Poison Girl Eau De Toilette by Dior, an oriental vanilla creation from the olfactive family launched in 2017 and designed for women, reveals its essence under the nose of François Demachy. The olfactive pyramid unfolds with top notes of glazed orange, bitter orange and lemon; a floral heart composed of orange blossom, neroli, Grasse rose and Damask rose; and a warm, sweet base formed by vanilla, caramel, tonka bean, heliotrope and cashmere.

I just smelled it and it’s delicious: citrusy, sweet and super delicate, with incredible fixative properties that I truly loved.
I just bought it. It’s a delicate delight; I liked the EDP but found it too strong, whereas this version won my heart more. After a few minutes on the skin, it leaves a delicious and subtle vanilla trail that makes you want to eat it, without being cloying. Super feminine and I’ve loved it immensely.
It’s just as lovely as the EDP, but this is the fleeting little sister: vivacious, sparkling and mischievous. The opening is semi-bitter and semi-sweet, like an orange with flashes of tonka bean that smells of acidic caramel. Then a cheerful jasmine emerges, bringing harmony without masking the sweetness. Sillage: 8/10, Longevity: 9/10.
Reminds me a lot of the EDP, but here the citrus shines at the start and fades quickly, leaving a dry freshness and that rich dessert note. As I adore the original, this didn’t disgust me at all; if the EDP felt too strong for you, give this EDT a try.
It sounds very similar to the EDP, but in the EDT the citrus appears at the start and passes quickly, leaving that dry freshness and the rich dessert scent just like the original. As I love the EDP, this didn’t displease me in the least. I recommend it if the EDP felt too strong for you.
I’ve just bought it. It’s a treasure among the Poisons. Nothing to do with the EDP. This version is delicate, sweet, and super feminine. The best part: the base notes.
I just bought it and it’s a treasure among the Poison line. Nothing like the EDP: this version is delicate, sweet and super feminine. The best part: the dry down.
Love at first sniff. I don’t know how the EDP will be, but the EDT is a wonder: sweet, aromatic, citrusy, and fresh. I adore it. It’s very well balanced; as I always opt for sweet perfumes, the citrus touch in Poison Girl doesn’t bother me; in fact, it balances perfectly with the sweetness. I’ve read comparisons with Black Opium, but I find no resemblance whatsoever. I’ve had Black Opium for years, and it was the last thing that came to mind when trying this. Perhaps the Parfum resembles it in some way, but this one, almost nothing.
I LOVE IT.
It’s sweet but sophisticated; the warm Dior vibe is noticeable; I love it.
I love the scent; it’s one of my favourites, but… it lasts nothing! What happened to the longevity? I know it’s an EDT, but given its value, I expected more. It doesn’t last more than 3 hours on my skin. It smells delicious, but I have to apply it constantly. I wouldn’t buy it again solely due to the terrible longevity. When this runs out, I’ll get the EDP; that one lasts a treat, I’d say over 10 hours.
I received it this week. I already own the EDP, which is my top 5, and wanted this because reviews said it was excellent. Oh, a disappointment; it bears no resemblance to the EDP. I was very surprised; I thought it was the same but more moderate, yet it smells very different. The longevity is very poor; I couldn’t smell it after 2-3 hours. It’s a Dior EDT and it’s not cheap; I expected more. It smells nice but I don’t love it. I definitely won’t buy it again, what a shame as I was so excited.
It’s a wonder, softer than the EDP and slightly different. The caramel note makes it so feminine and exquisite; I adore it. The only problem is it doesn’t last well and you have to reapply, but it’s delicious and earns many compliments.
It was an unexpected gift. It’s exquisite, feminine, and full of nuances. The opening is an alcohol hit, but within seconds the magic appears. It’s sparkling, citrusy, with sugared orange and then caramel. It’s sophisticated, luminous, and cheerful. However, the longevity and trail are poor… what a shame for the price. The dry down is the same as the EDP but less invasive. If you can’t stand the EDP, this is good to wear. I love it, but I wouldn’t buy it solely due to the poor fixation; I need to reapply. Edit: I bought it and I’m in love. The longevity is low, but the scent… I LOVE IT.
I tried the EDP but not this one. I don’t detect any orange, just the neroli and that typical sweet base. The name doesn’t suit me, nor does it smell toxic; rather, it reminds me of a fun-loving girl.
