I never managed to connect with this scent, though I tried it anyway. At first, I thought it would suit me, but every time I wear it, that green neroli note takes over and steals the spotlight from the sweet notes, which are actually what I prefer. It’s a no for me and I wouldn’t recommend it; definitely try before you buy.

If it lives up to its name, every time I smell it I say ‘mmm…’. It smells delicious; judging by the notes I expected it to be very sweet, but it isn’t. I notice it’s fresh yet sweet, ideal for daily wear in warm weather, and quite pleasant!

I tried this perfume at Sephora a few weeks ago and thought it was incredible. 100% raspberry, sweet, clean, and fresh. I bought it a few days later, but at home it’s something completely different. It’s very, very talcum-heavy, something I usually avoid, but the sweetness saves it for me. I perceive it as if they mixed a spoonful of talcum powder with icing sugar. As it dries down, the acidity and freshness of the raspberry and caramel are at the base, though they barely come through. I think it’s a harmless fragrance for any weather or occasion, but I don’t see it lasting or projecting much. The bottle colour is lovely, though.

Seeing the notes I thought… another floral-fruity-gourmand? Well, yes, it smells of raspberry and cherry, but it turns out quite talcum-heavy due to the heliotrope and iris blend, resting on vanilla and caramel which I don’t find particularly gourmand. Although it seems super sweet at first, the final result is very well balanced. It’s clearly more feminine, yet not youthful or super versatile. On my skin, it lasts 7-8 hours with moderate projection and sillage. Personally, I wouldn’t buy it as I already have a similar style (Kenzo Flower L’Elixir) and the occasions for use would be the same… but I did like it quite a lot.

Impressed to be the first to consider it remarkably similar to Earth by Loewe. Loewe with better performance, beautiful 😍.

Oh, this Julietina, what a cutie, literally the name defines it, how well it makes you feel. It’s soft yet the cutest of them all.

A lighter, youthful, and playful version of Hypnotic Poison, but… it’s more fruity and daytime. It’s a ‘pretty girl’ perfume; on me, the raspberry, neroli, and caramel stand out, with the latter not being heavy, just in its rightful measure. The patchouli is also very discreet, lurking in the background as if it’s shy about coming out. I see this fragrance as a sweet, tender young girl who wants to be older but doesn’t dare.

I can’t describe how much I love this perfume; it’s not gourmand at all, yet it does have that little sweet touch. To me, it seems very feminine and wearable; since I tried it, it became one of my favourites. It could easily be a signature scent, perfect for any occasion. It doesn’t have the best longevity or projection that I generally love in perfumes, but for its aroma, it’s worth it 😍.

It smells to me like Cloud from the 90s: talcum-heavy, sweet, and even cloying. If you think it will be your typical gourmand, it isn’t. It’s not a bad fragrance, but definitely not for everyone. I definitely note that plasticine or medicinal licorice smell, but it doesn’t disgust me. It’s not a perfume to buy blindly. It lasts a long time on my skin, but I don’t notice any fruity notes.

Very subtle and on me it doesn’t last long or project much; I imagined something more gourmand, like Oriana, but no. I like it; it doesn’t drive me crazy. It’s a sweet, lovely, and subtle scent where I don’t perceive most of the notes it claims to have.
Strega
Smells like pink marshmallow and little sweets; for me, what really stands out is the raspberry with caramel, without noticing the neroli or talc, which I appreciate as I can’t stand them. It’s a beautiful composition that I adore, with good trail and longevity. After oxidating a bit, the scent becomes spectacular and I like it even more than at first; every time I smell it on my clothes, I confirm the name fits perfectly.

I was obsessed with the brand and ordered it after reading reviews of Not a Perfume. It has that talc-like DNA of musk or iris, but I expected more projection from the neroli or the neroli opening that I love so much. Perhaps the notes cancel each other out; I feel it, but it leaves no trail and disappears quickly. I think even a strong fabric softener overpowers it. It’s okay if you’re looking for something soft like a bath cream, but if you use other creams, this one loses. Is it rich? Yes. Is it worth the money? No. Is it original? Not really. It disappointed me and I wouldn’t buy it again, though I might use it for layering. With JHG, you must try before you buy.

Simply love it, mmm… it has been a great discovery with incredible longevity. When I wear it, it’s the day I get the most compliments and people ask what perfume I’m using; it’s sweet and fruity.

I liked it very much when I smelled it in the perfumery; it’s something I’ve smelled before but with excellent quality. I still don’t know exactly what it reminds me of, but I definitely prefer this one.

