I’ve been testing it for a few days. It has the DNA of all the Kaiaks. It opens with citrus and aquatic notes, then the violets come through, mixed with salt and marine notes to create a base that doesn’t quite appeal to me, like stagnant fruit water. It doesn’t add much; it’s a copycat little brother of Kaiak Océano.

  • It’s an aquatic floral. As soon as you put it on, you detect the marine notes; for me, this is what dominates at the start. Afterwards, the flowers emerge. It’s a fusion between Kaiak Aventura and Kaiak Océano. Who is it for? Anyone who enjoys aquatic fragrances. Longevity is 3-4 hours, with the first hour being trail-heavy and more potent.

  • To me, it’s a fusion of all the Kaiak scents at the opening, very much like Océano and Ultra blended with Aero and Vital. Later, it turns floral like Aventura. On my skin, it has good longevity. I don’t like the Kaiak line, but with this fusion, it’s wearable and fresh, not as overwhelming as Océano on my skin!

  • It’s marine, perhaps similar to Divine by JPG. I’m not sure if it’s just my impression, but I own both and to me they are identical. It smells salty and sweet. I’ve received many compliments and it doesn’t overwhelm. Truly, it’s a great dupe of Divine.

  • Perfumadict

It has that salty marine touch of JPG’s Divine, just a bit lower. Still, it gives me a sense of rejection and makes my stomach turn.

  • Perfumadict

It carries that salty marine note from Gaultier’s Divine, but much lower; it just gives me the creeps and makes my stomach churn.

  • I applied a drop to my forearm, washed it off with soap, sprayed another perfume over it, and the smell persisted 😹. It would be great if I liked it, but I don’t. I came to check the notes and now I know why: it has so many florals that linger on my skin until the next day, omg, I hate them 🤣. The opening is rich, but that floral base isn’t for me.

  • I was hoping to detect a hint of salt on my skin, but there was none. All I get is a very distant metallic scent. It’s not offensive and I don’t detest it, it’s just a fragrance that goes unnoticed. I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • MartuFragances

I would never buy this myself, I only received it as a gift exchange. It’s the same with Ekos Flor de Luar or Flores Flutuantes: it smells like stagnant water with a green beetle, that little bug that reeks when you squash it. None of the Kaiak line work for me; I think those marine notes just aren’t for me. Kaiak Orange smells like men’s shaving foam, and neither do Divine, La Belle Paradise Garden or Fleur Terrible, even though they’re similar – they just don’t suit my style.

  • Totally unisex; my husband wears it and he really gets a kick out of it. It smells fresh and marine, ideal for summer. Watch out, I recommend testing it before buying.

  • Totally unisex; my husband wears it and people keep complimenting it. It smells fresh and marine, perfect for summer. Just a note: I’d recommend testing it before buying.

Kaiak Sonar by Natura is an aromatic aquatic fragrance for men. This creation, launched in 2024, was designed by Verônica Kato and Adriana Medina-Baez. The top notes reveal a marine and herbaceous composition with sea salt, seaweed, calone, lavender, rosemary, lemon, juniper berry, statice, cardamom, marjoram, thyme, apple, black pepper, nutmeg, and Bengali pepper. The heart of the fragrance unfolds metallic and floral nuances thanks to a floralozone, cypress, geranium, valley lily, cyperus, cyclamen, and violet. Finally, the base notes anchor the composition with Atlas cedar, moss, amber, vetiver, balsam fir, musk, patchouli, sandalwood, white birch, incense, and labdanum.

It’s been a classic aquatic men’s fragrance since 2009. Don’t expect surprises; Natura has better options. It’s very similar to Kaiak Oceano due to the salty notes, but Sonar is more aromatic; the pepper and geranium make it feel generic compared to the marine and fresh character of Oceano. Performance is acceptable and the price is good, which is why I give it a thumbs up.

  • byrgertidesson

A good fresh fragrance. Comes out peppery with Natura and light woods, then shifts to citrus, icy, and salty. What’s curious is that I detect Calone throughout the entire piece, with a brief pass through geranium, amber, and incense. With its woods and pepper, it’s less versatile than the other Kaiak scents and gives it a strident touch, like Kaiak 02, but while 02 is youthful and vibrant, this is a deep, grave shout. Lasts normally, projects regularly. Performance: 8/10.

