  • What a brilliant dupe Kiko Milano has come up with, the makeup shop we all know in Spain. It has the same olfactory notes. Holiday Première L’Étoile White Kiko Milano was last year’s one, and this year they’ve brought it back with another name but the same notes. It’s the low-cost version if you like the original. You can detect the almond, coconut, plum notes… It’s very similar to the real thing.

I don’t know why the bitter chocolate note isn’t suggested: it’s delicious, like bringing a tray of cajeta with you. It’s something very rich, like scandalous bonbons, because it lasts a long time without being cloying. I loved it.

  • I had high expectations due to the positive reviews, which outnumber the negative ones. However, when I smelled it in the shop, it disappointed me completely: it smells like putty or pure Play-Doh, nothing like what others described. Perhaps it’s one of those that smells better after letting it settle for a couple of months. Maybe I’ll be inspired to try it again later.

It’s an exquisite perfume, period. It’s an intense aroma that may not appeal to everyone. If you are 100% for sweet and characterful perfumes, buy it blind; it won’t fail. Otherwise, I recommend smelling it before risking it.

  • On my skin, it feels 90% coconut: one powdery, similar to ‘makeup smell’. The other 10% is vanilla with almonds. It’s very strong, with good longevity. Rich but it doesn’t drive me mad. An excellent dupe is Shakira Blush Kiss, which resembles it 95% (also in longevity).

  • Definitely an intense scent, not made for people with very sweet and floral tastes. I liked it a lot, but I don’t think it will suit me. I’m not upset if someone wants to gift it to me.

  • It’s the love of my life, after Olympea Legend. It smells of almond with an addictive vanilla. I would wear it every day and it’s one of the few perfumes I’d love for people to remember me by when they catch this scent.

  • The good thing is that it doesn’t smell too much like the original, which I hate (though I admire it). To me, it’s too theatrical and sweet. Although this Hypnotic Poison isn’t as heavy as it seems; the coconut lightens it and prevents it from being cloying. It’s a wild mix of vanilla and nuts, with super-sensual neroli and a violent jasmine from start to finish. That powdery nuance gives it a waxy shine that doesn’t suit me well. I don’t detect any fruity notes. Do I like it? No. Is it good? The original is better, although it doesn’t reach the depths of the Poison Girl flankers, which degrade the mother legacy to ignominy. I consider Hypnotic Poison not bad, given the offspring that came after. If you like vanilla and dramatic fragrances, it’s for you. If you like seducing four-legged creatures with a red rose in your mouth, it’s your perfume. I don’t know about the reformulation, but it scares me a bit, so I won’t even touch it with a bargepole: zero curiosity.

  • MacarenaMaira131

To sum up, from my nose it’s a floral with a very subtle vanilla and a barely perceptible hint of coconut. It’s like a coconut peeking through, but the flowers always dominate: neroli and jasmine.

  • I went to try it out and my boyfriend gave it a 6: it smells nice, but it lacks ‘stay’. I absolutely love it; I keep bringing my hand close to smell it again.

  • obsidian_girl

One of my favourite perfumes, it’s heavy, very sweet but spicy and spiced. I feel a lot of sandalwood, plum and almonds. It makes me feel sexy, bold and with lots of character, it also leaves a lot of trail and lasts a long time on the skin and clothes. It’s one of those perfumes that are felt from a distance and that have ‘something more’. That said, I wouldn’t recommend buying it blindly.

  • Well, I bought this perfume blindly because everyone said that if you like vanillas, it’s a safe purchase. On one hand, I like the scent a lot, I love gourmands and this smells of vanilla dessert with lots of liquor, super sweet. Now, I was a bit disappointed by its longevity and trail. I expected a bomb, but the truth is, it leaves nothing of a trail, lasts several hours but feeling very stuck to the skin. I think this is due to all the times it has been reformulated. Surely because it’s an EDT they made it softer, and more so because afterwards they launched the EDP version. For me, it’s a perfume that for this reason can be used at any time (except in summer).

