A warm, elegant, and intimate fragrance where nutmeg, a delicious amber, balanced citrus, flowers (rose, carnation?), and undeclared spices shine. Beautiful in itself, balanced, exclusive, and totally unisex. Perfect for any moment, but in autumn or winter, it’s one of those that makes you smell your scarf or jacket until you sneeze backwards. A spray on the pillow and you’re lost. Notable duration and projection with a final surprise. Months ago, I searched under the stones for Nabucco Parfum Fin. I got a sample thanks to a friend and we acquired several resorting to lost shops (Russia, Iran…). Raided to the last corner, I declare myself a happy owner of all available formats (60ml, 20ml, 5ml), with the pleasure of their collectible presentations and the adventures lived. Unlike Nabucco (oil), Nom has alcohol and projects more. The notable thing is the enormous resemblance in the dry-down; not everyone would distinguish. Perhaps due to my continued use of Nabucco, I think Nom is slightly flatter, less three-dimensional, but very similar. If you want to live the Nabucco experience, I totally recommend buying it… it’s niche but still in production and not prohibitive. Enjoy, they last two days.
Nabucco lives! I’ve had this on my wishlist for a while and now I have it. Impressive resemblance to Nabucco Parfum Fin. With Nabucco, my skin doesn’t get along well with the oils; they last a sigh, so I got rid of it; I understand perfumery as a consumer, if I don’t enjoy wearing it, off to the next butterfly. In this search, I found this supposed copy and finally got the bottle. It has differences and a more perceptible development. It resembles Nabucco more in the heart phase and the beginning of the dry-down. But afterwards… the rest of the dry-down seems better to me, more patchouli and animalic, with an almost sexual air that Nabucco didn’t have. I agree that I love patchouli and animalic notes, so for me, it’s a plus. A wonderful fragrance, citrusy, amber, and with a sensual dry-down, almost perfect, created by Alberto Morillas for this little-known brand. It meets the duration requirement, although it doesn’t project much; you feel it around you for quite a while. If you’re looking for the unicorn Nabucco, Nom is more affordable and has advantages as an extract in duration and projection. Greetings.
It resembles Ani by Nishane quite a bit. Ani is a bomb of citrusy, spiced vanilla; this is the same but with lavender. The lavender is felt very much in the opening and is a treat. Unfortunately, it dilutes in very little time. The opening is glorious; of all tested, it’s the best. The problem is the evolution, which is extremely poor. After fifteen minutes, you have a better-quality Ani but with worse performance. This is the main problem: it’s not long-lasting, doesn’t project, and barely leaves a trail after an hour. It’s felt at skin level, a real pity because the aroma is delicious. For those with money who want an indulgence, go ahead; the opening is among the best. The lavender comes out opening your lungs in the style of Vicks VapoRub; it smells glorious alongside citrus, vanilla, and nutmeg. But then, as minutes pass, everything goes to pot. I read reviews and am surprised by the longevity; for me, it doesn’t last more than two hours, and the second time I can only smell it with effort of imagination. I’ll use it on clothes, abusing the sprays.
Smells like a ton of Ani by Nishane, that citrus-vanilla-spice bomb, but they’ve added lavender here. The opening is glorious, the best I’ve ever tried, with a lavender that clears the lungs like Vicks alongside the citrus, vanilla, and nutmeg. The problem is it fades in a ridiculous time; after fifteen minutes, it’s a cheaper version of Ani. It doesn’t last more than two hours, has no projection, and by an hour it’s barely skin-scent. It’s a shame because the fragrance is delicious, so if you have the money and want an indulgence, go for the opening, but afterwards it all goes to pot. I’ve read other reviews and I’m surprised by the longevity, so I’ll wear it on clothes and over-spray.
A fragrance that is both simple and complex. Nom is so well-blended that it’s difficult to smell the notes separately, making it addictive to try and discern them. In the powerful opening, light citrus touches of lemon add brightness to the composition, formed mainly by ambered vanilla and predominant nutmeg. In the first ten minutes, there’s great potency. After an hour, it develops nuances of incense and dry lavender, something metallic due to the nutmeg (reminds me of that brown, rotting lavender), all bathed in golden amber and vanilla. Despite not being declared, I perceive honey. Projection drops… in the final phase, at seven hours, the herbal and metallic nuances fade, leaving a soft mantle of amber and vanilla. Powdered nutmeg and an animalic musk become more perceptible. Very long-lasting: 8 hours on skin and up to 3 days on clothes. The only issue is that projection drops to 2 hours, but it’s clearly felt clinging to the skin. It inspires me to an elegant wedding in a country temple with vanilla candles, incense, and light; a warm, cheerful atmosphere on a starry spring night. A special fragrance, warm, amber, elegant, and liturgical, totally unisex. I love it.
Without a doubt, marketing always promises more than it delivers. With all due respect, after much waiting, a 3ml decant finally arrived. First, a quick dab on the back of the left hand, away from the nose, to maintain the surprise while searching for gold… and suddenly, the reality presented itself, something costly fragrances often make us uncomfortable with: the facts. I don’t want to speak ill; on the contrary, I love the art of perfumery just as you do, but reality isn’t always like that. There are incredible, good, and forgettable fragrances. Nom 1907 isn’t bad; it has one of the best openings I’ve heard… but then what???? I agree with @clavofe; it disappears in minutes, unfortunately, to the extent that it’s hard to find where you’ve applied it. The HYPE (of which I was a victim) a fragrance can create is amusing. Conclusion: Nom 1907 is good with average performance (asking for help from the teacher!)… it’s a pity, I expected something else.
At first, I thought: ‘eh, nothing special’, but it improved gradually. By the end of the day, it has something that invites you to keep smelling it constantly. If I had to define it in three ingredients: 1. Habit Rouge by Guerlain, 2. Halls Honey Cubes (those yellow sweets with gold wrappers from Mexico), and 3. Lots of freshly ground nutmeg for pasta sauce. Basically, if you mix those, you have Nom 1907. To enjoy it, you must love fresh, citrusy, spiced, and vanilla notes. After 11 hours, I can still smell it (especially the nutmeg, which lingers throughout, quite present). It’s not a powerhouse in projection; it’s discreet with occasional bursts; it lasts about three hours before clinging to the skin. I find it elegant. Juan de Hueleme says it resembles Nabucco, the perfume of the king of the universe… well, I’m not sure if that king would wear it; it doesn’t smell quite so ‘glorious’ to me, but if I’m allowed to overinterpret, it feels like a luminous yellow colour. It’s not fireworks, but it’s recommended.
A super vintage, clean, and elegant fragrance that transports you back 30 to 40 years. Although it’s not declared, it smells intensely of vetiver. If you’re looking for quality and a trip down memory lane, this scent delivers perfectly.