I was drawn to it because many say it resembles Hypnotic Poison, which I adore, and since I could only find the EDT, I decided to buy it blind and it was a good decision. It has a great resemblance but has its own personality, much more floral, soft, and sweet than the original, which is darker. My friends say it smells like playdough, but for me it’s like a new doll, slightly plastic but in a good way. I love the talc-like touch that gives softness along with the flowers and vanilla; I fall in love with it more and more and it will be my signature this autumn and winter.

Like most JHAG, it smells like the clean hair of the popular girl in class. It’s one of the few I tolerate because the iris is very present and I’m thrilled by it; the raspberry is juicy and it doesn’t have that pure ambroxan dryness that repulses me like in others. It’s by far the one I like most from the discovery set. Three sprays on the arms and four on the neck last six hours clearly, then it starts to fade. It stays very close to the skin all that time. I’d like to appreciate perfumes without monumental performance, but I’m a girl who prefers a beast mode to a silly chalk, so I wouldn’t ever buy an FB; if someone gifted it to me, I’d ask for the receipt, and if not, I’d keep it as if it were a mist.

Although they say it’s identical to Hypnotic Poison, it’s quite different and already has a place in my heart. It has a similar profile thanks to that powdery vanilla, but MMMM, I love it more. Perhaps the raspberry dominates, wrapped beautifully by iris and heliotrope (giving it that powdery cherry note), with caramel, vanilla, and a sandalwood base that adds personality. As it dries down, the fruity notes give way to the woody base and powdery vanilla. Compared to the Dior, it’s less powdery, more fruity and floral. It has moderate to soft sillage and lasts about 8 hours on my skin. I feel it’s sweet and innocent, yet not generic or simple. I’ve really liked it; although the raspberry can be a bit loud or verge on cloying at first, I found myself thinking about buying a bottle… Perhaps I will. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 6/10, Value for money 5/10, Versatility 6.5/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy it again? Perhaps.

Despite resembling Hypnotic Poison, it’s quite different and has earned a place in my heart. It follows a similar profile with talc-like vanilla, but I like it much more. Perhaps its predominant note is the raspberry, very well surrounded by iris and heliotrope (which give the talc-like and acerbated touch), caramel, and vanilla, with a sandalwood base that gives it personality. As it dries, the fruity notes cede prominence to the woody base and powdery vanilla. Compared to Hypnotic Poison, it’s less talc-like, more fruity and floral. It has moderate to soft trail and lasts about 8 hours. I feel it’s sweet and innocent, not generic or simple, and I’ve liked it quite a lot. Although at first the raspberry can be loud or border on cloying, I’ve been surprised thinking about buying a bottle. Maybe I will. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 8/10, Trail 6/10, Value for money 5/10, Versatility 6.5/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy again? Maybe.
Dama Incognita
Yes, I can say ‘mmmm’ when using it! I find it hard to describe because it’s fruity at the same time as not being very sweet, talc-like but fresh; you can feel the flowers and something plastic-like like a new doll at the base, an artificial note but not unpleasant, typical of the brand. Generally I don’t like raspberry, but with the white flowers it gives it a fresh floral air, and the heliotrope and iris give the talc-like touch. It’s very versatile, suits women of any age, and for any occasion; I work at a university and my students and colleagues have praised it. This brand usually lasts little on my skin, but I liked it so much that I didn’t hesitate to buy a bottle, although I have to reapply constantly and its projection is moderate.

What a delicious perfume, I’m in love! Sweet but not cloying, with a light talc-like and caramel touch, very balanced. On my skin it lasts from 8 to 10 hours, without great projection, as it prioritises longevity on the skin being more intimate. There are many with these notes, but I feel they are better executed here, they intertwine very well and you can notice the evolution; it has a wonderful dry-down. I would buy it again anyway.

The only thing similar to Hypnotic Poison is the type of vanilla, but this one is finer and more floral. It’s very balanced: sweet but not cloying. The neroli, iris, and orange blossom aren’t predominant but give it a sweet floral side and slightly talc-like touch that elevates the scent. It’s feminine and very versatile, not linear, and after hours it leaves a musky and soft aroma similar to the dry-down of Not a Perfume. The only negative is that it has moderate to low trail and lasts less than 6 hours on my skin, a performance that for its price should be better. That said, I believe in terms of scent, although it’s not very original, it’s the best created and can be bought blind without worry.

The only thing that reminds me of Hypnotic Poison is that type of vanilla (which is also in Scandal Le Parfum), but this smells finer and more floral. It is very balanced: sweet without being cloying. The neroli, iris, and orange blossom don’t dominate, but they give it a sweet floral side with a slightly powdery nuance that elevates the scent. It’s feminine and versatile, non-linear, and ultimately leaves a musky, soft trail similar to the dry-down of Not a Perfume. The downside is that it has low sillage and lasts less than 6 hours on my skin; for the price, it should last longer. In summary, although it isn’t original, it is the best created, and you can buy it blind without worry.

