It’s the best perfume I’ve ever smelled; it smells delicious. I’m 17 with some experience, but oh boy, I loved it. It lasted more than 14 hours with a single spray on my wrist; it’s the most masculine and rich scent I’ve ever smelled. Edit: If I’m being picky, it smells very good but it’s not the holy grail; within the leather olfactive family, it’s one of the best.
When did Tom Ford start releasing senseless flankers? We might be looking at one here. Knowing that the original Ombre Leather formula is a success and brilliant, they rushed to launch the Parfum version taking advantage of an extraordinary DNA that’s in fashion. You expected a significant change, but anyone not an expert will feel them identical. If we smell them side by side, perhaps we’ll notice nuances; it’s more floral than the EDP, with a violet leaf that mutes the leather a bit. Overall, they smell the same; I can’t find any trace of tobacco nor do I feel it’s as woody as the notes should be. It feels lighter, with less deep and animalic leather, more wearable, although that’s not positive per se, as some will prefer the dense aroma of the EDP. This Parfum is more restrained; although it lasts the same, its trail and projection are moderate, in line with its aim to be a light leather. It’s probably more unisex due to the floral notes. The scent is essentially the same, with barely any differences except nuances that only those who use them a lot or compare them will perceive. In my opinion, it’s redundant and not worth it for the slightly higher price. Absolute perfume bomb, an essential if it didn’t already exist since 2018, still it deserves a test alongside the original because those nuances might make someone who prefers something lighter opt for this.
Too similar to Bvlgari Terre Essence or Dior Fahrenheit to justify its price. That doesn’t stop it from smelling incredible.
An elegant and versatile perfume, pleasantly soft, ideal for any moment. In my experience, it doesn’t stand out; its trail is precarious and it’s not noticeable after a short distance. It doesn’t live up to its reputation and the price is high for the performance. For me, a perfume must make an impression; it’s the aromatic signature of the wearer.
I bought it a few days ago; exquisite and elegant scent, but I expected more. The leather would be pink if it were a colour: delicate with flowers, nothing strong. Very good blend, but it doesn’t project at all. On my skin it lasts 4 or 5 hours, projecting at first and then becoming a very personal bubble. I wouldn’t buy it again, mind you, as the fragrance is a marvel.
Personally, I don’t see much difference between the EDP and the Parfum. It’s a scent where the leather stands out, elegant and very long-lasting. As for projection, I think it causes olfactory fatigue, but others perceive it even after hours. I like it for wearing alone or layering with Lost Cherry; the combination is wonderful.
I absolutely love this fragrance, but unfortunately it doesn’t last more than two and a half hours on my skin. Does anyone else experience the same thing?
After trying the Parfum version several times and finally being able to buy it, I’m a thousand times more inclined to choose it over the EDP I already knew. I won’t discuss the notes as it’s redundant, but for me, this version is perfect. I don’t need special occasions or sunset to enjoy it; I spray and head to work happy. As I work in air conditioning, I even wear it in summer. I stick with this because I love the scent and don’t have to limit it as much as with the old version. Perhaps some won’t notice the differences, but they exist; the EDP is too strident for the office. In the end, when I like a scent, I want to wear it frequently. I’m surprised that some don’t find it lasting or projecting as well as I do (I have dry skin); it lasts a minimum of 10 hours projecting wildly, and let’s say I ride a motorbike. At 47, I feel this perfume represents me fantastically without leaving leather trails wherever I go. I fell in love.
Tom Ford’s Ombré Leather Parfum is pure sensuality and mystery. Launched in 2018, it’s one of the brand’s most popular scents. It opens with cardamom, ginger, and cumin, vibrant and exciting. In the heart, rose and jasmine blend with leather and amber. It closes with patchouli, vetiver, and oakmoss, giving it a masculine and long-lasting touch. It’s ideal for the man who wants to seduce and captivate, adding confidence and mystery. The blend of leather and amber is virile, softened by the flowers to add elegance. Perfect for dates or special events; its intensity and longevity ensure you’ll be remembered. It’s a treasure for anyone looking to reflect their seductive and elegant side. I wear it at gatherings, on trips, or on dates.
Super masculine fragrance with brutal quality and an enormous trail. It’s much friendlier than the classic Ombre Leather, which is very niche. This one is easier to wear, although the scent might polarise some people, and that’s a good thing.
I see a lot of hype. I’ve used it for months and it simply smells like new shoes or a leather jacket. I don’t understand what’s attractive about such a basic scent and can’t see how it stands out over others that, at a similar or lower price, leave it in the dust.