I bought it because reviews called it delicious, but in reality, it’s warm, not very citrusy, and slightly sweet. The trail is minimal and it doesn’t last long; it feels a bit cloying to me. Vanilla and caramel stand out. It’s nice, but not surprising. I picked it up alongside Ricci Ricci and feel they’re similar.
This Poison Girl Eau de Toilette is well-acidic orange 🍊 and sugar for half an hour then another 15 minutes of very rich caramel close to the skin and it’s over the scent is gone. I went to the perfumerie for the perfume water and they sold me the Eau de Toilette by mistake; by the time I realised it was the body mist I had already opened and tested it on my wrist I couldn’t return it. I don’t like how citrusy it is and the alcohol hit in its opening really bothers me. Having it in my collection doesn’t please me because as I said before it’s orange with sugar and it’s not what I want to smell. I don’t care if it fixes or not or its trail because I don’t like this perfume.
The bitter orange and vanilla dominate on my skin with this little perfume. Sweet to death on my skin. It’s not my style. My daughter finds it very nice. But the longevity is very low and the trail is soft. Very expensive to pay for that performance.
I went to try the Dior Addict. The cinnamon scent mixed with the orange blossom made me feel ill. I went for one of the Poisons and was about to take this what luck I didn’t. As soon as I smelled it it became fruity somewhat sweet and I saw its citrus opening was conquering me. I took another and thought about going back to find it. Hours after leaving the perfumerie I was surprised by how strong the Addict smelled on me; when I checked my wrist I found the culprit. In the dry-down it was exactly like the Dior Addict the orange blossom flooding everything with that oriental blend which honestly smells like my grandmother to me. If you like classics those that have stood the test of time give it a chance. If not really not it’s a great perfume because its trail keeps invading me for 5 hours after but I repeat for me it smells like an older lady. There’s nothing ‘girly’ about it!
A sweet vanilla not cloying. The bitter orange takes away that strong sweetness. It’s very rich and has moderate longevity.
Less spicy than the original a great relief but it loses about 30-40% of its creaminess. It’s like the classic but toned down particularly in the spices. In that relief like other flankers it loses much of its richness. I find myself torn between the traditional version I owned and discarded due to the spice which I now miss and this EDT. It’s a tough call. The trail is soft yet lovely. Edit: this is mine oh my goodness it’s tremendous. It doesn’t leave your clothes smelling spiced and the trail is adequate sufficient. For the scent and the fact that it doesn’t leave clothes smelling of old spices like the traditional version I forgive everything. It’s a scent that doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable even if you think you’re the only one enjoying it; it’s so delicious you savour it like chocolate for yourself. In the end it doesn’t matter but for me the trail is superb. When I smell this perfume settled I think of crystalline coloured bubbles butterflies as if the air itself is throwing its wings at you as they flutter something transparent with rainbow halos like a prism then something refreshing crisp like clean water. It opens citrusy and then settles into the creamy vanilla of the most delicious perfumery modern and creamy contrasting with the little spice you can feel. Those fresh fruit wonders and clean scent notes land on that vanilla and caramel that isn’t cloying not powdery but creamy. The trail projects the combination of notes leaving a spectacularly feminine scent that turns heads not because it’s strong but because it’s rich. It’s wonderful. If you feel the spices of the traditional are annoying or too heavy but the scent attracts you don’t hesitate to opt for the Eau de Toilette. The Unexpected ones are too different and lose the line. If you’re looking for something similar but less sweet and spicy I recommend Britney’s Prerogative. Longevity: I don’t know why people say it lasts nothing; it lasted me 6 hours and then the scent became disordered still present but changing. For me 6 hours from an Eau de Toilette is superb. The trail is just right; I’d like it to be superior perhaps it would get cloying it’s the same projection as the Eau de Parfum only this was sweeter but didn’t project further staying close. Even at times I feel the EDT has a greater trail. Sorry for the long review I try to express myself when it comes to high-value fragrances; for me this is worth every penny.
I didn’t want this fragrance; it was sent to me by mistake when I ordered the EDP, but I’m glad. I already had the Poison Girl EDP and gave it to my mum because, although it lasted a long time, it was very strong and clung to the neck. This eau de toilette has caramel, that little sweet orange, it’s more feminine, delicate and youthful. Its dry down is precious and tender, a scent that brings happiness. It would be perfect with more potency, but the longevity isn’t bad: it lasts me all day, especially on clothes. The sillage is moderate. Since it’s an eau de toilette, I don’t mind showering with it for that perfect dry down. It’s worth treating yourself to this luxury once in a while.
