Descripción

Honey by Marc Jacobs is a fruity floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2013, this composition was created by Annie Buzantian and Ann Gottlieb. The top notes reveal a punch of pear and mandarin; the heart unfolds with honeysuckle, orange blossom and peach; while the base notes settle on honey, vanilla and woody notes.

  • Pear dominates. It’s very fruity, with a soapy touch. I’m not sure if it would overwhelm if I wore it daily, but it does have good longevity.

Full of pear with no honey. It’s sweet and fresh, with a youthful look. It sounds a bit generic, nothing like anything original. It doesn’t go badly, but it doesn’t give me goosebumps either.

Full of pear and without honey. It’s sweet and fresh, with a youthful look. It sounds a bit generic, nothing like something original. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t give me goosebumps.

  • I wore it today… You need to wait at least five minutes for the honey to come through. I prefer the Dot, though I see this one as more suitable for hot days thanks to that slight soapy touch.

  • I was on a quick errand, short on time and inclination, when I spotted this bottle – so original, fun and pretty. The scent appealed to me quite a bit; I couldn’t test it on skin but it seemed interesting: a very well-balanced honey with fruity notes. What really caught my eye was that original touch I’d never tried before, I think it was the punch. Worth it, I’ll test it on skin and if it convinces me, it will be a pleasure to have this bottle and fragrance in my collection.

  • I was looking for something sweet and soft and I found it. At first it smells of pear and tangerine, then the honey comes out very subtly. It doesn’t project much, but it stays on my skin. I love the bottle, it’s gorgeous. I wouldn’t get tired of it 🙂

  • I was looking for something sweet and soft and found this; I liked it. At first, it smells of pear and mandarin, then a very subtle honey emerges. It doesn’t have much sillage, but the scent does last on my skin. I adore the bottle; it’s a beautiful flask. I wouldn’t tire of this perfume 🙂

  • Absolutely, it’s a summer or spring perfume. Fresh, sweet, energetic, and youthful. The packaging is stunning, and the butterflies make you imagine a very spring-like scent, full of flowers. What I like most at first is the pear, tangerine, and a fresh green touch. On my skin, the floral notes then emerge, fresh and sweet: honeysuckle, a hint of anise, orange blossom, and roses. I don’t detect the peach. Over time, it softens, leaving honey, vanilla, woods, and flowers, which is very pleasant. The longevity is decent: 3 hours on skin at its peak, then it fades, but the base notes linger until 10 hours (very softly). You need to apply it several times; two sprays aren’t enough. I think it’s better than its sibling DOT; it wins on longevity and aroma, even in the bottle. I recommend it for sunny days, outdoors, and daytime wear. It’s almost timeless, like classic colognes. You can use it from age 12 to 60 without issues. It’s suitable for work or going out with friends without being cloying. I already have the Honey and the Dot; I’m missing the Pink Honey… Has anyone tried it? Which notes last longer and for how many hours? Thanks.

  • Definitely the quintessential summer or spring fragrance. Fresh, sweet, and brimming with youthful energy. The bottle is gorgeous; those butterflies make you imagine a super spring-like scent, full of flowers. In the top notes, pear, mandarin, and a fresh green touch stand out. On my skin, the heart is floral, fresh, and sweet: honeysuckle, a hint of anise, orange blossom, and roses. I don’t detect the peach. Over time, it softens, leaving honey, vanilla, woods, and flowers (perhaps violets), which is very pleasant. The longevity is decent: three hours at its peak before fading, but the base notes linger for up to ten hours (very softly). It needs multiple applications; two sprays aren’t enough. I prefer its sibling DOT, which surpasses it in longevity, scent blend, and packaging. I’d recommend it for sun and outdoors. It’s almost timeless, like classic colognes; people from 12 to 60 wear it. Ideal for work or going out with friends without being overpowering. I already own Honey and Dot, and I’m missing the Pink Honey… Has anyone tried it? Which notes last longer and for how many hours?

Long-lasting, fresh, fruity… The first thing you notice is the citrus aroma, although it never disappears. As the minutes pass, honey appears. I like it very much, not for daily wear, but yes, for summer nights.

