  Au Pink Flamingo is my first encounter with Marie Clapisson’s Fleur de Point range. I’ll be testing the other two fragrances from the brand tomorrow, which arrived in a discovery set. Upon spraying, the coriander is very prominent while the rose is barely noticeable. I can’t detect the coffee note yet, and I still can’t distinguish the labdanum. As it dries down, what dominates with excellent projection is the tobacco and cedar. After two hours, the musk emerges along with a sweet amber touch. The tobacco is one of the best I’ve tried; I love that it doesn’t pair with vanilla, as it feels more original and avoids the overused tobacco-vanilla combination (though I adore that combo myself). The cedar is remarkably realistic and lingers until the very end. In summary, it’s a novel and far from boring fragrance. It smells dark and sensual, like a jazz club with wooden furniture, where you can sense the sweat of customers wearing amber scents and the aroma of tobacco from their pipes. It has moderate sillage and lasts over seven hours on my skin. Scent 7/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 8/10, Value for money 7/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 7/10. Would I buy it again? I haven’t purchased it yet.
