  • I love it! It’s my boyfriend’s perfume and it’s frankly irresistible to me. The scent is super fresh and sparkling, with a slight mentholated touch that even makes it seem unisex. It has a lot of personality, so it’s not for people looking for common aromas.

  • I love this perfume! It’s the one my boyfriend wears and it is frankly irresistible to me. The scent is very fresh and sparkling, with a slight mentholated touch; so much so that I would even say it’s unisex. It has lots of personality and is not suitable for people who like common and ordinary scents.

  • I disagree with Bramasole’s opinion. While this perfume doesn’t seem common to me, its scent is quite common. Lavender and a slight leather dominate; it smells clean and is very cheap (it cost me around $12 for 50ml), which works in its favour. It’s an excellent perfume for the price and it doesn’t smell bad at all. However, I don’t think you’ll drive anyone crazy with it, unless you are Bramasole’s boyfriend.

  • I disagree with Bramasole’s opinion. While it doesn’t sound common to me, the scent is actually quite generic. Lavender and a bit of leather dominate. It smells clean and is very cheap (I paid around $12 for 50ml), so it comes out well in the end. It’s an excellent perfume for the price and doesn’t smell bad at all. However, I don’t think it will drive anyone crazy with it, unless you’re Bramasole’s boyfriend.

  • I consider it a scent for everyday wear, soft and discreet. I used it years ago at the end of the 90s when its price was very economical; I bought it for under $10 for 50ml and once for $15 for the 200ml. I think it’s a very good quality-price ratio for what it offered. I don’t know if it’s still on sale, as I haven’t been able to get hold of it.

Wow, Perry Ellis’s America caught me off guard; a brilliant find, though it’s now almost impossible to find in stores. It evokes that 90s fougère style: fresh, aromatic, and woody, yet less potent than the 80s classics. It opens with a very aromatic fruity and herbal note before yielding to a soft, natural floral heart. As it dries down, it retains that freshness while gaining body from the woods, without losing its cleanliness; perfect for daytime and lasts over 10 hours on my skin. Plus, the price is ridiculously low. In short, it’s a fulfilling fragrance and, among Perry Ellis’s releases from that era, one of my favourites.

It was completely unknown to me until it was a pleasant discovery, although it is almost no longer sold in department stores. It keeps the style of the 90s ferns: fresh, aromatic and woody, but with less intensity than those of the 80s. America for Men has a fresh, fruity and aromatic opening thanks to the herbal and spicy notes, which give way to a slightly floral heart. In the dry-down phase it maintains its scent with more woody charge, but it still seems clean and perfect for the day. On my skin it lasts more than 10 hours. Its low price makes it attractive; it’s a fulfilling fragrance and one of the best from Perry Ellis of the 90s.

  • An exquisite scent, not intrusive, fresh and very long-lasting. Women love it. It’s cheap, classic but nothing outdated. It can be worn during the day or on hot nights like this one. America 360 Red and Portafolio are the best of Perry Ellis; if you haven’t used it, dare to try it and compare. As a gift, you won’t go wrong.

  • I remember the first time I smelled it years ago on holiday in Puerto Vallarta; a friend wore it and its trail caught my attention immediately. Upon returning, the first thing I did was search for it and since then it has never been missing from my wardrobe, although sometimes I go months without using it until I feel like it. It smells of leather, lavender, cedar and a touch of pineapple so fresh. It’s not elegant or unusual, it’s generic, but it fulfils its function by making you feel fresh, clean and energetic. It goes well during the day or at night for casual activities, even for sport or relaxing at home. In Mexico at the end of 2018 it was easy to get for about $15 for 150ml. Lasts 5-6 hours with moderate trail. One of my favourites.

  • I remember the first time I smelled it years ago, on a holiday in Puerto Vallarta. A friend was wearing it and his trail caught my attention so much that, upon returning, my first mission was to buy it. Since then, I’ve always had a bottle in my wardrobe; although I sometimes go months without using it, I always feel the urge to smell that scent again. It smells of leather, lavender, cedar, and a touch of fresh pineapple. I admit it’s not a super elegant or unique aroma; it’s generic, but it fulfils its function: it makes you feel fresh, clean, and energetic. It goes perfectly for day or night at casual events, even for sport or to relax at home after a bath. In Mexico, back in September 2018, you could easily get it for around $15 for 150ml. It lasts about 5 or 6 hours with a moderate trail that can be felt up to a metre away before disappearing. One of my favourites.

  • It’s a citrus fougère where the lavender makes a classic parade alongside the bergamot and the sweetness of the pineapple, giving an incredible freshness, almost like freshly ironed clothes. Nothing generic, an excellent proposal from Perry Ellis that has stood the test since the 90s. Very masculine and with that pleasant freshness, ideal for daily use. For me it’s an 8/10.

  • It’s a citrus fougère where lavender makes a classic appearance accompanied by bergamot and the sweet touch of pineapple. It gives an immediate sensation of freshness, almost like freshly ironed clothes. Far from generic, it’s an excellent proposal from Perry Ellis, very masculine. Although it came out in the mid-90s, I believe it’s still relevant. I truly didn’t know about it; I tried it and liked it; that sensation of freshness is really pleasant. Ideal for daily use. For me, an 8/10.

  • I bought it blindly. Being cheap and without great expectations, it didn’t hurt me much, but to be honest, I don’t like it at all. It doesn’t offend, but it has that supermarket cologne pretension that I detest. I don’t know what they put in it, but it smells like that classmate who thought he was an adult dousing himself in cheap sprays. I’ll mix it with water to use it as an ironing board spray or give it to some unsuspecting soul.

  • Buy blind. As it’s cheap and I had no great expectations, it hasn’t done me much harm, but I don’t like it at all. I won’t say it’s offensive, but it has that supermarket cologne pretension that I detest. I don’t know what they put in it, but they all have that smell of that classmate who thought he was an adult spraying cheap sprays. I’ll mix it with water to use it as an ironing water or give it to some unsuspecting person.

It projects strongly, wear it before heading out and keep it away from those you live with daily. If you apply it again, do so in the bathroom and let it evolve, because at first it smells of unpleasant leather. Then it moves on to the bergamot and pineapple, much more pleasant, although the leather and amber remain but no longer bother. Watch out: do not buy it blindly.

  • I wore it on my wrist but never mustered the courage to buy it until my guard finally dropped and I made the best decision. It starts strong and spicy, with a fruity touch of bergamot and pineapple that invites you to keep smelling it. Then the oregano makes itself felt, a detail I love so much in the kitchen as well as here, mixed with dry, fresh vetiver, nothing damp. The flowers, especially the soapy lavender, dominate the heart, although you can’t quite feel the leather or amber. Its longevity is surprising for the price: eight hours with a good initial projection. It’s versatile, casual and perfect for everyday wear, though I see it as very masculine. A bargain gem for lovers of non-classic ferns.