It’s spectacular; it radiates quality, elegance, and class. The opening is like the EDP with intense leather, but this Parfum version has leather with imposing floral touches. Without a doubt, I like it more than the EDP because it’s fresher and you feel those floral notes more. That’s why I bought it; I feel the EDP is too strong. It’s definitely a fragrance every man should own; it makes a statement wherever you go with that peculiar aroma.
I had to decide after months of testing decants and finally found the bright spot everyone mentions. I have the previous one (2018), which is more usable in cold and mild weather, and this one (2021), which performs in any climate except extreme heat.
Before deciding which Ombre Leather to buy, I tried both several times and settled on this one because it feels more elegant. The floral notes make the leather more wearable and easier to enjoy. I’ve received good compliments, and my wife loves it.
Very good. The progression doesn’t change much: it smells of leather, flowers, and woods. It opens dry and strong, then becomes creamy, more floral with an amber nuance. Very easy to wear, nothing challenging. However, if you don’t like leather, you won’t like it. Perhaps I’d want better performance and to feel it more for longer. Ideal for formal occasions or the office, always in cold or cool weather. Totally masculine. Having it in the collection is a good option, but not at any price.
Ombre Leather Parfum smells like the EDP with slight changes. At first they’re similar, but the Parfum is fresher and greener. As it dries, the white florals stand out; it’s warmer, ambered, woody, and powdery. The EDP, though denser and darker, had a sheen that made it unique; here the perfume feels more decadent and muted. I’m not saying it’s worse – it depends on taste. The leather smells the same, but the other notes make it different; to me it smells like lower-quality leather shoes, which is why I prefer the previous one. It lasts 8 hours with moderate projection. In summary, it’s very similar to the previous one but with a noticeable floral, fresh, powdery twist, although the overall composition feels less special. It remains elegant and unique.
By far the one people talk about the most. I didn’t expect so much, but everyone says it ‘smells expensive’ and the dry-down is super rich; you can really tell the quality there.
A brutal fragrance, but the performance is poor for the price.
Ombre Leather Parfum is leathery, floral, and woody. It opens fresh, citrusy, and ozonic, but the treated leather note comes out quickly, reminiscent of shoe polish. Over time, the leather recedes and the florals rise, making it more aromatic than the EDP. In dry-down, it stays fresh with a spicy tobacco touch. It suits everything from casual to formal, day and night, with great elegance. It lasted 8–9 hours on me, though the trail was only noticeable for the first hour; afterwards it sat closer to the skin, just like the EDP. It’s more wearable than I expected, less spicy but with the leather and woods intact. Personally, I liked it more.
I love it; it’s almost identical to the EDP but just a touch softer and more floral. They’re right to say it’s kinder – it doesn’t smell any different from the previous one. I still like the old version and can’t see why I wouldn’t own both. They’re top-tier, although this one lasts and projects less.
Amazing fragrance, it is leather put in a bottle with an atomiser. Of exquisite leather, not synthetic. It is one of my favourite fragrances; if I had to give it 5 stars, I would give it 6 ⭐. It is a fragrance that if you own it and it runs out, you must buy it again to have in your collection.
It is the best leather that exists, wearable and very pleasant. I prefer the EDT because this one is very floral; I think it is a good option for women. Perfumazo!
Exquisite perfume!!! I bought it blind and the truth is that I was surprised by its aroma… I LOVE IT!!! I give it a 10/10.
A masterpiece of perfumery. Unlike the EDP, it is a white leather (hence the bottle label), luxurious and lustrous, with well-marked floral notes thanks to the jasmine (which accompanies from the opening until the dry down), the lily, and intense violets, with a woody part produced by the cedar chords. The floral aspect makes it more versatile than the EDP and allows us to wear it not only in autumn and winter, but also in spring and even summer evenings. As it dries down, the notes of fresh, freshly cut green tobacco leaves appear, giving it more character. It presents excellent longevity, easily more than 12 hours, projecting moderately for around 3 hours. Ombre Leather Parfum is more refreshing, formal, and elegant, ideal for the office and to accompany us in daily non-sporting activities; in contrast, the EDP is more invasive, nocturnal, and informal, for cold climates and for special occasions in the workplace. In my personal experience, the Parfum version brings many compliments from women, while the EDP receives praise from men.
A perfume of enormous quality. I like it much more than the original (which I don’t like at all because it smells like a market bag). It is probably due to its floral notes, which I absolutely love. To my regret, I tried it in summer and my wife did not like it because of its strength (obviously it is not a perfume to wear at 35 degrees). To her, it smelled like petrol. And it is true that it has a hint of that. However, it proved to be very addictive for me. Very good longevity. Not such a strong projection, but more than adequate. Totally recommended.
Super rich, formal, ‘white’ leather. I like it a little more than the EDP (which is also a marvel). Very good longevity and decent projection.