I didn’t want this fragrance; it was sent to me by mistake as I ordered the EDP… but I’m glad I received it. I previously owned the Poison Girl EDP and gave it to my mother because it didn’t suit me; it had magnificent longevity but poor projection, being a strong scent stuck to the neck. This Eau de Toilette has caramel, that little sweet orange note; it’s more feminine, delicate and youthful, with a wonderful, tender dry-down, a scent that brings happiness. It would be perfect with more potency, but there’s nothing to be done. The longevity isn’t bad; it lasts all day, especially on clothes. The sillage is moderate. It’s an Eau de Toilette, so I don’t mind washing off with such a perfect dry-down. It’s worth treating yourself to this luxury once in a while.
Upon spraying, it radiates alcohol before revealing a subtle sweet orange, with lemon peeking through; as it dries, it’s the EDP but with less intensity (floral with a hint of vanilla). The initial citrus is always subtle, delicate without being strong or fresh, but rather sweet.
I’ve been alternating between the EDT and the EDP for six years; both are delicious, but this one is less spicy and more creamy. The bitter orange opening is spectacular and I love the longevity (something hard to find these days). I’ve had five bottles and they’ve never changed. In terms of scent, it’s a 10; sillage is 7 at four hours (just close to the skin). The EDT lasts six hours (not recommended for summer) and the EDP eight. Would I buy it again? Yes, it’s my favourite.
I’ve been jumping between the EDT and EDP for six years; both are delicious, but this one is less spicy and more creamy. A treat to smell; the bitter orange opening is spectacular with a lasting power I adore. (Very hard to find nowadays with designers cutting corners on quality). I’ve had five bottles and noticed no difference between them. In terms of scent, it’s a 10, sillage a 7; after four hours, it’s only detectable right next to the skin. EDT lasts 6 hours, nothing for summer. EDP lasts 8 hours. Would I buy it again? Yes, certainly, it’s my favourite.
A beautiful perfume, elegant without being cheesy.
Exquisite. Moderate sillage. As it dries, it smells of hazelnut and almond, spectacular, as if you were wearing a delicious bonbon. I love its base. I don’t notice the initial citrus touch, but if you buy it, always do.
I bought it thinking it was the EDP, but I have no regrets. It’s an orange between sweet and bitter, vanilla-scented but without touching the extreme sweetness of some current perfumes. I find it suitable for a young girl with personality. Lately it’s quite hard to find, both this one and the EDP.
Such a pleasant and subtle scent. Not cloying, it evaporates quickly and you need to reapply constantly. Almost like perfume water, but delicious. I smell orange, vanilla, caramel and roses. It deserves to be in the collection.
Very good, well-balanced and feminine notes, but it lasts a sigh, what a pity… 🙁 Anything similar with more longevity?
I had a dream walking through an idealised city with neon colours, where everything was perfect and I was wearing Poison Girl. Upon waking, I went straight to the Dior counter to try it. The name says it all: a dangerous-looking girl, and above all, a dangerous drinker. Kissing her makes you fall head over heels for her poison. I tried both and the EDT version came closest to that dream: more airy, sweet and cheeky. It opens with a sugary breath of realistic bitter oranges, like a squashed orange juice. Then come the sweet, powdery, balsamic and sticky roses, while the rose lingers in the background. Gradually, it sinks into a caramelised tonka bean and vanilla dust, with a hint of sweet almond that almost becomes smoky at the end. At no point does it overwhelm you; instead, it accompanies you close to the skin, rising when you move. It lasts fantastically on clothes and hair; on skin, about five hours, but it’s worth reapplying if you want it to last all day. I love that squashed orange and rose makeup scent, like a memory of a dream world. It’s unique (though it reminds me of Black Opium) and always noticeable. The bottle is gorgeous with its pink button, and the box reminds me of the series Black Mirror. Poison Girl is a living reminder that I can make my dreams come true. Isn’t that enough for a Dior flanker at a good price?
