Descripción

Euphoria by Calvin Klein is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2005, this composition was created by Dominique Ropion, Carlos Benaïm and Loc Dong. The top notes unfold the freshness of pomegranate, persimmon and green accords; the heart reveals the sensuality of black orchid, lotus flower and champaca; while the base settles on a foundation of cedar, amber, black violet and whipped cream. This perfume was awarded the FiFi Award Fragrance Of The Year Women`s Luxe in 2006.

  • Euphoria is a great perfume, undeniable. A scent of a bygone era that leaves a mark and has great quality. However, for me it was too strong and with two applications I ended up with a terrible headache. That doesn’t mean it’s not a great fragrance where the floral touch is noticeable, but the woods made it impossible for me. For those who enjoy strong, non-mass-market scents. Preferably use in cold climates.

  • Firmly feminine on a floral base of rose, violet and orchid, with a contemporary touch from the dominant persimmon note, in line with exotic fruit trends like Summer Daze from the same house. The creaminess and talcum-powdered dry-down take it to the classic style some call ‘for older ladies’, but it’s the timeless chic of Paris. Sexy, invasive and disturbing scent, not for all settings.

  • When I first smelled it, I thought I had to own it. It opens spicy and strong at first, then the violet is felt, a flower I love with woods. It’s more nocturnal, for winter, elegant, slightly talcum-powdered, unisex and complex. I’d use it for formal occasions or going out.

  • I fell in love with it immensely. If it’s hot, being dry it doesn’t become cloying and it suits well. In winter, its strength can also work well. The notes are very different; honestly, it reminds me of a new euro note, with a sweet touch and power. That mix of acidic, bitter and sweet also reminds me of persimmon/kinoto skin, definitely.

It’s woody, floral and a little sweet. Not for everyone. I’ve received compliments. Try a sample before buying in bulk.

  • Smells like just out of a fancy hairdresser’s. I’d wear it today on casual days; it lacks presence for very special occasions, but is perfect for informal moments. It gives the effect of smelling clean, put together with expensive lacquer and good makeup.

  • It was an exquisite, fine and sophisticated perfume. Unfortunately, to make it more commercial they changed the formula to sweeter notes and ruined it, what a pity.

  • I’ve just bought this beauty. It always attracted me magnetically without me realising why, but for some reason I kept putting it off. My intuition didn’t fail; it’s for me: magnetic, mysterious, nocturnal and wild. So much complexity and evolution! It enters and exits with the heat of the skin: first pomegranate and green accords that linger, blending superbly with amber and violet, what warmth! The heart dances peripherally, caressing everything but discreetly, before turning creamy, talcum-powdered, dry, nothing cloying. Not for every nose, especially now that everything is sweet and artificial. I love this rarity. Longevity 10/10, trail 8/10, projection 8/10.

  • Jess Jiménez

If you’re nostalgic for the 80s and 90s, this is the one for you. Elegant, not overly feminine thanks to the wood; a well-made man would wear it too. Potent for a woman who owns her life, yet nothing heavy: starts citrusy before the amber emerges. It has character, not playful. Lasts on skin and clothes for days. Beautiful, simple bottle. For nights out conquering the world.

  • A groundbreaking rarity like others. The opening is concentrated pomegranate juice, followed by deep wood and a subtle powdery dry-down, like old powder puffs. I imagine a goth in a burgundy and black dress drinking wine. Mysterious and sexy, with a vintage air. I don’t find it as strong as people say; compatible with temperate climates, though I doubt it for summer. I’ve loved it; if it has any success, it must be for a reason. Edit: yes, it is strong and has a trail; I’ve been noticed at work for smelling too much (even after hours). People have complimented me, and a girl even recognised the scent. Be careful ⚠️ but it’s a genuine fantasy and a bomb 🎇.

  • It’s finished, and I felt sad because I used it to the last drop. Although it was a love-hate relationship, I kept choosing it for being super impactful and particular. I’d buy it again, but it’s not my priority now.

  • It’s very strong, too much of a perfume. It’s the kind of scent that made me think I wasn’t interested in fragrances at all. It smells like a tester mix and gives me a headache. But it has longevity and a trail that could stop a train. In the base, it’s more amber than wood, with that dark orchid touch and bitter pomegranate. One drop lasts all day. If you like that, it’s yours.

  • Melissarinana

You must smell it before buying. I heard so much about it, tried decants, and so far it’s the perfume I’ve liked the least. It smells very strong, and the woods give it a masculine touch. That said, it has excellent trail and longevity.

  • Euphoria is that ‘power woman’ scent—potent and overwhelming. It’s an oriental woody fragrance that could be unisex. It’s sensual, with fruity pomegranate notes contrasting against woods and amber, giving it a formal and bold character. For me, it’s totally different, distinctive and unmistakable, with great projection. I’m not a fan of Calvin Klein, but this is their best.

