I found this perfume and its sibling HIM (Private Stock) at an irresistible price, so I didn’t hesitate for a moment and bought both. The opening is citrusy and sweet, then it becomes very spicy with a prominent tonka bean note over leather. The scent doesn’t evolve much, except that in the final dry-down, amber emerges, turning it into a warm, sweet, and spicy fragrance with lovely leather nuances. It’s not an out-of-the-ordinary scent; olfactorily it’s quite generic, but it’s punchy. Longevity and trail are moderate, nothing extraordinary, lasting around six hours or slightly more, projecting more in the first hour before settling close to the skin. A perfume for fresh climates, suitable for both day and night.

It smells clean, with citrus notes dominating, accented by leather and some spices. I consider it a formal and masculine aroma; in reality, it doesn’t stand out or cause controversy, rather it’s somewhat generic but pleasant and enjoyable. The quality is acceptable given its accessible price. I think it was a good acquisition and I recommend it. Perhaps it isn’t one of my best fragrances or a favourite, but I must admit it didn’t disappoint; on the contrary, it pleasantly surprised me.

Both British Sterling perfumes (Him and Reserve) surprised me by being quite convincing in composition (well-balanced), albeit very synthetic. They are those typical high-street clothing store scents that don’t smell bad. The price is incredible (I think I paid around £9 for both with a deal), but of course… the longevity is minimal. I preferred the white one, so I ended up gifting it. Generally, the white is that typical woody-clean-spiced scent, while this one is creamier, sweeter, and more oriental. In any case, since longevity is essential for me, I’ll try to find other uses for it.

This fragrance caught me off guard. At first, it smells a bit artificial and citrusy, but once it dries down, it’s a beast. I absolutely loved it. It bears a strong resemblance to Armani Code, though the synthetic opening keeps it slightly at a distance. Highly recommended; the quality-to-price ratio is top-notch.