I had a dream walking through the idealised version of my city, bathed in neon colours, where everything was perfect and my desires crystallised. I was wearing Dior Poison Girl. I woke up like a ghost and went straight to the counter to spray myself. The name says ‘poison’, but it comes from ‘potion’ (to drink in Latin): kissing the girl who wears it will make you fall head over heels for her venom. How fantastic, I want 16 bottles. I already had a decant of the EDP that I enjoyed but it didn’t mark enough. At the counter I tested both; the EDT reminded me more of the dream: more airy, sweet, mischievous and volatile. It opens with a sugary breath of realistic bitter oranges, like squashing a cut orange and filling your fingers with juice. The orange is citrusy and candied, with a tiny astringent note that could be confused with soap, but the sweet and powdery smell of the roses appears quickly. It reminds me a bit of Roses Vanille, balsamic and sticky. All the floral facets are sweet; the rose is secondary, adding colour to those rebellious oranges, until the caramelised tonka bean and vanilla powder come down. It smells of sweet almond that transforms, and at the end it has a nearly smoky facet more present in the EDP. As it’s an EDT, it never suffocates you in sweetness; it accompanies you on the skin and rises towards your nose when you move. It lasts fantastically on clothes and hair, don’t miss out on spraying it in your hair. On skin it lasts 5 hours, you need to reapply if you want it all day, but for me it’s not necessary. I love its smell of squashed orange, rose makeup, soft rebellion and neon at 8 in the morning. It’s fantastic, unique (although it reminds me of Black Opium) and you always notice it. The bottle is chulísima (a pink button, a pink potion that promises eternal sleep) and the box reminds me of the fantastical 80s version of ‘San Junipero’ in Black Mirror. Wow, what a good ending. For me, Poison Girl is a living memory that I can make any dream come true. And that’s already enough for a poor flâneur of Dior at an overprice, don’t you think?
Dior perfumes have never been my favourites, but the Poison line called to me. I like sweets but not gourmand or strong ones, and I was afraid to invest in one that might turn out heavy. I tried the EDP and liked it, but something didn’t convince me, I think it was the almond note. I couldn’t find a tester for the EDT and bought it blindly in 30ml and I LOVE it. It maintains the citrusy point for longer, avoiding it becoming heavy. To me it smells of orange marmalade with vanilla touches. The trail and longevity are medium, the perfect point. If you want it more intense, try the EDP.
I bought it yesterday and it’s a delight. I’m not usually a vanilla person, but this Dior one is executed perfectly, nothing cloying, just to highlight the fragrance. It’s a spectacular glazed orange with soft vanilla and caramel, accompanied by tonka bean at the start. Mid-way through I notice the orange with caramel and a rich spiced vanilla. At the end it smells of citrusy vanilla with sandalwood and lasts until the next day on the skin. On clothes it lasts up to 3 days noticeably. I perceive much of the sweet and citrusy vanilla, exquisite. On clothes it smells better than on skin. Scent 9/10, Longevity 10/10 (you must spray it initially if you want to feel it). Moderate to expensive price but worth every penny. 9/10 overall.
It feels like polished orange peels. It’s interesting; it caught me by surprise but I can’t stop smelling it; I see myself wearing this always. Update: on skin it hypnotises me; the opening is a bit bitter but it caramelises immediately and becomes sweet, something unique. Scent: 10/10. Versatility: if you want to be a gothic girl for summer, it works, although it can be warm. Versatile for daily wear and special occasions. 9/10 Performance (to be evaluated). Overall: 9.5/10. Note: Boos Rainbow is very similar (somewhere in between the two) and unfortunately disappoints in longevity due to its price; I prefer to spend less.
Sweet softness. An elegant orange, subtly vanilla, like a cream dessert with orange blossom or a yoghurt cake that isn’t cloying. Unlike Hypnotic Poison, this is soaked in orange blossom water. Among so many trendy sweets, this is my favourite because it has ‘savoir-faire’: it doesn’t invade, tire or saturate. It’s a soft sweetness handkerchief that accompanies you everywhere.
It opens with a sugared orange, where you can almost feel the crystallised sweetness. Although I own other orange blossom scents, here it blends perfectly with the florals to create a fresh sweetness. The base is a seductive yet elegant vanilla with tonka bean, nothing gourmand. It suits my style of dark clothing and boots perfectly; it accentuates my presence with a coquettishness that invites people closer. I don’t quite recognise the cashmere notes, but I adore the perfume. The trail is moderate; it’s not heavy but lasts around 8 hours (the last three hours only my boyfriend notices it). It lasts days on clothes, ideal for all year round, though I might consider it for summer too.
I loved it at first sniff; I bought it as a Christmas present. It smells of caramelised orange and is simply gorgeous 🧡
