Opardu is a luxurious floral, but beware: if you’re hunting for something as potent as Frederic Malle’s Carnal Flower, you’ll be disappointed. It’s not designed to stand out; rather, it’s a subtle scent that endures the heat and lingers for hours, always in the background and at a close range. What I do love are the florals: initially, the neroli takes the lead, but then yields the baton to the gardenia, which holds until the very end over delicate lilacs. The rose is quite noticeable, while the heliotrope adds a powdery touch. At first, it smells a bit like soap, but that fades with time. The longevity is good, though the projection is very soft. While it leans feminine due to those florals, men who adore floral scents might find it suits them well. It suits me perfectly, even if it’s not what I usually wear.
