Today I went to the perfumerie to buy a Daisy. I was dying to get one, not because of the cute bottles, but because my city is at 40 degrees with a heat index of 43 and I really need refreshing perfumes; I couldn’t bear using others right now. Among the Marc Jacobs options were Daisy Daze and Shine, neither of which I liked; this time this one and the Eau So Fresh (perhaps I’ll return for that) both in their original versions were my favourites. After buying it, I went home, took a refreshing shower and put it on for a small gathering. Really, I didn’t get more than a few compliments from my family in the car and a friend who hugged me, and honestly I didn’t need them because what I felt for personal enjoyment was enough. The scent is quite floral, I sense mainly the violet, gardenia and jasmine; as time passes, the vanilla and musk appear. The dry-down is generic, but delicious and pleasant, it keeps me very relaxed. It lasts on my skin about 5 hours and the trail I felt was close to the skin. Positive points: you could spray 10 times without getting dizzy or suffocated, it’s ideal for hot climates, as a scent for personal enjoyment it’s wonderful because it keeps you happy and relaxed and it’s super versatile. Negative points: low longevity, little trail and for the price you could buy another with better performance. If you like soft scents, go ahead. Finally, a plus: if you like Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDT, this resembles it with slight differences (I like Eau Tendre more); Chanel lasts twice as long on my skin and has a wider trail, but that said, it is more expensive. Overall rating 8/10.

  • It’s very delicious, I tried it because they say it resembles Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, but I can’t find the similarity. This Daisy is more floral, I sense quite a bit of violet and I perceive it as sweeter. I don’t know if it’s too youthful, but it is definitely feminine. It leaves a very soft and delicate scent on the skin, but it doesn’t last long.

  • Lady Spritz

A perfect perfume. I’ve already decided to keep it as my signature. I’ve fallen in love with it exactly as it is. I like it much more than Chanel Chance and on top of that, it suits my budget better. Very, very delicious, refined and elegant. A fragrance that is nothing intrusive but addictive.

  • I used Daisy for the first time yesterday and went to the shopping centre. Honestly, 9 people asked me what I was wearing. In the lift, in 3 shops, in the beauty salon and the ticket scanner. Ladies, if you want to captivate, this is the ideal option. It is a spectacular and powerful fragrance. People who don’t even know you will ask what you’re wearing. 10/10.

  • A very comfortable fragrance, floral sweetness just right, it stays close to the skin (you won’t kill anyone with this, not even if you over-apply). It claims to have aquatic accords but they are very soft, fortunately, because I hate aquatic fragrances. The longevity is very low; after 3 hours it’s already close to the skin.

  • It is very feminine, floral and with a sweet touch. It’s gorgeous. For spring-summer it’s stunning and on my skin it has good longevity. Soft to moderate trail.

  • For my birthday I wanted something different; honestly, they had just launched it and I was attracted to the flower packaging, that was the reason for the purchase. But upon using it, I consider I had too many expectations with this fragrance 🙁

  • Lau Covas

It’s a lovely perfume. Very fresh, floral, feminine and perfect for spring-summer. I like the scent a lot, but I feel its trail and performance are very poor. At first you perfectly sense the grapefruit, violet leaves and strawberries. Gradually it develops until you notice the flowers. It’s not a new scent but it’s pretty. The longevity is at most 4 to 6 hours. But it is an EDT, so I didn’t expect much more.

  • Daisy is a classy, elegant fragrance that is nothing intrusive. It has a luminous opening, slightly fresh due to the grapefruit and violet leaves which give a subtle green touch, not the typical grassy note. The strawberry fruit note isn’t what one expects, not even with imagination; perhaps it’s not burnt strawberry but its acidic side, yet this allows the fresh floral note of freesia to shine through more. A lovely accord of very luminous white flowers, like gardenias, over a background of musk, woods, and a super subtle vanilla that keeps it from being intrusive.

A few months ago, I went for creams and took the opportunity to smell some perfumes. One was Nina Ricci Luna and it didn’t do anything for me, but I couldn’t stop smelling this one until it ran out, so I skipped the skin test and ordered it straight for my birthday (not very subtle). Since they gifted it to me three weeks ago, I haven’t worn any other perfume except Alien when going out. It suits the heat well, from 30 degrees upwards, without being intrusive. The most important thing is that it’s a gem; every time I wear it, I’m overwhelmed with happiness and my mood lifts. I know it sounds cheesy, but it is. I haven’t worn the same perfume for more than a week in years. It has violet, one of my favourite notes, but it’s not that intrusive and rude violet like Lolita Lempicka’s, but rather a greener, serene, fresh, and youthful one. It’s simple, and that’s not always bad. I understand that many may see it as an adolescent perfume because of the presentation, but honestly, it’s simple enough to wear at any age and in any situation. The longevity is weak, but it lasts four hours without any issue. And when a scent is this delicious, I don’t mind reapplying to feel it again.