  • adabarcelona

Honestly, who are you and what have you done with Dior? Come out from wherever you’re hiding because I’m launching myself at your throat. WHY REFORMULATE LIKE THIS?? I understand there are interests regarding ingredients and the ‘synthesis’ of molecules, leading to an olfactory dehumanisation. What a cursed day I read that HPoison smells like Play-Doh. I had the memory of my post-adolescence with this intoxicating and sensual perfume, and I thought: to Play-Doh… wow, what a notion. I went to the perfumerie to restock the second bottle after eons without seeing it, because it went viral and even Blanco shops used its clone. No, thanks. A few years ago I restocked after the avalanche, believing it would be the same. Ekidné. Play-Doh :___) Synthetic and with zero of the orgasmic essence it had before. People have the luck of not having a sensitive nose, or pff, that their tastes swim in the synthetic… But my nose detects what isn’t good. I’d almost prefer the EDP to this. They are different perfumes, but the trail of the old EDT intoxicated you and now it’s pitiful. Like in a famous sketch: ‘But it’s the same’ – ‘mmm, but it’s not the same’. Play-Doh and 70 euros to the bin. Does anyone want it?

  • I passed a shop and applied a little on my wrist. From the very first moment, I loved it: it’s elegant, youthful, and has a touch of coconut that catches the attention. The caraway was very noticeable at first and gave it a special touch. It’s a sexy perfume, perfect for the evening. The best thing was that, even after showering and more than 12 hours later, I could still smell it! In the end, it left a soft and elegant aroma, with vanilla and almonds that fascinated me. I’m going to buy it!

  • floresdepach

I really don’t understand if it’s a reformulation, if my sense of smell is damaged, or what, but the positive reviews make no sense to me. Twice in different years I tried it in perfumeries and both times I left with an absolute face of disgust. It doesn’t smell of vanilla, nor coconut, nor Play-Doh. It smells of burnt wire, melting tyre rubber, which is unbearable.

  • MelinaCereza

It wasn’t love at first sight; when I tried it, I thought: OH MY GOD, WHAT AM I BUYING? Then I fell completely in love, what an addictive and sexy vanilla. It doesn’t have a great longevity, but it’s an EDT, so it’s logical and I have no complaints. I loved it ♥

  • CitricaSoy

Since I read that it resembles Play-Doh, I can’t look at it the same way anymore.

  • Clara55555

I didn’t try it directly on my skin, so perhaps it’s not the same as on the atomiser box. But oh dear… I felt very disappointed; I was looking for something sweet and all I found was a liquid smelling of smoke, something sour and even earthy. Mind you, perhaps it’s due to sun exposure since it was a tester, or other factors. Maybe I’ll give it another chance.

  • juliaguilera

I don’t know why, but this perfume brings me memories of honeyed apples. I’ve always thought it sounded delicious, although I used to be frustrated that it barely registered on blotter paper; until, by instinct, I tried it on my skin and BOOM! Everything intensified. It won my heart instantly and went straight to my wishlist. Scent: 10/10. Versatility: for every day in winter, perhaps a 5/10. Performance: 8/10. Overall: 9/10. Would I buy it? Yes, in 50ml, although the deals on the 100ml bottle are tempting me.

  • My signature for a long time, combined with the lotion it creates a reaction on the skin that lasts for hours. People never ask what I’m wearing, but they come closer and feel how the aroma captures them. It is not for shy people or discreet situations. I am not going to discover how it evolves; every skin is a world. I don’t care if it has been on the market for years; surely seduction hasn’t been around longer? Only once someone said to me, half in anger: ‘it seems you have poison on your skin’. I love it.

  • I gave it to my girlfriend as her perfume had run out. Mamma mia, it smells so good; a guaranteed hit from my point of view.

  • A rich and powdery aroma with a very spiced vanilla, nothing synthetic. It has a very soft dry-down, as if it smelled clean after eight hours. On me, it lasts approximately twelve hours.

  • It was my signature for many years and the one I repurchased most often. I used it at 15 and I still use it at 30. I feel that over time they have reduced the intensity and longevity, as with many others, but it remains beautiful. It is gourmand without being cloying; the vanilla is very noticeable, followed by almond and sandalwood. Once I had dinner with my family and my uncle said: ‘there’s a smell of custard’ xD, it was me with my Hypnotic Poison. Yes, it smells of vanilla, but I don’t feel it smells like a little dessert (I don’t want to smell like a little dessert). I have been complimented greatly, especially by men. Unfortunately, my boyfriend doesn’t like it, which surprised me. I try to wear it alone, but I definitely use it less.

  • They only sprayed it on my wrists and arms. From the very first moment, the notes seemed horrible to me: I searched on TikTok and couldn’t see any presence. It smells like something very sweet mixed with strong, indcipherable notes. As it dried in the shop, the intensity dropped and it seemed like a children’s medicine, like cherry-flavoured menthol syrup. I couldn’t see myself wearing it on other areas and I don’t understand why it is recommended for passionate nights. The longevity is short and the sillage is small, though if it is for passion, it makes sense. I would never buy it; good thing I didn’t buy blindly.