  • It’s odd, but on a man for daily wear, it must smell wonderful. For a woman, I adore it at night; although I’m not a fan of the effeminate, this one has me hooked.

  • Belenperfumada

Marvellous! I fell in love at first sniff. It’s not for blind buying; it has immense personality and nothing to do with the sugary perfumes in fashion. It smells like a masculine rose, fresh at first, then explodes into flowers and wood, super exotic. It lasts about six hours with projection, then seven on the skin. If you have the Absolutly Irresistible, you’ll love it.

  • Coni Macarena Miel

It’s a violet with amber and whipped cream—very sophisticated and characterful. Not for everyone, but it pleasantly surprised me. I’d just remove the pomegranate or the persimmon, which give it a bitterness I dislike.

  • It doesn’t convince me. I don’t feel the sweetness they claim, and to me, it smells super unisex.

  • Smells old and heavy, just like my mum’s perfume that clings to me all day. If you’re looking for something youthful, forget it; this is far too mature.

  • At first, that green opening with pomegranate caught me slightly off guard, but over time the flowers and amber blend into something exquisite. It’s not my everyday scent, but a fascinating choice for floral lovers.

  • Despite leather not being listed in the notes, the aromatic trail of this fragrance reminds me quite a bit of Tom Ford Ombre Leather.

  • Rodríguez sanchez

Euphoria is a curious gem of creativity, in my opinion, like many others from its era. Nowadays, I struggle to find creativity; they aren’t potent, with only a few exceptions. And frankly, I don’t like smelling something food-related, whether it’s lemon dessert or anything associated with pastries. I adore Euphoria for its compositional complexity and for being a true orchid fragrance, unconventional and genuine. I’d have to go back to that era or earlier to find something like this. The arrival of this perfume shows that sometimes you have to take a risk to create a jewel of this calibre.

  • I’ve always found this perfume utterly ‘overwhelming’… that’s the most accurate word to describe it. It’s simply not my type of fragrance. If I had to describe how it makes me feel, aside from that, it would be: a femme fatale scent that you spray and it gives you a cough, followed by a headache that triggers terrible nausea 😅

  • Perla Vencis

There’s a reason this perfume won an award in 2006. From Calvin Klein, it’s a top seller, currently number one after Eternity and CK One. It features a balsamic, herbal woody scent noticeable right from the first spray. The star notes are black orchid, lilacs, and black violets, with plenty of cedar and amber. On my skin, I don’t detect the vanilla or whipped cream mentioned on the website; instead, the black orchid shines alongside the black violets and cedar. It’s a classic worth owning and enjoying.

  • Ƙörıchî Moonglass

Of my personal fragrances, it’s incredibly rich, yet it doesn’t feel as ‘manly’ or overpowering as others claim. Unfortunately, it can only be enjoyed once it’s applied; after two hours, you’ll barely smell anything, even though perfumes usually last longer on me. The sillage is minimal, and I can’t detect it on my clothes either ;c

  • Without a doubt, whether you like it or not, it is an interesting perfume, very peculiar for a designer fragrance; without a doubt it is different and special. It feels quite herbal, woody and the orchid is present. It is not something to buy blindly as it is a strong scent, almost medicinal, and close to unisex. Then it softens and becomes creamier. It is not to my taste, but I recognise its originality.

  • It is a perfume with much character, therefore, for people with much character. It is a very elegant and sensual woody scent; it does not seem very strong to me, but if you embrace the person wearing it, you will spend a while enjoying their fragrance. It is nothing scandalous; it is a very, very good and beautiful perfume.

  • Minimalister

I met it at a sample and I loved it. It is something I had been looking for for some time and could not find: an original scent that catches attention and is pleasant to many people. The first thing that came to mind when I smelled it the first time was a scene I never lived: getting ready at night to go out partying in the 90s. But no, it is really a perfume where you can feel the wood, but spectacularly interwoven with the sweetness of orchid and a bitter note that makes it totally seductive. I could wear it every day, but it would be better suited to temperate-cool climates. In short, it is not a simple scent, but it is exquisite.

