  It has slightly overwhelmed me due to being very linear and lasting an absolute nightmare. What stands out most is the olibanum, drier than smoky, followed by a strong woody accord and some amber. In the mid-notes, the declared flowers are noticeable but not punchy, and in the dry-down they fade in favour of vanilla and patchouli. Nevertheless, the woody incense always dominates. It has quality, but I can’t see myself using it much.

  It’s strange we don’t talk about this one more often! It’s a dense burgundy rose with a touch of incense (sacred, not church-like), wrapped in warm vanilla and a brutal chocolatey patchouli. Mmm, what a delight; it’s like a moist rose cake with chocolate, wrapped in a cloud of incense—you don’t know whether to spread it or eat it. Warm, autumnal, and sensual. Performance is an 8.5/10.
