Unique, one of the finest scents I have ever encountered; it makes you unforgettable. No one smells quite like this. It bears no resemblance to Ananda or the new version. What a pity for Guerlain with their reformulations.

The perfect perfume for spring. Extremely floral and fruity. Sometimes it reminds me of Chanel’s Cristalle EDP, certainly due to the peach and melon notes. It is quintessentially 90s, offering Guerlain elegance without being as opulent as the 80s creations. It has a generous trail and good longevity. (Vintage bottle impression)

To be honest, I didn’t expect this based on the notes! I thought it would be a bland, powdery floral, yet I was intrigued. As I usually enjoy Guerlain vintage scents, it did not disappoint. This is more than a common fruity floral. It opens with powdery yet natural flowers such as mimosa, lilac, and violet, with a slightly aniseed touch that gives it character. That spicy nuance makes all the difference. In the dry down, there are well-blended ripe fruits: juicy and effervescent peach and melon. The base features Guerlain’s signature powdery vanilla, with creamy and woody notes of almond and sandalwood. Very elegant and mature, not for girls, but a feminine, energetic, vintage fragrance in the true Guerlain style.

Champs Elysees EDP: immense class and elegance. Opulent and bubbly, like a white sparkling wine with hints of fruit and flowers. The opening is powerful with freshly cut flowers. At first, I detect mimosa and lilac, fresh and citrusy, followed by juicy melon and peony that add freshness and originality. It resembles nothing else; a unique and overwhelming composition. Completely timeless; you will not go unnoticed with this sparkling champagne. It must be in my collection; although created decades ago, it is contemporary. One of the most beautiful perfumes I have ever smelled, a Guerlain masterpiece. An abundance of quality.

Champs Elysees EDP possesses immense class and elegance. It is opulent and bubbly, reminding me of a white sparkling wine with notes of fruit and flowers. It has a powerful opening of freshly cut fresh flowers. At first, I detect mimosa and lilac, giving it a fresh, citrusy touch, followed by juicy melon and peony, which lend it that fresh, natural, and original air. It bears no resemblance to anything I have tried; it is unique and overwhelming. Completely timeless, you will not go unnoticed with this fresh floral champagne. It cannot be missing from my collection; although it is decades old, it is totally contemporary. I must confess it is one of the most beautiful perfumes I have ever smelled, a masterpiece of Guerlain, an extravagance of quality.

  6. Speaking of Champs Elysees, we are talking about class and bearing. It is not for everyone; it is a yellow floral for young women who know their perfumes and appreciate quality. It is timeless, ageless. Very Guerlain, with natural aromas, as if you had just cut the flower and worn it. I recommend it; you can gift it, but you must smell it first. It smells of pure nature and freshly cut flowers, which speaks of quality. It is expensive, but worth it.

It is very Guerlain, those natural aromas that seem as though you have just cut the flower and are wearing it. I recommend it; you can gift it, but you must smell it first. It smells of abundant nature, freshly cut flowers, and that speaks of its quality. Yes, it is expensive, but it is worth it.

  8. One of my mother’s favourites, the EDP version. Champs Elysees with its slogan… ‘Life is more beautiful when you write it yourself’… It is a bubbly, elegant floral, with a mimosa note that I love and recognise in YSL Paris, Kenzo’s Parfum d’été, and Givenchy’s Amarige. A perfume with history and memory. There is one created by Jacques Guerlain in 1906 and this one by Jean Paul in 1996; I do not know if they resemble each other, but if they do, I would love it. I adore vintage; it seems an eternal essence. It must not be missing. It is the scent of my mother and of every delicate, sensitive woman. Both presentations, vintage and current, retain differences but the DNA remains. I wish they would sell all their presentations and flankers again. It is not a common scent on our streets, so I recommend it if you want to feel a little eclectic.

  9. Smells wonderful; I love it. A powdery floral sensation with wood, perceived as sweet and vanilla. I want to own it again. It made me feel special, with an aroma not found anywhere else; it is not very popular in my city. It has good longevity and trail, seeming ageless. I imagine it defining a woman who is sensitive, tender, romantic, and elegantly timeless.

Champs Elysees is an innocent and simple floral, like a refined hand lotion that smells of something expensive. Every time I try it, I wonder how it would be without melon, a specialist note at ruining with an unhealthy freshness any perfume. Here it is not as evident as in other youthful florals, but I know it is there, camouflaged, flaunting its withered, pasty fruity carnality without complex. My relationship with the melon is impossible; I hate it to death. That prevents me from enjoying it fully; it is something irrelevant in the history of Guerlain. Assuming this, it is a white, homely composition, pretty and pleasant, but ultimately it comes across as insidious, smelling of dirty mouth due to the blend of melon, hibiscus, almond blossom, and peony, all flaccid notes with a raw, greasy aftertaste.

I regret that I did not like the mimosa note; it did not suit me. It is very long-lasting and has a good trail, but unfortunately, it is not to my taste. I gifted it to my mother, and she used it up quickly because she did like it. I suppose the perfume is of excellent quality, but simply did not click with me.

Elegant with excellent projection, neither vulgar nor strident. It is a Guerlain gem. Not exactly like Amarige, but it features blackcurrants, flowers, fruits, vanilla, and sandalwood. Perfect for everyday wear.