  • EUPHORIA: WHEN DESIGN WAS ALSO EMOTION. FOREVER, THE SILVER BOTTLE. In this fragrance, winner of a FIFI Award, Dominique Ropion was involved, and it is noticeable in that impossible balance: the opening feels like an explosion of exotic red fruits, and it quickly evolves towards the floral heart, but with a dark, almost mineral edge, dominated by orchid, enveloping everything in an exotic and sensual veil, like a flower blooming in the shadow. Euphoria flows between contrasts: oriental, fruity, floral, woody, ambered and slightly ‘patchouli’. It has that abstract femininity that touches the androgynous, as it does not anchor itself to a gender, but to an emotion. And like the song of the same name, it evokes that moment where everything rises, where love becomes immortal and everything else disappears. ‘Tonight, eternity’s an open door…’ An eternity that does not promise a future, but a final-less now, suspended in desire. Euphoria is that: an eternal work of art, a beat that seeks no logic, a shared ascent. ‘Forever, ’til the end of time.’ 🍀 Recently, its bottle has lost its original metallic armour, leaving the red liquid visible as in the EDT. Is it an aesthetic redesign or simply a cost-cutting measure by Coty? Be that as it may, the soul of Euphoria remains there, intact.

  • I’m returning to write reviews, something I rarely do, because this magnificent composition truly deserves it. Yes, it is Dominique, deploying an artistry that I find increasingly captivating as I realise that the majority of her creations are exactly what I love; she possesses that intuitive talent, she doesn’t copy, she doesn’t merely draw inspiration from others—she is always original! I have had this fragrance in my collection for over a year now, and as I mentioned before, it is magnetic; my nose wants to follow it. To believe or to break? I choose to believe, as fragrances degrade or rather settle upon contact with oxygen. This one has done exactly that. We are in autumn in Argentina, a season that has been warmer than usual around here. How splendid this fragrance is during these times; I went shopping yesterday and applied it at midday. I must say that 24 hours have passed and I still have bursts of it; the scent close to the skin is evident, and on clothes, well, a delicacy. Fruity, balsamic, floral and creamy. The order of factors does not alter the result, for all reinforce each other, superbly, yet without fighting for first place, it is like enjoying a good dish where you distinguish each component one by one. What harmony! As soon as my bottle is finished, I will run to buy another; it is an essential in my collection and luckily it is very reasonably priced. I love it!

  • La esencia de la Victoria

Calvin Klein’s Euphoria grabs attention from the very first moment. Its fruity opening with pomegranate and persimmon is vibrant and modern, different from what I usually smell, and the floral heart of lily and orchid gives a feminine and elegant touch without being cloying. The base of amber and ebony wood adds depth and warmth, making it last hours without losing character. I particularly like how it combines strength and subtlety: it’s not exaggerated, but sufficiently present to leave a mark. Every time I wear it, I notice it accompanies me naturally, making me feel secure and giving me a small confidence boost without effort. For me, it’s versatile: it works both for everyday wear and special occasions, and I always find something new depending on how it evolves on my skin.

This perfume is witchcraft… perfect for casting a spell on any lover. I received many compliments, especially from the boys. It’s a bit dark but perfect. I’m not sure if it’s the reformulation, but before it lasted much longer. Now its longevity is a ‘meh’, but it’s so rich…

  • Ninoskaohm29

I love it. I was gifted it in 2010 when I was about 20, and I felt confident and secure wearing it. Years later, I bought another bottle and it brings back many memories. Although the current Euphoria seems reformulated and isn’t the shadow of what it used to be in terms of potency, it remains beautiful. I know nothing similar; it doesn’t smell like anything I’ve tried; it’s mysterious, dark, and honestly, I don’t sense any particular note. Simply a well-made blend that has always had good chemistry with my skin. My favourite for ever.

  • Eugenia Argentina

I don’t know how to describe it; it’s super complex, but I sense the orchid, the wood, and something more. I bought it on offer blind based on its notes and didn’t go wrong: it’s persistent, has a great trail, and says ‘woman’, not ‘girl’. I know it’s been copied a lot, but I wanted it. My son says it’s for ladies, but I share that it’s dark and mysterious. Perfect.

  • Edgar Allan Hoes

I didn’t use it myself; I gifted it to a relative. They liked the scent, it smells lovely, but it lasts a mere breath. Very poor in that regard.

  • I love it. It’s intense, sensual, and feminine. What I like most is that it stands out from the commercial; it’s original and distinguishes itself among current aromas. I see it as very autumn/winter, though it could work well on a cool spring/summer evening. I keep it for special occasions; it seems too exotic for everyday wear. I recommend trying it before buying as it’s very particular and may not suit everyone.

  • On first try, I thought it had patchouli because on my skin it smells minty and bitter; I’m not sure if it’s the green notes, but I don’t like it.

  • This is the definitive perfume. If you have a strong, imposing personality, you’ll adore it. It smells of violets with a sweet whipped cream touch that balances the black orchid and cedar; it’s unisex, hypnotic, addictive, mysterious, and sensual. Its name does it justice, though I’d call it ‘Enigma’. It’s like the Jet X: cool and makes you noticed.
