  One of my absolute favourites: elegant, refined and uncompromising. I own both versions, the limited edition and the classic. It’s ideal with a suit and tie; I’ve worn it for key moments like my graduation. I detect the citrus bergamot and the sweet Granny Smith apple. I don’t notice the jasmine, but I do pick up the geranium after my experience with Perry Ellis. The base is a woody cushion that I appreciate. It’s a lovely perfume that brings back good memories. I love it.

  I bought this recently and it smells delicious, but it has a major flaw: it lasts barely two hours before it’s gone. It reminds me of CK Euphoria, which smells lovely but lacks longevity. One expects at least six hours; anything less is simply throwing money away.

  Presence Cool is very different from its father, Presence: where the latter is spiced, this is woody, aquatic and fresh, in a modern fougere style for men. Upon application, it smells manly and clean, with an unlisted aquatic touch. In the heart, the floral geranium stands out. The base is common (amber, vanilla, musk, sandalwood, patchouli) and reminiscent of many perfumes, yet it gives that clean soap sensation. It reminds me of Portfolio Elite by Perry Ellis. It’s timeless, suitable for any season and occasion, and nobody is bothered by it. The only drawbacks: it smells like others and the projection is low, although it lasts over eight hours on the skin. It doesn’t hurt the wallet or the nose. If you want something good and affordable for everything, it’s ideal; if you’re looking for something unique, look elsewhere.

Upon application, it smells manly and clean, with an unheralded aquatic note. The heart features a standout floral geranium. The base is familiar (amber, vanilla, musk, sandalwood, patchouli) and reminiscent of many fragrances, yet it delivers that crisp soap-clean sensation. It brings to mind Portfolio Elite by Perry Ellis. It’s timeless, suitable for any season or occasion, and never offends anyone. Its only drawbacks are that it smells similar to other scents and has poor projection, although it lasts over eight hours on the skin. It doesn’t hurt the wallet or the nose. If you’re after something good and affordable for everyday wear, it’s ideal; if you’re seeking something unique, you’d be better off looking elsewhere.

  My first Montblanc review: Mont Blanc Presence Cool. I bought it because it was cheap in Argentina. It smells fresh, spicy and citrusy, with a touch of bamboo and apple that gives it originality. As is often the case with this house, the longevity is short: it projects for an hour, then stays on the skin and disappears by four. It doesn’t smell intrusive and everyone likes it, but the sandalwood isn’t noticeable. It’s perfect for spring mornings or mild summer days; I wouldn’t recommend it in extreme heat. It’s an unpretentious summer fragrance with little staying power.

  I picked it up on Amazon with good reviews and no hesitation, especially after trying Starwalker. At first, it smells citrusy, then shifts to a sweet fruity note. Initially, it gave me a slight headache, but I’ve got used to it now and it smells fantastic; I receive many compliments. I use it sparingly to make it last longer, and half the bottle remains. Perfect for the day or an occasional night out. Here in Caracas, I only find it in Presence. The only flaw is that it lasts only three or four hours, although the next day you can still smell it on the clothes.

I use it sparingly to make it last longer, as I’m left with about half the bottle. It’s ideal for daytime wear or an occasional night out. Here in Caracas, I can only find it at Presence. The only drawback is that it lasts around 3 to 4 hours, although the scent lingers on my clothes the next day.