  • I LOVE IT! It’s my second perfume from the Marc Jacobs line (waiting for the third). It lasts all day, especially on clothes. I’ve received many compliments on the scent.

  • annascandal

I love it! It makes me want to smell my hand all day. It suits any weather, even in winter. When I put it on, I feel like a good little girl, trouble-free, a saint 🤣. It’s fresh but sweet, floral, and super ozonic. It lasts me about five hours on the skin. To each their own, but for me, it’s perfect ❤️.

  • So delicious! I don’t mind that it’s an EDT; it’s a ‘mood booster’ that radiates joy and good vibes. Maximum freshness, with a fresh sweetness like white grape or sweet white wine. I adore it; although it’s better for summer and spring, it doesn’t bother in autumn or winter. It gives you the energy to face the day with more joy. As an EDT, it doesn’t leave a trail and lasts a few hours, but it feels delicious and is worth reapplying.

  • ParfumAddict

A beautiful, floral, and super fresh fragrance that conveys joy and calm, ideal for summer. The only drawback is that it lasts very little; almost nothing. By four hours, I can’t even smell it on my clothes. It disappoints me because I love it and adore Morillas’ work, but it’s not worth the price if it doesn’t last. Hopefully, they fix that; it would be perfect.

  • I love this perfume: it’s soft, lovely, and gives me peace. It’s elegant yet light, perfect for everyday wear or dinner. I recommend trying it before you buy!

  • Frambuesas

It’s like a bouquet of wild violets with grapefruit and strawberry. I prefer the Eau So Intense because it’s stronger and has that sweet moss scent when dry, but I can’t imagine my collection without the original Daisy. I adore violets, and although some may see it as generic, it remains a marvel.

  • Floral, synthetic, and with a stinging note that doesn’t convince; it smells like plastic or burnt rubber. Zero longevity.

  • Amorperfumado

Fresh floral with a bitter woody touch and a hint of sweetness. It smells comforting and is easy to wear, although the trail and longevity are low to moderate (around four hours). It’s pricey for what it offers, but the scent is recognisable. Ideal for the office or elegant events.

  • A floral, fresh aroma, somewhat synthetic but pleasant. Ideal for use on hot days. It has a certain similarity to Chance Eau Tendre, although the latter feels less synthetic and more fruity. Longevity and sillage are terrible.

  • Today’s Daisy is not the same as before; what a shame! It’s a BBW body mist that barely lasts an hour on the skin, whereas previously it was delicate and lasted longer. For nearly $70, it’s just alcohol with some flowers; don’t waste your money.

  • Cindyballesterost

I just bought this fragrance; as soon as I smelled it, I loved it, although I already have the Daisy Eau So Fresh and they are very similar. Upon analysing them, I can say they have the same opening but change on the skin after a few seconds. Sincerely, I like the original more than the Daisy Eau So Fresh; it’s softer, the scent like sweet flowers, whereas the other develops a citrus note after a few seconds, which I don’t like much. I tolerate it, but it’s not to my liking.

  • I never quite got it; I think the strawberry note alone just doesn’t convince me. Over time it has become very popular and easy to spot among people.

  • Am I the only one, or does this fragrance not last at all? The scent itself is lovely, but it’s a shame it’s so weak. Is it my bottle?? I feel it vanished as soon as I applied it, after about 8 sprays. I’ve wanted to buy it for ages but I’m very disappointed with the longevity and projection; honestly, I can smell my laundry detergent more than the perfume.

  • WineAndRoses

I LOVE this fragrance, but… I had my sights set on it for daily use as my comfort scent. I had a decant recently and decided to order it as a Christmas gift. What a disappointment 🥹… it doesn’t last an hour. After a shower, with lotion, with wax… I’ve tried everything but it simply doesn’t adhere. It’s a pity, truly; I thought I’d found my ideal perfume. Ozonic violets, slightly cloying sweetness, a sweet springtime scent with little acidic touches. It’s fresh and sweet like spring! DAISY is certainly a wonder, but with me, it projects nothing and lasts nothing… I’m very sad:-( I’ll try the Intense to see how that goes.