Let reviews be based on satisfaction and the memories products bring. I’ve had bad experiences with big brands and magnificent ones with lesser-known labels. The Honey is everything a fancy fragrance should never be: grating, cloying, annoying, characterless, and predictable. It’s like a fruit salad to which too much artificial sweetener has been added until the flavour becomes repulsive. If you want to recreate Marc Jacobs’ Honey: go to the kitchen, mix all the chopped fruit you have, add two bags of sugar, a litre of honey, and a white flower on top to make it look nice. If you followed the instructions, you’ll have the visual image of the scent. It reminds me of a spoilt child’s tantrum that won’t stop screaming until their mother gives in, until their nerves snap. The only good thing is the longevity and trail… which must be wonderful for those who like it. But I’m not in that group. If you like it, use it without shame.

Let reviews be based on satisfaction and the memories the product evokes, and primarily on pleasing personal tastes. I’ve had bad experiences with big brands and magnificent ones with some lesser-known labels. Honey is everything an expensive fragrance should never be: grating, cloying, annoying, characterless, and predictable. It’s the recreation of a fruit salad to which too much artificial sweetener has been added until the flavour becomes repulsive. To recreate Marc Jacobs’ Honey: chop up all the fruit you can find, add two bags of sugar, a litre of honey… and a white flower on top to make it look attractive. If you followed instructions correctly, you’ll have the visual image of the scent. It reminds me of a tantrum of a spoilt child who won’t stop screaming until their mother gives in, just in case their nerves snap. The only good thing is the longevity and trail… which must be wonderful for those who like it. But I’m not in that group. If you like it, wear it without shame.

  • It’s very fresh and youthful for spring and summer, with long-lasting fruity notes. I don’t know, but even without pineapple, it gives me the impression of, or reminds me of, pineapple sweets.

  • I have a love-hate relationship with this perfume. The opening is cheerful and refreshing, but after a few seconds, it turns into a truly overwhelming ‘mélange’ of fruits. I detect no honey at all, and its scent feels more like a ‘body mist’ than a perfume with such a high price tag.

  • VainillaDulce

Another pretty bottle from Marc Jacobs (they’ve done several in different shades), but with a very simple scent and, in my humble opinion, lacking creativity. The Honey smells to me like a fruit salad (I detect banana, which isn’t listed), with the overpowering pear dominating, accompanied by sweet orange and peach. They’ve added lots of honey, with a timid vanilla at the base. It lacks personality, grace, or spark. It’s a pleasant scent but nothing more; I think it’s more for little girls than for teenagers or women over 30; I doubt it will captivate us. Also, its trail is soft and the longevity is low, lasting barely a couple of hours on blotting paper.

  • VainillaDulce

Another beautiful Marc Jacobs bottle (the firm is well-known for its various shades), with a very simple fragrance. In my opinion, zero creativity. Honey smells to me like a plate of fruit (I detect banana, a note not described), with the overpowering pear taking centre stage, accompanied by sweet orange and peach, to which they’ve added lots of honey and a timid vanilla base. It lacks personality, grace, or spark; it’s pleasant but nothing more. I think it’s more for little girls than for teenagers, young women, or those of us past thirty. I doubt it will captivate us. Also, the trail is soft and the longevity is low; it lasts about two hours on blotting paper.

  • I’ve had this for a few years… I loved it at first, but then it started to cloy me. It was that mix of crushed fruits and honey you’ve described. I had to give it away.

  • Just bought it. It’s pretty and soft; I think I purchased it more for the bottle, but I’ve grown to like it. I wouldn’t wear it every day, but it has a nice trail.

  • Rosa del Mar

This wonder has just arrived. The first thing I notice is the punch, with very prominent citrus peels, pear, and honeysuckle filling the space. Gradually, it fades, giving way to peach and a very subtle honey; I can’t detect the other ingredients, but they must help with the top notes. It lasts about six hours. I find it soft, perfect for mild, gloomy, or rainy days. It smells like freshly cut honeysuckle, sunshine, and spring… I love it. The bottle literally embodies the perfume.

  • Sharlette

Bought it blindly because the bottle is gorgeous, but watch out: don’t believe the reviews; the best way is to test it on your skin. It’s super special and everyone smells it differently. On me, it starts with juicy pear, then shifts to something soft with honey, a touch of vanilla, and a fruit punch scent. It’s fresh, elegant, and perfect for spring or summer. The trail is soft and lasts 6 hours on skin, 9 on clothes.