In the midst of autumn-winter 2025, I am absolutely obsessed with this aroma of almonds bathed in exquisite vanilla. Just smelling it brings a smile to my face from ear to ear. I don’t understand those who say it smells like plasticine or ‘old’; every nose is a world, but this is a modern masterpiece for any age. If I had to choose just five perfumes, this would be number one. At first, you need to let it macerate for the magic to work; my four-year-old bottle is a gem. I wish I could smell the original version; I would die of temptation. It is my daily signature, simply incredible.

  • Rinascere.22

I find it too powdery when it dries. I bought it expecting a super-sweet fragrance for winter, but to be honest, it disappointed me quite a bit.

  • cuarentaydos

That perfume worn by someone who claims to be goth but, when you ask what they listen to, replies Taylor Swift.

  • Wlad Molina

The creamy Hypnotic Poison doesn’t play hide-and-seek. From the outset, coconut milk and fruits like plum and blackcurrant create a mouthwatering explosion that smells like scented cream on warm skin. In the heart, the white flowers don’t offer freshness, but pure texture: floral cream, not petals. As it dries, the deep vanilla joins a clean touch that avoids being cloying. It is elegant, opulent, and characterful, not for anyone seeking something light. Ideal for cool nights or intimate dates where you want to leave a mark. I give it an 8/10: it isn’t versatile, but it is unforgettable.

  • It’s not bad, but it has an intensity that doesn’t fully convince me, with a mix of notes that is a bit too much. At first, that fruity part is perceived; to me, it seemed more like pineapple and blackcurrants. On a difficult-to-distinguish base, where the almond is noticeable. The point is that this doesn’t convince me, and Poison Girl is much nicer; I think it has the almond combination much better achieved. Pure Poison also seems better to me.

  • I had huge expectations because I love its notes, but I must say it gave me nausea; they seem like rancid and old almonds. Perhaps the Sephora tester was in bad condition, otherwise I don’t understand the fame and fuss surrounding this perfume.

  • I don’t understand what has happened to me with this perfume. For months I loved it, it was on my wishlist, and whenever I could, I tested it in the shop… It was a fantasy. And suddenly one day I tested it and it started giving me nausea. Perhaps it is the almond, a note that is complicated for me. But it was noticing something I hadn’t noticed before and *bam*, goodbye. Recently I smelled it on a teenager entering the shop, and it got into my nose so much that it didn’t leave until I got home. A tragedy.

  • I have the eau de parfum and thought that, if it was so wonderful and the EDT had good reviews, I should have it. The fragrance is beautiful, sweet, and warm, but the longevity is a headache: at most an hour with a soft trail. The EDP lasts 8 hours intact; it is darker and more mature. This one has a youthful and innocent imprint. I like to have both, although my favourite is the EDP. I don’t think I will buy it again, especially because its Zara imitation lasts longer and smells the same.

  • Intense, sensual, and addictive. A perfect fragrance for a date in autumn or winter. I would just love for it to last longer.

  • TíaSarah77

A super intense and marked scent, strong and serious; it is not the typical sparkly scent for a delicate woman. It is more serious and mature. I do not recommend buying blindly because, as some say, the almond note is difficult and not for every nose. I recommend trying a decant first and then deciding whether to buy it in bulk.

  • This is my favourite perfume. It smells very sweet and romantic, as if I were in a Twilight saga movie. It also reminds me of the scented neutral vaseline that comes in a round pink jar. I don’t find the notes too strong, nor the almond issue mentioned by others; I suppose every skin is different.

  • Clari Soriano

I bought a decant to save money 💸 and the opening smells like medicine, then it fades and leaves a scent that feels attacked. If you thought it was super fruity and sweet because of the plum, coconut, and blackcurrant, don’t spend a penny. Perhaps if they had added some tonka bean, praline, or caramel, it would be closer to what is said on social media.

  • oliendobonito

A super sensual and sticky perfume with an air of mystery. Smells like a femme fatale: confident, characterful, and very clear about what she wants. She doesn’t try to please; she simply attracts. The vanilla, almond, and coconut notes create a creamy, balanced blend that is warm and seductive. The vanilla adds sweetness, the almond a touch of elegance, and the coconut something exotic without being tropical. Ideal for autumn and winter, it lasts around 10 hours and leaves an intense yet controlled trail. As its name suggests, it is a hypnotic poison for conquering and making an impression.
