Descripción

Daisy Wild by Marc Jacobs is a women's fragrance from the floral family. Launched in 2024, this composition was created by Sonia Constant, Roxanne Kirkpatrick and Adriana Medina-Baez. The top note presents the freshness of the banana flower; the heart reveals the elegance of jasmine and the creaminess of macadamia; while the base settles on the warm wood of vetiver and sandalwood.

If you’re looking for the little banana scent of Perfec Intense or Divine Decadence, forget it. I was left underwhelmed. It smells nice, generic, sugary, and very current. The opening promises well, but the dry-down is super generic. A fragrance that passes without making much of an impression.

  • I loved the opening; it’s citrusy and floral, different from the rest of Marc Jacobs. However, as it dries down, it smells just like any other fragrance from the brand…

  • jennjenncl

I liked it a lot, but the longevity on skin is scarce, around four hours, with little projection.

  • Miireyaps

Smelled it at the airport and it’s so lovely. To me, it smells like well-sugared chewing gum, a total gourmand scent. 💚

  • Bought it blind due to the hype. Saw the box at an airport without testers, so I looked for it on Vinted. Upon testing, the opening smelled of banana for five seconds, then turned green and sweet (like sugar). Sold it the same day. It’s not for me, but I think my expectations were off.

  • Exquisite for spring. It doesn’t resemble Perfect at all. The bottle is beautiful. Lasts 4-5 hours on skin with moderate projection and sillage.

  • Perfumiris

It’s like a banana sweet with green notes, creamy and fruity, very spring-like. Reminded me of Versace Eros pour Femme EDT; it has the same vibe and they are very similar.

  • Cherryblush

Tested on blotter and skin: powerful and sweet opening, then softens into a clean, floral scent typical of Daisy. Lasts about three hours on skin, perhaps longer on clothes. It’s a shame because it smells delicious, but I wouldn’t buy it due to the longevity and price; if I find it cheap, I might give it a try. It lasts a couple of hours longer than Daisy Love.

This happens when I test it on my skin straight away without reading the notes. I don’t know what banana flower smells like, but the opening was a sweet, verdant note like Claudie Pierlot plum that lasted only minutes. Then the banana arrived, but not the fruit, which might have been amusing, but rather a bright yellow banana chewy sweet covered in sugar, which is awful. In Daisy Wild, there’s nothing of the original Daisy, which I wore happily for most of my twenties; they don’t even share notes, which confirms my suspicions about flankers: they aren’t variations but a cash-in on success, a trick.

I’ll start by warning that Marc Jacobs has been a great disappointment for me. The ones I’ve tried seem okay but never blew my mind. I also want to point out that almost all the Daisys left something to be desired in terms of performance. And yet, they are designer perfumes that nowadays retail between 75 and 80 euros, so there’s no excuse to be lax with their longevity, sillage, and projection. Anyway, I managed to try this launch, which for some reason beyond my comprehension wasn’t easy to find. Hype? I don’t know, but the truth is there are samples in-store but not the bottle itself. Something very strange… I had already made up my mind and knew their argument was the banana flower, which comes out beautifully and very green, extremely green. This is correct because a banana flower scent dressed up as gourmand wouldn’t have worked with their audience. The problem is that this opening lasts less than a lollipop in a school gate. The white floral part is noticeable, but not the macadamia (a pity) which quickly fuses with the vetiver and sandal base. This gives it a real unisex touch. It reminds me of the fleeting green of my Balenciaga Florabotanica, now discontinued, but I wouldn’t substitute it at all; this takes a different path. As I said, it’s restrained and not a projector, but for the season it’s made for (spring-summer), it doesn’t feel heavy. So it doesn’t overwhelm in the heat. In the dry-down, the vetiver is quite noticeable; it’s not rustic or earthy (as I like), this is more leaning towards a clean, musky vetiver. I think it’s a fairly interesting Daisy, one that abandons very quickly the note that makes it special (Banana Flower), and with a price I find high for what it is. Cheers. This happens to me when I try it on my skin straight away without reading the notes. I have no idea what banana flower smells like, but the opening seemed like a sweet verdant type of Claudie Pierlot plum that lasted only a few minutes. Then the banana arrived, but not the fruit, which could have been amusing, but rather a chewy yellow banana gum covered in sugar, a nightmare. In Daisy Wild, there’s nothing of the original Daisy, which I wore happily for much of my twenties; they don’t even share notes, which confirms my suspicions about the marketing of flankers: they aren’t variations, but an exploitation of success, a trick.

