  Singular Oud is an interesting and distinctive oud fragrance. It follows in the footsteps of scents like Bois d’Oud by Perris Montecarlo or Oud & Bergamot by Jo Malone, yet maintains its own identity. The oud remains the star throughout, but in a gentle way, showcasing its woodier facet without excessive faecal or animalic notes. It is intense and smoky, yet has fresh undertones. It’s ideal for those who typically don’t enjoy oud. The opening is fruity due to the fig, though light, as its creaminess is overshadowed by the strength of the oud and frankincense. The latter is the main supporting actor, adding smoky and balsamic character. As it dries down, musky notes and a touch of patchouli complete the blend. Personally, I liked it, with acceptable longevity, although perhaps a bit low for a perfume with ‘oud’ in the name; it lasts around 8 hours on skin. Subjectively, I enjoyed it, but it’s not a showstopper. I might have preferred more fig presence or something to highlight its fruity side. I see it as suitable for daily wear or even work.
