Incredible sillage and longevity, a scent that conveys pure warmth.
A friend gifted me a mini bottle this morning for Christmas. Truth be told, it features a lovely, soft, and elegant incense note, yet the fragrance seems to try too hard to emulate Annick Goutal’s Ambre Fetiche without quite succeeding; it falls short on that journey. It is also true that it has far fewer notes than the original, so I would recommend it to those who prefer a softer, perhaps more ethereal oriental scent. Competing with Annick Goutal’s masterpiece, even against a rival like Tom Ford, is frankly difficult. It is a very pleasant and good perfume overall, but if you do not make the comparison, it loses many points. In fact, I will not switch from my oriental of choice under any circumstances. However, I am very grateful to my friend for this opportunity today.
As its name suggests, this is absolute amber, no half measures, pure amber. The scent is linear, with few changes, but it does not need them; for those of us who like this type of aroma, we do not need it to be complex or have a monumental development. I am simply content with enjoying the exquisite scent, as it gives me what I seek: amber, resins, and woods; I do not need more. I wish I had found a perfume on incense like this one is on amber. Spectacular. The opening is a sweet, resinous, and warm amber, with the incense point just right, smoky enough to perfume the fragrance and prevent the sweetness of the amber from becoming cloying, achieving an oriental, mystical, and outstanding scent that automatically transports you to any magical corner of the Thousand and One Nights. Gradually, when it reaches its zenith, it transforms into a creamy, woody amber, with just enough vanilla not to saturate or steal the spotlight from the amber, which remains the queen until the very end. A perfume of few notes executed masterfully; it is one of those times you can say less is more. Longevity and projection are very, very good; it is one of those perfumes that, applied in the morning, lasts intensely until night without reapplication, with a heavy trail for over four hours and then moderate; you could not ask for more. It is an intense aroma, more suited to cold climates and for evening wear, but as I always say, when I like a perfume so much, I wear it whenever my body asks for it, hehe. The only drawback is the price, a bit out of place, but I acknowledge it is worth every penny, so I will keep my decant like gold in a casket.

Thank you, Darkbeat, for sharing this amazing perfume. A proposal that dresses you in warmth and elegance as temperatures drop. Undoubtedly excellent in quality, it seems herbaceous and slightly liquorish at the start, then the power of amber dazzles in all its facets, creating a dry, warm, sweet, and intoxicating aroma. Quite resistant on the skin, the trail is not overwhelming. I found Ambre Sultan by Lutens more potent, but this is a unisex level with distinctive characteristics that fits perfectly with an elegant and sophisticated style. If I am not mistaken, it is in the Private Blend series and can be worn alone or mixed, for example, with Tobacco Vanille for an interesting and costly experiment.
Incense, wood, and sweet. A wonderful fragrance if you like incense scents, especially this one; with the sweetness of amber and vanilla, it is spectacular. It smells unisex, although I am sure it would have been labelled masculine in other times. I love it, I enjoy it, and I share it with my husband, who also enjoys it.

This is one of the perfumes I most desire to wear; amber is my favourite note and the perfumer too. It promises so much, but unfortunately, it is no longer available. Note that the perfumer revealed the formula on their Instagram post on 9 February 2021. It has an incredible longevity with just 13-14 notes; one day I will surely be brave enough to make it myself. It is the best idea I have come up with to share here as a Christmas gift, happy holidays to everyone!
From the moment you apply it until it settles, the amber rules. At first, it overwhelms you with that smell of old wood, super comforting, reminding me of the doors of ancient churches. Then, as it dries, the game changes: the amber pairs well with a touch of vanilla that gives it great depth. Projection and longevity are a 10.

Then, as it dries, the dynamic shifts: the amber blends beautifully with a hint of vanilla, adding immense depth. Projection and longevity are a perfect 10.