A good fresh fragrance with a peppery opening and light woods that quickly shift to citrus, icy, and salty. I detect Calone throughout, with a brief passage through geranium, amber, and incense. Being less fresh due to the woods and pepper, it’s less versatile than the other Kaiak scents, with a brash touch similar to Kaiak 02. However, while that one is youthful and vibrant, this is a deep, grave shout. Lasts normally, projects regularly (8/10).

  • There are better options even within the same line, but it doesn’t smell bad. It delivers if you want something for the heat without spending much, although it’s just simply good. I like it a lot after four hours, but to smell it, you need to get within five centimetres.

At first, it smells a lot like ADG Profondo, though it’s of lower quality and a bit synthetic. After half an hour, it stops being so aquatic and turns herbal. As it dries down, I swear it’s identical to the first batches of Kaiak Aereo (2018-2019), though with a nod to ADG. It can’t be compared to Kaiak Oceano because I’ve never owned it.

  • OscarVillavicencio

In the opening, it reminds me of ADG Profondo, though of lower quality and slightly synthetic. After half an hour, it feels less aquatic and more herbal, finishing with a dry-down identical to the first Kaiak Aereo (2018-2019). Although it has reminiscences of ADG, it doesn’t compare to Kaiak Oceano, which I’ve never tried.

  • Satisfactory in scent, nothing new. Opens with sharp herbal notes, then citrus and metallic with seaweed, to finish with a marine woody dry-down. These are early tests and only lasted 30 minutes with poor projection, staying close to the skin. I recommend it only if you find it on offer, as it’s nothing new.

  • First impressions from a novice: smells like Issey Miyake’s Majeure and Natura’s K. Fresh and spicy, with pepper and salt on the surface. Will need to test more. Greetings from CDMX.

  • In the initial wear, it’s citrusy and herbal, drying down to Jorge Di Profondo/Blue, similar to Kaiak Oceano but more refined. Yes, it reminds me of ADG Profondo. On the skin, it lasted quite a while, but without projection or sillage. I liked it, but it’s redundant and adds nothing new; there’s already a very similar one in the line. If you don’t have anything like Aqua Di Gio Profondo and buy it on offer, it’s fine, but if you already have similar scents, skip it. Many criticise Natura for prices, but everything is expensive in Argentina; the real criticism is stagnation, repeating formulas. Natura should change to their eternal perfumer.

  • Easy to wear, marine and fresh essence. It’s like a day at the beach. Good quality at a good price. It’s a blue fragrance, but certain notes make it feel more mature and ‘opaque’ than the Kaiak Original. I recommend it for hot, daytime wear.

  • PabloAlejandro

I tried it and in the opening it’s very similar to Oceano; you can detect the seaweed, though less strongly, and then it turns woody and floral. I decided to buy it because I tested it while swimming and it held up well during the class with the chlorine. After showering with strong soap, when I smelled it, I noticed creamy floral notes that pleasantly surprised me. Regards.

I tried it and it comes out very similar to Oceano; you can detect the algae at the start, though less strongly. Then it becomes woody and floral. I decided to buy it because I tested it in the pool: it held up well during the hour of swimming with all the chlorine. After a shower with strong soap, smelling it revealed creamy floral notes. I was pleasantly surprised by this new Kaiak. Greetings.

  • At first, it’s citrusy and herbal; as it dries down, it reminds me of Jorge Di Profondo and Blue, similar to Kaiak Oceano but more refined. It also has that air of ADG Profondo. Lasts well on skin, but lacks projection and trail. I liked it, but it feels redundant: it adds nothing new when there’s already a very similar one in the Kaiak line. If you don’t own anything of that ADG Profondo style and catch it on offer, it’s worth it; if you already have several similar scents, better to skip it. People talk a lot about Natura’s prices, but in Argentina everything is expensive. The real issue is that they keep repeating old formulas; I think Natura should change their eternal perfumer.