I finally have it and I must say it does not disappoint; it is a quite pronounced leather perfume, meaning it lives up to its name. It is a leather scent that, while I like it, I understand is not for everyone, but it is definitely a work of quality and if you like leather, you must try it. It has several layers; the leather is present in almost all of them, with the flowers appearing just in the heart notes. At the end of the fragrance’s life, the flowers give it a subtle and pleasant touch, standing out more than the leather. Regarding duration, it lasts more than 8 hours on skin with moderate projection and a strong trail that makes you feel surrounded in a bubble. They say this projects less than the EDP, but I haven’t tried it, and I’ve also seen comments claiming the EDP smells the same, but I’m not sure because the other one has cardamomo.
Top quality, 10 out of 10.
It’s an absolute bombshell of a perfume.
I bought it a few days ago and the scent is spectacular. The fresh floral notes are very prominent at first, but they fade after just a few seconds. What remains is a more intense floral aroma (very masculine), with woods and a super elegant leather. I had the chance to smell the EDP version and the Tuscan Leather; the latter is considerably more expensive as it belongs to Tom Ford’s private line. The Parfum is the most rounded of the three: the easiest to wear and the most elegant. The EDP smells like rougher leather, less treated, more rugged. Meanwhile, the Tuscan Leather smells much more animalistic, like a stable. In conclusion, the Ombre Leather Parfum seems to me to be the definitive, rounded, and most elegant version of Tom Ford’s leather line. It is quite pricey; I managed to get it on offer on 29/11/2024 for around 98 euros for 50ml. However, I believe it is worth the cost given the quality of the fragrance and the brand, as Tom Ford is not cheap. (Regarding duration and projection, I must clarify that I haven’t used it much yet, but so far it’s quite normal, lasting about 6-7 hours with a projection of around 2 metres; I have Arab fragrances costing 20 euros that outperform this one several times over).
I’m not a fan of Tom Ford fragrances; I never was. The excessive price of their products and their controversial fragrances have kept me away from the brand for a good while. However, I must admit there are fragrances from the brand that I love, such as Bitter Peach, Ébène Fumé, Costa Azzurra, and the beautiful Neroli Portofino. On this occasion, I had the opportunity to try this version of Ombré Leather, and honestly, it’s excellent. Here we find a leather that, in my humble opinion, is much more versatile, pleasant, and wearable than the first version. The tobacco, jasmine, and lily root fulfil a majestic function, accompanying an attractive and predominant leather. Not only did the scent catch my attention, but also its performance, which is incredible; on my skin, it surpassed 24 hours. Although its price is high, I consider it an excellent option to consider if you’re looking for a fragrance that makes a presence and prints character. Undoubtedly, I recommend it.
A fantastic Christmas gift we received at home. After using it for a week, I have to say I’ve loved it. From the very first moment, you notice that soft and smoky leather scent, with a spiced touch, along with a floral nuance that gives it a very elegant air. As time passes, the perfume settles and you notice more that essence of leather mixed with woods, and a bit of tobacco. In general, this fragrance conveys confidence and a touch of sensuality. It makes you feel secure, with character, and a distinguished style. It’s perfect for occasions where you want to leave a lasting impression and project elegance effortlessly.
Love at first sniff; the scents I like most are freshly brewed coffee, leather, wet earth, new tyre, gunpowder (the smell of striking a match). This perfume offers a scent extremely close to that of genuine leather. As an olfactory experience, it is gratifying for how well it is crafted, for its quality, and for how faithful it is to representing that particular smell. However, it’s not a fragrance one wants to smell frequently. Continuous use makes it lose some of its charm, and besides, I don’t associate it with a person but rather with a leather object. That’s why I consider it ideal for occasional occasions. It’s a scent that, without a doubt, doesn’t go unnoticed, but that doesn’t always translate into positive comments. My wife says I smell like a wallet, my son like an old man, and other comments I’ve received include things like ‘you smell like a horse’ or ‘like a shoe sole’. Very few identify the smell as leather, and even fewer say they like it. Finally, I think it’s a unisex fragrance, though with a clear inclination towards the masculine. I bought Ombre Leather Parfum because they told me it was a softer and more delicate version than the original, and personally, I perceive it as such. Perhaps that’s why it can be considered unisex, though it still has a markedly masculine character. That said, I have noticed that for some people it can seem a bit strong, as they’ve told me I smell like an animal or a horse… I don’t know whether to take that as a compliment or not, haha!