This is an absolute delight. Youthful, sexy, and delicate, yet crafted with great elegance. When I wear it, I can’t stop searching for it to smell it properly. The name suits it perfectly.

It is an absolute delight: youthful, sexy, and delicate, yet with a great deal of elegance. As soon as I put it on, I can’t help but keep coming back to smell it properly. The name fits it perfectly.

It smells like luxury cream and elegant perfume. It’s a blend of Oriana and Hypnotic Poison, without being a clone of either, and better than both, although Dior was my signature scent for years. It’s the scent of a brand-new, sugared doll, where I detect neroli, vanilla, and nardos above all… At times, it has a hint of a red fruit lollipop. I’d say it has no age; a very young audience will love it. A guaranteed blind buy. I own Vanilla Vibes and Miss Charming from the brand, and this is, without a doubt, my favourite.

I struggle to find a similarity with Hypnotic Poison beyond that enlarged, dizzying vanilla. The Dior is more discotheque-like and potent, with an almond-wood base. This might amuse you if you enjoy these intertwined vanillas; the body is similar, but it has its own personality by incorporating powdery accords with memories of classic lotions. That cold, creamy feel is perfect for going out, thanks to the heliotrope and lily in the heart. This Mmmm could be another among artificial and chemical feminine perfumes, but it looks more interesting and suggestive. It is an exact mix of reddish vanilla where three accords sparkle: lily/heliotrope, narcotic orange blossom, and waxy sandalwood, all cold notes against the warmth of the fruity vanilla. My nose doesn’t distinguish the raspberry; there is a very evident hint of pink syrup, but in an abstract way. Finally, and although I didn’t like it before, it becomes a mass-market fragrance; only a single caramelised vanilla note remains, which is enough to make you reach for the alcohol and finish with the ordeal. By the way, in the top notes, it reminds me of a very soft fruity ambroxan, in the style of Escentric Molecules, which, without being unpleasant, avoids the loud chilliness that follows. To my taste, it is unisex leaning towards masculine, and at some point it wanted to remind me of Opium pour Homme, which is not strange given the aniseed heliotrope and cherries. In my mind, the connection works because Opium carries many currants. I recommend trying it to men who love heavy, oriental night scents. Longevity is very good.

I struggle to think of a similarity with Hypnotic Poison beyond that overwhelming amplified vanilla note. The Dior is more nightclub-ready and potent, with an almond-wood base. This might amuse you if you enjoy intertwined vanillas; the body is similar, but it has its own personality by incorporating powdery chords mixed with memories of classic lotions. That cool, soapy touch suits perfectly for going out, thanks to the heliotrope and lily. My nose doesn’t distinguish the raspberry on its own; there’s a very evident hint of pink syrup, but in an abstract way. Finally, and not that I found the earlier phases amusing, it turns into a fragrance of the crowd; only a single caramelised vanilla note remains, which is enough to make you want to add ethyl alcohol and finish with torture. By the way, on the opening, it reminds me of a soft fruity ambroxan, in the style of Escentric Molecules, which, without being unpleasant, avoids the brassy growl it later turns into. To my taste, it’s a unisex that leans more towards masculine, and at some point it tried to remind me of Opium pour Homme, which is not strange with the anise-heliotrope mixed with cherries. In my mind, the connection works because Opium carries many currants. I recommend trying it to men who love heavy, nocturnal oriental scents. Longevity is very good.

I’m still amazed by this platform: if someone who doesn’t know this perfume enters and sees that over 800 people say it resembles Hypnotic Poison, and thinks: ‘I love Hypnotic Poison, if this is so similar I’ll get a bottle’, their faces upon receiving the Mmmm… bottle must be quite a poem… it doesn’t resemble Hypnotic Poison at all, well, the bottles are red and that’s about it.
Ojos Claros
Extremely current scent. I’m fascinated by it. To me, it’s feminine, not unisex, although it’s a trend, I wouldn’t categorise it as such. It’s praiseworthy that everyone uses the perfumes with which they identify and that make them feel good. That’s why I find it easier to have that quick classification in feminine, unisex, or masculine. Just as with the classic or current tags. There are classic great perfumes, like balsamic ones (like Chanel No. 5), that no matter how good they are, I don’t feel like wearing them in this stage of my life. Perhaps these designations could be replaced by terms appropriate for the 21st century but equally definitive so we don’t have to test the vast existing repertoire individually. I detect a certain similarity to This Is Her by Zadig & Voltaire, even to Girls Can Do Anything from the same brand. I love it, I also say: mmmm… I’m adding it to my wishlist.