Bought it blindly because the bottle is gorgeous. Warning: don’t be swayed by reviews; the best way to judge is to test it on your skin. It’s very special and everyone smells it differently. For me, it starts with a juicy pear, then shifts to a soft honey scent with a hint of vanilla and a touch of fruit punch. It’s fresh, elegant, and perfect for spring and summer. The trail is soft, lasting about six hours on skin and up to nine on clothes.

  • In its opening, the fruit punch is very noticeable. In its dry down, more than pear or peach, it smells like a freshly cut ripe Fuji apple with a touch of honey. It lasts about four hours on my skin with a moderate trail. The best perfume if you love the smell of ripe apple. Besides, the bottle design is incredibly beautiful.

  • The first time I applied it to my skin I loved it, but then I found it very sweet. The first scent I notice is a mixture of tangerine and pear. After half an hour, I feel a mixture of peach, pear and honey; however, I notice the honey is artificial. I also have a love-hate relationship with this perfume, as the opening is cheerful and fresh, but as I said, it later turns into a very sweet fruit mixture. I would use it in spring during the day.

  • This fragrance is a complete NO for me. I tried and tried several times because it was a gift from my boyfriend who, unfortunately, inadvertently suggested it to me when I saw the bottle and I loved it, but NO. That tangerine and I suppose the punch note with the honey make it an extremely artificial and not at all pleasant scent; I don’t like its opening, its heart, or its dry down. And the only reason I choose to keep it is because it was a gift. Another bad and no minor point: its bottle is of deplorable quality. Since I’ve had it, the gold plaque indicating the name has peeled off at least four times, the two wings of the cap have broken several times, and the inner gold rim of the cap has turned black and sticky, which is very uncomfortable.

  • This fragrance is a resounding NO for me. I tried it several times because it was a gift from my boyfriend; unfortunately, I suggested he buy it when I saw the bottle and loved it, but NO. That tangerine and the punch note with honey make it an extremely artificial and unpleasant scent. I don’t like the opening, the heart, or the dry-down. The only reason I keep it is because it was a gift. Another bad and significant point: the bottle quality is dreadful. Since I’ve had it, the gold name plate has peeled off at least four times, the cap wings have broken several times, and the inner gold rim has turned black and sticky, which is very uncomfortable.

  • I acquired this perfume recently, even after reading the negative comments about it, and it really smells artificial, like a new doll, a typical cheap perfume smell although it’s not that cheap for its quality; I wouldn’t buy it again. The bottle is pretty and has good projection.

  • The same thing happened to me as other girls have commented. I wanted to give it a chance despite the negative reviews I’ve seen, as I thought the notes suited my taste in perfume, however, I must say it didn’t kill me. It’s a very simple, fruity perfume and that’s it. It has absolutely nothing special. The honey feels extremely light, its trail is quite weak and the longevity is non-existent. Although I like the scent, it lasts about three hours on me. I wouldn’t recommend it to be honest.

  • I can’t stand it. I think it’s the punch; I notice it too much. It’s the only note my other perfumes don’t have. I don’t usually wear perfume at night; the day it arrived, I was so eager to smell it that I applied it and went to bed shortly after; a few hours later I woke up feeling terrible, suffering the worst gastroenteritis of my life. Since then, I’ve developed a strong dislike for it.

I encountered the original formula or whatever it was, and on a friend it smelled like Alba Botanica’s discontinued cocoa shampoo; so I looked it up and when I smelled it, it was horrible. Too much honey, yet I couldn’t get the scent out of my mind and wanted to buy it. Years later I found it online and purchased it. The bottle has changed, and so has the formula because it doesn’t smell so much of honey anymore, and the tangerine is very noticeable. I must say that once applied, I feel it is vibrant, fun, daring and fresh. It lifted my spirits. When it dries, I feel it a bit powdery and woody. However, I don’t know if it’s giving me olfactory fatigue or something, as I can’t perceive it on my skin. Nevertheless, I try not to apply too much because the scent could be an acquired taste, as tangerine with honey 🤔 It smells good, but it’s not for everyone.

  • The bottle is divine, but the scent is very unpleasant… sorry. I’m keeping it only as decoration. I don’t know what it is, whether it’s the honey or something else, but it just doesn’t work 😪

  • The bottle is divine, but the scent is very ugly… sorry. It’s only left for decoration. I don’t know what it is, whether it’s the honey or something else, but it just doesn’t work 😪

  • I love sweet perfumes, but I have to admit that the only nice thing about this is the bottle. It smells like cheap cologne that my grandmother used, and it lasts for nothing and has no projection.
