Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs

Daisy Dream requires patience; that is the key phrase of my review. It needs time to macerate to reveal its full potential. I encountered it in a department store and, upon smelling it, I was instantly taken. To me, it smells luxurious, clean, and like a feminine, polished, and powerful woman—that power of self-care and delicacy. I bought it in 2020. The first time I applied it, I was disappointed because it smelled only of alcohol and didn’t last at all, but since I already owned it, I used it occasionally until years passed and the magic of maceration took over on its own. It no longer smells of alcohol; its strength, trail, and longevity have increased so much that sometimes I was tired of carrying it. My peak moment was a few months ago at my parents’ house; my brother walked all the way through the house and told me, ‘I can smell your perfume from over there.’ Wow! If you like it, I recommend patience and viewing it in the long term. It is feminine, fresh, delicate, slightly sweet, youthful, and spring-like, pleasant for almost everyone. It could be a spring-summer staple, worth trying with patience.

I really like it for spring and summer; it is the most feminine perfume I own and yet I still enjoy it. I hate perfumes that are too sweet, so Daisy Dream gives me a comfortable balance between floral, fruity, and sweetness. I wear it in warm climates. Perhaps in winter it deserves a try, as the cold would give it another character. It is quite youthful and feminine, a bit playful but nothing invasive.

It is like a hug from a friend: it lasts relatively little, but it is enough to comfort the soul and linger in memory. I smelled it before losing my sense of smell due to COVID, and upon recovering it, it felt subtle, so I used it daily. I loved the effect on my skin, so I wore it to my spring wedding as something ‘blue’, applying it several times. I believe it is important to wear something that makes you feel comfortable on your skin on that day, rather than rushing to try a new trend.

Delicate, harmonious, youthful, and spring-like. I tried it years ago on a trip and although I didn’t buy it, I always kept it on my wishlist because I liked its aroma. I was able to buy it recently and I love it. It is extremely floral with a citrus touch, ideal for spring and summer, for those hot days where I seek something fresh and wearable. Just what I needed, as I have several sweet and gourmand perfumes and wanted something different, a soft and versatile floral for daily use in the heat season. It has a special touch from the wisteria note, which I find very interesting and few perfumes have. Although it is soft, it has a perceptible trail and generates compliments. On my skin it lasts about 4 or 5 hours, then I reapply, but it is not bad for an EDT. I find it very feminine and ethereal, transporting me to a meadow of natural flowers. Without a doubt, a very good option if you like delicate florals.

Why must the bottle be so beautiful? That is the only thing stopping me from using it. That blue is my favourite shade, but the aroma sounds very alcoholic to me. Generally I like the Daisy line, but I don’t perceive any notes other than that alcohol smell. It feels clean, but I don’t detect notes; it gives a sensation of a hair fixative, like with YSL Parisienne due to the shared notes of blackberry and musk. I don’t know if it is because mine is an old batch and has evaporated, as I see that recent ones come without flowers and my bottle still has the little flowers.

Oh dear, Alberto Morillas seems to make all perfumes the same. It smells very similar to Omnia Coral by Bvlgari. People say Omnia Coral resembles Daisy Eau So Fresh, which in turn is like the classic version, so most Marc Jacobs scents smell identical. 😡 It’s unfair; they just change the bottle while the scent remains the same. The aroma is nice, but they all smell the same, varying only in price. Even if I haven’t tried Daisy, if you already own it, don’t buy Omnia or this one either, as they are very similar. 🙄

Undoubtedly, a beautiful presentation with soft, sweet notes. It’s a nice, subtle, and feminine scent. If you want to smell good without being intrusive, it’s a good option. I like it for daily wear, fresh and clean. However, if you want to stand out and be easily noticed, it’s not your choice; the trail is not marked and the longevity is average… it depends on everyone. It lasts quite a while for me, but generally, I am someone with long-lasting fixation. For others, it lasts averagely. It’s worth it, smells lovely, and looks nice; I adore the coconut and blackberry notes. But if you are looking for a scent that truly represents you, look for other options.

Pleasant and subtle fragrance, youthful and ideal for spring. It has a beautiful bottle. However, it has been one of my worst choices; after half an hour, I can’t smell it anymore, it has no trail, or it is very light. It’s not worth its price.

I want it, I could only smell the sample. It’s a delicate aroma; it made me think of my clean nightgown, not cotton, but it reminds you of that comfort. It’s the perfume people say you wear at home or in the mall, super versatile for daily use, like a pair of white trainers in 2021, it goes with almost everything. You could use it like Daisy Dream, so I want it in my collection; there are few aromas like that in this vibe. I’ve got it now and yes, I confirm what I wrote.

Ridiculously soft for the price. It lasts nothing; consider that if you buy it, perhaps it’s not a good investment. I didn’t distinguish the highlighted notes, but I did find that it has the base of Versace’s Yellow Diamond, especially when it dries. Something very faint and pleasant, but for that, I prefer Yellow Diamond which lasts longer ☺️ Added note: Bella by Nina Ricci also resembles Yellow Diamond, so Daisy Dream smells familiar with those two.

A sweet and soft fragrance; you can really detect the blackberry and coconut. It’s perfect for daytime use, giving a youthful touch.

It’s nice, but nothing special; it feels like catalogue perfume. Although many of these last longer, this one doesn’t even reach that. I tested it with a Decadence cream, and the cream was very noticeable, whereas the Daisy was almost imperceptible after a while. It’s fine for a young girl who has just left school and likes soft perfumes. Anyway, bread and butter.

A nice and pleasant perfume, nothing more. I’ve used it several times hoping to find something new, but nothing happens. It doesn’t disappoint, but it doesn’t excite either. It smells clean, like fresh white sheets for a good summer rest. What does it actually smell like? Primarily flowers, musk, and a juicy pear base. It lasts 4 to 5 hours, and the trail leaves much to be desired; even if you apply a lot, it only smells close to the skin. It was nice to meet it, but I definitely wouldn’t buy it. To be my first Marc Jacobs, it has fallen short.

A good option if you like an attar-like scent in summer, as it’s very soft, which becomes a drawback in winter because it’s too subtle. I wish someone would release something similar but more intense, as it costs its weight in gold and is barely enjoyable. The bottle is beautiful and I like the glycyrrhiza note; there are few perfumes with that note. It’s an innocent and tender scent, one of the ones I like.

A youthful, lovely, and pleasant perfume. It’s a fruit cocktail that envelops. Beautiful presentation, like many others from Marc Jacobs. Moderate trail, although it fixes quite well (at least on my skin).
