  It is always a triumph when a niche expert launches their own brand; the challenge is risky, but is it worth it? The opening of ‘Golden Hour’ is pure light and vitality: effervescent bergamot embraces a juicy, crisp green apple. A generous, captivating rose, free from formality, surprises even the experienced wearer. The fruity freshness yields to an extreme silkiness where amber and caramel nourish the skin, creating a very perceptible gourmand. The development is consistent, allowing one to enjoy all the textures without fading. The extract shines and the musk performs flawlessly, without harshness or incoherence. It evokes familiarity; who doesn’t have their reference vanilla? Without relying on it, that sticky sensation is enjoyed in a unique setting. It reminds me of Kilian’s finest moments: extreme performance, narcotic charge, and defined personality. In heat and humidity, its performance is outstanding, without being overwhelming or cloyingly sweet, with apt adaptability. If I wear it today in a demanding environment, I imagine it will shine even more with the new season. I do not give scores, but it falls within the range of excellence.
