have used this one with batch 2022 and recently replaced it with a 2025 batch (5J02, Sept-2025). It’s the same fragrance with identical performance and scent. Any differences are minimal and undetectable, perhaps due to bottle oxygenation or slight component variations, but they are effectively the same. I recommend buying it if you are a fan and not paying a premium for older versions, as it makes no sense. I don’t know if the 2007 and 2011 versions changed, but with this 2025 release, I have no complaints compared to the batches I’ve used since 2020. It’s not like Dior Homme Parfum 2025, which is a completely different scent; here there is no substantial variation. It’s the same polarising, exquisite fragrance for me, with that sublime buttery iris that generates controversy. There is no new Kurkdjian hand behind it. The haters of DHI will still be terrified and will continue to say it smells like grandma. We need to stop the rumour that it was reformulated and doesn’t last; the only beneficiaries are the resellers of old batches who are inflating prices without justification. The bottle and box were modernised in 2025 and don’t seem to be discontinued. In the 2025 bottle, the Intense is separated below the Dior Homme, whereas previously they were all together at the top. The 2007 and 2011 versions changed the bottle shape slightly more. Cheers.

I regret not buying the previous version, although I admit this isn’t bad at all. It’s true that the iris loses prominence, but it’s still there. The longevity remains beastly, over eight hours, and it shows: elegant, sophisticated, seductive and mysterious all in one. I think it’s the perfume every man should have by label; if you have it in your collection and know how to wear it, it’s a trump card. It’s totally worth it.

  • aramftora

There’s a drastic drop in the quality of the iris in this new formula. The last batches from 2011 were already a bit thin, but at least you could tell the ingredients were good. Here, it’s a blatant cut to save money; the iris from before seemed to cost them more…

  • Rich opening with strong projection for the first half-hour, but the performance is terribly poor and almost disappointing. It smells identical to JPG Le Male at the start. By 1h30 it’s skin-scent only, and by 3 hours it’s imperceptible. Designer houses give far too little compared to the Arab fragrances I prefer, which have been dominating the market for some time. I feel these 150 dollars went straight down the drain.