I tried it on blotter paper and loved it at first. I thought it was rich and original, kept the little paper in my pocket, and a while later I smelled it again and thought: bah, I already have this… What does it resemble? It seemed like My Way. It has the vibes of that one, and considering it comes at $160… I’ll stick with my My Way, happily.

  • I tried it in a perfumery and it seemed to smell like a melon and watermelon smoothie. It’s a pleasant aroma, I’d like to own it, but I’m not sure if it’s worth the price and longevity.

  • I tried it on a sample once and also in perfumeries because I like the bottle; it looks original and pretty. The curious thing is that I’ve never smelled that banana note mentioned in the reviews. After wearing it for a while, it sounded familiar, and I realised it smelled like something I already own (My Way). I’ve seen the reviews and I’m not the only one. It’s strange because the notes don’t seem to match either. It seems like it doesn’t project much, but I’ve been smelling it myself for several hours. On skin, it didn’t last long for me, but generally, I don’t get much longevity from soft or fresh scents. The longevity on clothes was very impressive: it lasted all day. I want to compare both fragrances to see if they really are that similar.

  • I tried a sample once and then went to perfumeries to test it because I like the bottle, which feels original and fresh. However, I didn’t notice the banana mentioned in reviews. After wearing it for a while, it struck me that it smells like something I already own (My Way). I’ve checked and I’m not the only one. It’s strange because the notes don’t match either. It seems to have poor projection, but I’ve been smelling it for hours. On skin, it didn’t last long, but generally, soft or fresh scents don’t last long on me. On clothes, yes, it lasted all day. I want to compare both to see if they really are that similar.

  • What a crazy bottle! I truly love it; it’s brilliant in so many ways… but I’m disappointed that it only lasts about 3 hours on the skin and is so expensive. I’ll stick with Lolitaland, which is gorgeous and lasts a minimum of 10 hours.

  • Is it delicious? Yes, until you realise it smells like Bagio multifruit. At first, upon application, it smells of pure, fresh banana, like a tropical smoothie. But it only lasted 4 hours. Afterwards, it felt like a generic perfume. I’d say it’s for people under 30.

  • Well, it’s okay, I suppose. It’s one of those perfumes that should work in theory, but on my skin it does nothing and doesn’t last at all. I might give it another chance, but the last time it didn’t blow my mind, so I won’t spend that money again. Perhaps my nose was saturated. Will an edit come out saying I love it? Maybe. For now, it’s a fragrance that passes without making much of an impression. What is beautiful, however, is the bottle, with those flower stems inside. Absolutely yes. More unusual bottles, please.

  • Absolute bottle madness! I adore it, it’s incredible, but I’m disappointed it fades in just three hours and is so pricey. I’m sticking with Lolitaland instead; it’s gorgeous and lasts at least 10 hours.

  • Honestly, I absolutely loved it. It’s perfect for summer, delicious, super fresh and sweet with that fruity touch. I’m very happy with this scent. And the packaging? Spectacular, in the classic Marc style.

  • Honestly, I loved it! Perfect for summer, delicious, super fresh and sweet with fruity notes. I’m delighted with this scent. The packaging is spectacular, just like all of Marc’s.

If you like perfumes like Armani My Way, Marc Jacobs Perfect, or Prada Paradox, you’ll probably like this. Daisy Wild isn’t a dupe, but it fits that line. It’s super sweet at first, then mellows. Highlights the jasmine and banana flower. It doesn’t smell like banana, but rather the banana flower (with a very slight touch of ripe fruit). Smells green, fresh, like a jungle after rain with flowers. It’s distinct from previous Daisys due to that intense green note (like the bottle). I find it lovely, innocent, fresh, feminine, and uncomplicated. Ideal for spring/summer. Projection becomes intimate over time (better on clothes to last longer). Lasts 6-7 hours on clothes.