  • Dama Incognita

At first, it has a good opening with the violet, citrus, and red fruit. Over time, the white florals take over; combined with the citrus and musk, I didn’t like it as much, as the violet is my favourite note. However, for those who prefer a fragrance with this note that isn’t powdery but fresh, this could be a good option. I agree that the longevity on the skin (at least on mine) isn’t high.

  • Jahairalbarragan

It smells almost identical to Chance EAU Tendré; I barely notice a difference between them despite having different notes. I like both 🥰. But Daisy is a bit more affordable than the Chance.

  • Fresh, youthful, and fruity, like jelly, blending very well with the florals, which are the best part of this perfume. It dries down slightly soapy without forgetting the earlier notes. It has its audience. The issue is I wouldn’t buy it because it doesn’t last at all.

  • I was gifted this years ago, gave it several tries, and eventually gave it away. It smelled very artificial and cloyingly sweet, like mosquito repellent 😬😁. I see people comparing it to a Chance variant, which I also dislike, so it definitely wasn’t for me.

  • Blabbychip94

Citrusy and airy; the ozonic note is strong at first but dissipates quickly to reveal clean, soapy florals. It’s not fresh but not invasive either, smelling like clean laundry with a touch of sweetness. It feels casual, perfect for everyday wear or the office, but nothing for special occasions.

  • AntaresAres

Daisy by Marc Jacobs is all light and joy, a graceful fragrance with a softly acidic and herbal opening. I detect mostly the violet, very green, and an unripe strawberry. It’s innocent, radiant and… also a little insipid and synthetic. But it’s forgiven because it has the potential to please everyone with its heart of white flowers. It’s like the laughter of a group of teenagers running on a sunny spring day, very youthful and, yet, not at all sweet (thank you!). Its lack of pretension and that tender simplicity are appreciated, although it could last a little longer; its performance is really poor.

  • Fresh, luminous and youthful. It reminds me of my adolescence and when I first started dating my boyfriend. I have an affection for it, but the scent is somewhat basic.

  • Guided by the reviews, the notes and its creator, Alberto Morillas, I thought: ‘this has to be spectacular’. Total disappointment. Regarding the scent, it’s generic; it smells like a body mist. And as for performance, it’s poor: extremely expensive, requires frequent reapplication and doesn’t shine. They might say: ‘Deborah, it also lacks exotic notes’. But I’m not into exotic perfumes; it seems they use low-quality ingredients. I don’t smell anything natural in it. Anyway.

  • Daisy by Marc Jacobs is an addictive and charming floral-fruity nectar. Its fruity and fresh sweetness emerges from the very beginning, thanks to the violet and strawberry with citrus accords. I usually don’t enjoy sweet perfumes, but this one isn’t cloying. It settles into the floral phase where the violet takes centre stage, followed later by musk and woods. I barely detect vanilla and I appreciate that, as it’s well-integrated. I own both fragrances and for me, Chanel’s Chance EDP is practically a clone of Daisy, although the latter is more intense and long-lasting on my skin, making the investment much more worthwhile. Additionally, I find the scent of Chance (I don’t have the EDT) more synthetic than Daisy’s; this sweetness seems more natural, with that lovely ‘nectarine’ effect, charming and youthful, like the nectar of flowers on a spring day. It requires quite a bit of reapplication to prolong its longevity, although given the price and the well-being effect, it doesn’t bother me. I see it as ideal for spring and autumn, with moderate fixation and projection. Its little bottle is adorable to collect, with a beautiful and award-winning design.

  • AijaWahlman

From the very first moment it conveys freshness and softness. Over time it reveals warm notes, ideal for both day and night. A balanced and very pleasant aroma.

  • AlineTan_val

An aroma as only Alberto Morillas knows how to create: a perfect blend of floral, fruity and powdery notes in harmonious balance. I find it timeless, suitable for any age or season, though better suited for spring. It leaves a lasting impression and stays in the memory. Perhaps it’s more for women over 30, as today’s generation tends to seek out sweet and gourmand scents. If you like fresh florals, like straight out of the shower, this is for you. I love it, despite not being a fan of white florals or ozonic notes; here they are well-balanced and not tiring.

  • El michi coquette

I apologise for the very balanced review: it’s neither overly floral, yet has a musky and sweet touch at the same time. Ideal for those starting out with florals or perfumery, it’s super versatile for almost anything without overwhelming anyone.

  • I’m a man and I gifted this to my mother, who is over 55, and it was a total success. It’s feminine, fresh and timeless, perfectly balancing the floral, powdery and fresh notes, finishing with that typical acidic twist found in floral bouquets. P.S. Upon trying Byredo’s MOJAVE GHOST, Daisy by Marc Jacobs instantly popped into my mind.