What a great perfume, it smells like a Mustang seat, black leather, hot engine. It’s masculine, with a wild character and elegant at the same time. From the first spray, a dense and enveloping cloud of leather hits you straight in the nose; it’s not synthetic leather, it’s a soft, spiced suede, a rough and dry leather that smells of the road, hot wind, and freedom. There’s a spiced bitterness, like a breeze dragging dust and rocks; it’s cardamom with a slight touch of violet, giving it a mysterious depth, like the dark shine of a leather suit under the moon. Spicy but calm leather, soft, nothing challenging, barely perceptible jasmine, a vibrant and spiced opening with a base still smoky and loaded with tobacco that screams power. High projection, lasts hours radiating just enough to not be too intrusive. It’s not for everyone; it’s for those who love the road, risk, and the smell of freedom. A little unevolutionary but incredible perfume, it smells like good Derby or wingtip shoes freshly polished. Perfect to wear with Chelsea boots, a Wrangler jeans, and a jacket worn properly. Not suitable for heat, but perfect for elegant dates in cold climates. I must say that a few years ago when I first tried it, I didn’t like it much, but smelling it again later was love at second sight; recommended if you are a man with poise, masculine, and with enough character to wear it. Scent: 9.5/10 Longevity: 8.5/10 (used to last longer) Sillage: 7.0/10 Versatility: 2.0/10 Compliments: 6.5/10 Not everyone loves leather Originality: 7.8/10 (marked a before and after) Olfactive Rarity: 4.0/10 (nothing complicated to smell, perfect to start with leather) Average: 6.47
Of all the leather-based perfumes I’ve heard of, this is the most modern and versatile I’ve heard.
Excellent!!! Very rich perfume; I sense a slightly fruity and floral opening, half-citrus, and you might think this leather has nothing, but after that opening comes smoky wood and extremely violent leather, a strong, dense leather that gives the sensation of entering a shop selling the best quality leather. If you’re not used to dense fragrances, it can be very strong; I agree with other reviews where they say it smells like real leather, and some may feel it as an animal smell, a stable smell, but elegant; it radiates class and elegance. It doesn’t project much, but it stays close to you like a bubble and lasts hours; on clothes, it lasts days. I don’t regret the purchase; every now and then I go and smell it; it’s not for everyday use.
Pure and hard leather. Masculine. It must be worn with appropriate clothing and savoir-faire. I took the 100ml bottle and I think my children will inherit it, because with 2-3 sprays it floods your body with a scent of hardness. It’s not for daily use, not by a long shot. I have the feeling that it’s the typical perfume that men like more than women; I’ll keep you informed. It transmits an ‘aura’. It’s not my favourite fragrance, but it is THE definitive leather fragrance. Leather and more leather, period.
Spectacular! The story is clear: love at first sight. For years I read wonders about Ombre Leather on YouTube, but I learned that in perfumery, you can’t trust blindly. Tastes are personal; what one person adores, another might not care for at all. Besides, in Spain it’s not common to find testers for this Tom Ford in traditional perfumeries. I always passed by, saw it, but couldn’t try it. Until one day I found a tester. I sprayed it and it was instant. I didn’t need any more thought. That elegant, deep leather with character but refined. Potent, yet sophisticated. It’s not a dirty or aggressive leather; it’s a worked leather, classy. My wife saw how much I loved it and ended up gifting it to me. That makes it even more special. On my skin, it has excellent longevity and projection. It’s my quintessential autumn-winter perfume. It’s presence, character, confidence. It’s one of those perfumes that makes you feel well-dressed even if you’re not entirely so. It’s not mass-market, not for everyone, but it connects with me completely. And when a perfume connects like this, no review is worth more than that feeling.
Tom Ford – Ombre Leather Parfum. Imagine it’s gala night, impeccable attire, you get into a beautiful car that drives off towards an important event. That event requires formality, a suit, presence, and elegance. This perfume is that: elegance, masculinity, leather, and dominance. It starts strong, a hit of plush leather that smells like walking into a luxury shoe store, where the intense scent of leather invades your lungs. The leather remains realistic at all times, accompanied by a floral note that makes it more subtle and tolerable, without losing its dominant, masculine leather scent. After a few minutes, the scent lingers more on the clothes (or on the skin, depending on where you apply it); you’ll notice the high quality because it feels like brand-new luxury leather shoes of the highest level. Serious, masculine, and imposing; for the leather lover, this perfume is imposing. If it weren’t for the price, I’d buy another one. 9/10 Pros: •Great longevity (surpasses 10 hours on skin and 24 on clothes). •Realistic leather scent; if you hate this note, it’s plush leather. Cons: •Price, it could be the only major drawback besides the scent. •It’s not a challenging perfume, but it may bother those who don’t like intense leather. •Its trail is moderate, not very powerful, but anyone who approaches will feel it.
A perfume I absolutely love; I could say without fear of being wrong that it’s my signature. Tremendous luxury.