  • oliendobonito

If you love perfumes like Armani’s My Way or Marc Jacobs’ Perfect, you’ll likely enjoy this Daisy Wild. It’s not a clone, but it walks that path. It starts incredibly sweet before fading in intensity. The standout notes are jasmine and banana flower. Note: it smells of banana flower, not actual banana. If you’re hunting for a fruity scent, you’ll be disappointed as the fruit note is very subtle, almost imperceptible. What it does have is that green, wild touch, like after a storm in the jungle with many flowers in bloom. It’s distinct from previous Daisys due to this intense green note, noticeable even in the bottle. I find it a lovely, innocent, fresh, feminine, and carefree aroma. Ideal for spring and summer. The projection becomes intimate over time, so I’d recommend spraying it on clothes to make it last longer; on fabric, it lasted about 6 to 7 hours.

  • I read reviews complaining about the trail and longevity; they’re right. What happens is that I, like almost everyone else, love this perfume (and most Marc Jacobs scents), so I don’t care if it doesn’t project. It’s my personal enjoyment. I love the sweet opening; it’s glorious, even though it fades quickly.

  • Viviana 23

I’m absolutely loving this perfume. I love its trail and longevity. It’s perfect to wear all day; it’s not a scent that tires or becomes cloying. It’s sweet but also fresh. I love it for the beach. It’s one of my favourite scents in my collection.

  • 023amatista

I get a tropical juice, something green, not banana but the flower. It’s soft, doesn’t last very long, but it’s a scent I haven’t felt in other perfumes.

  • La Clochard

It’s a very fruity perfume. And no, it doesn’t smell like banana. In fact, it smells mostly of melon and even apple. A Gala melon, those round ones that can be orange or white inside. It feels very much in the vibe of Be Delicious by DKNY. It’s not as fresh as they say; it’s pure fruit with flowers. It has a sweet point but of ripe fruit. I can imagine there are many more notes than declared. The macadamia in the heart note really isn’t something I find or understand. I think it must work very well in summer; I’m testing it in autumn and it doesn’t suit me at all. It’s between summer and spring, and has quite a youthful air. Overall, I’ve liked it. I don’t think anyone would dislike it. I’d gift it to a girl in her early twenties, cheerful and carefree.

  • No sería la primera vez

It saddens me that, despite loving Perfect and other Marc Jacobs scents, this one tastes so bad to me, especially with how beautiful the bottle is. Fresh, yes, somewhat tropical, but it gives me the sensation of taking my dog to the garden and it peeing; there’s something acidic and sharp that, combined with the green notes, makes it impossible for me to wear. I’ve tested it twice in-store and still haven’t managed to like it.

  • It’s one of my favourite perfumes. I’m a man but I prefer floral and fruity fragrances usually associated with women. This is a perfect balance as it has a delicious aroma but isn’t cloying, ideal for both men and women. The bottle and presentation are very pretty, and it’s a combination of notes suitable for everyday wear, unlike the Elixir or Absolute by Marc Jacobs which feel more suited to special or elegant occasions.

  • I tested it by chance at the airport because the packaging was lovely and I fell in love. It’s a perfect perfume for summer; it feels fresh and clean but remains sweet and addictive. Personally, I found it very fruity (though it’s not listed in the notes) and there’s absolutely no banana smell. It’s really a perfume you need to try before buying, as although I don’t think anyone could dislike it, the scent has nothing to do with the declared notes. 9/10

To each their own. I went to the mall perfumery looking for my beloved Daisy Dream; my mum gifted it to me years ago and as I was running low, I checked if they had any. The assistant mentioned it’s hard to find in Argentina, which made me a bit sad, but she recommended I try other Daisys instead. I’d already tested the original and disliked it as it turned sour on me, so I asked her to show me the others but not the original. She brought out a whole bunch of Daisys, and I started testing several until I found this 🥹. It’s delicious; I feel it has the same soul as the original but is sweeter, fruity, with a hint of freshly cut grass and floral, living up to its name. Personally, I loved it. It reminds me a bit of D Dream but sweeter, so I’m happy 😁. It lasts quite a while, over seven hours, and is ideal for hot days as it’s light yet leaves a trail; several people have complimented the scent. Personally, I don’t smell banana leaf or fruit, though there’s a note that reminds me of something like that, I just can’t identify which one. If you want a lovely, light, fresh scent and like Daisy flankers, I recommend this perfume 🩷💚💛

I absolutely love this perfume. I tested it at a perfumery and fell in love, so I’m buying my second bottle. It’s fresh, sweet but not cloying, floral and glorious. Perfect for spring and summer.
