Oudi, by Ard Al Zaafaran, is an oriental fragrance from the house, launched in 2016, designed for men and women. Its olfactive pyramid opens with a top of oud wood, rose and patchouli; the heart reveals a combination of oud wood, amber, cinnamon and cedar; and the base settles on notes of oud wood, oakmoss, sandalwood and white musk.

My dear Oudi, a gifted find now firmly in my top tier of unique and utterly sexy fragrances. It has amazed me, particularly for night wear, though it works all day, especially in cooler seasons. I adore this commercially crafted oud blended with roses, amber, and the warmth of cinnamon; the wood isn’t the dominant note, which I find appealing as it isn’t pure oud. It’s a very good, seductive scent, undeniably masculine. While Arab perfumes are often unisex with similar bases, this one stands out. The longevity is notable, lasting around eight hours with good projection to about 1.5 metres initially before settling closer to the skin. I love it; it’s spectacular for bars and clubs, super value for money, and will be a staple in your collection. A definite must-buy! Best wishes, friends.
Few perfumes match the longevity and sillage of this Oudi. While I find it slightly cloying, it is ideal for evenings, crisp days, or outdoor wear. I detect very little pure oud; instead, it feels more fruity.
