  • Amouage invites us on another risky bet: ivy in a beach shack. Have they seen everything in the Oman house? There was still a green, fresh oriental that oozed vigour and class without being balsamic. A tightrope walk between fougère and delicate oriental. They use ivy with talent, avoiding anything harsh or annoying, tempering it with a minty breath that adds elegance. In the base, myrrh reminds us it is Amouage, no smoke and mirrors, playing on the tightrope without a safety net.

  • An interesting proposal with mint and green ivy, mixed with something sweet that smells like tonka bean (undeclared), wood, and soft vetiver. I also detect patchouli and floral, but what stands out is the mint and ivy. A achieved soft, earthy base. It’s not a copy of Colonia Club; if it is, it surpasses the original by a mile, which smells like cheap Proraso aftershave with lots of menthol and little quality. This Amouage smells like fresh leaves direct from the plant, with more nuance and clarity. Good performance for being the freshest from the brand. Ridiculously high price, unjustified, but there are houses that produce expensive perfumes of poorer quality. A good quality fragrance, different style from the typical oriental, fresh and easy to wear.

  • Tragic to see Amouage launch ‘maybe’ perfumes for the beach & hi-end segment without researching current creations. Beach Hut is a lamentable copy of Colonia Club from 2015, which costs less than half the price. I think it’s a mistake by the Omani house, paving the way for commercial failure with this proposal.

  • Beyond what you might perceive, suggesting something so close to Club is a blunder. I disagree regarding longevity, which is relative. But some will pay extra for two centimetres more of projection. In short, its price-to-performance ratio seems a fiasco, not just aromatically but commercially.

  • I really like it. It’s a fresh proposal from Amouage, invigorating thanks to the mint, with well-balanced herbals and florals. Perfect for hot days; in the cold, I prefer others from the house. In the heat, where I can’t stand their oriental spices, this is delicious. Projection 8, longevity 7, aroma 9. Rating 8/10.

A beautiful fragrance for autumn and spring. The star notes are ivy, vetiver, and mint. It evokes an abandoned, damp, mouldy mausoleum with vegetation and creepers. It’s earthy, damp, and camphoraceous, quite unusual. Ideal for those over 25; the inexperienced will simply see herbal and earthy tones.

Perfect fragrance for the shoulder seasons, autumn and spring. It features three standout notes: ivy, vetiver and mint. A truly unique scent with no equal; it transports me to an abandoned cemetery, rotting with winter dampness, headstones overgrown in mouldy vegetation and creeping vines. Earthy, damp with a touch of camphor, something quite unusual. Ideal for those over 25; newcomers might just find it herbal and earthy.

  • It struck me as a robust, characterful scent. Perhaps the mint adds freshness, but the blend is dense; it reminds me of mint jam. It has plenty of body and depth, nothing discreet. Excellent longevity and projection. I’ll be wearing it regularly. 8.5/10 for aroma, 10/10 for sillage. Highly recommended.

To clarify first: this is not a copy of Colonia Club. While there are similarities, the ingredient quality is on another level. Parma smells good, but against Amouage, the knockout is inevitable.

  • Mmm, this isn’t worth 300 euros. It’s a slightly more refined version of Colonia Club and nothing more, but if you want to swallow the con, the money is yours.

  • Delicious Amouage fragrance, like all from the house. Very herbal and pleasant, smells like a spa.

Does anyone notice a similarity with Sauvage Elixir as it dries? I detect a licorice aroma.

  • What a surprising perfume. The first scent is what’s left on your fingers after playing with a plant leaf, something between cut grass and a torn leaf. It’s left me so bewildered I haven’t noticed the rest, though I have detected other notes, but the protagonist is that leaf scent, could it be chlorophyll? I’ve really liked it, smells very niche and Mediterranean, ideal for coves on the Costa Brava or Balearics, not for the beach but for walks and siestas. I live around there and it smells like ‘my homeland’. It’s summer captured in a peculiar way, far from coconut or tropical, though I don’t feel it’s fresh, it’s something else.

  • Great scent, fresh and pleasant. Mint, moss and orange blossom dominate. I have a 12/22 bottle. It’s not a Beast Mode; it lasts over 8 hours but with moderate projection. I see it as a summer scent. I expected more from Amouage for the price, perhaps it was reformulated, but honestly I expected better performance. Edit: It’s won me over, especially that sweet mint. Performance is very good, lasting 8-10 hours. It delivered and I recommend it.

  • A very rich, wearable and pleasant aroma. I detect mainly mint, moss and orange. I have a batch from 12/2022. It is certainly not a Beast Mode. Yes, it lasts more than eight hours but with moderate projection. I see it as a summer scent. I expected more from Amouage given the price. I’m not sure if it has been reformulated, but to be honest, I expected much better performance. Edit: This perfume has won me over and its sweet minty scent is delightful. Its performance is very good and, although it doesn’t project in beast mode, it lasts around eight to ten hours. It has met my expectations and I would certainly recommend it.

Wonderful fragrance with fresh mint. Very addictive and enveloping; you want to smell it all the time. Pure freshness. Very long-lasting, about 10-12 hours. It doesn’t project everywhere, but it’s noticeable. Perfect for hot or mild days. Fantastic for everyday wear. Highly recommended and, in my opinion, masculine.

  • It has a note that reminds me of JPG’s Ultra Male and I get dizzy with it. It becomes cloying as it dries and I can’t tell which note is to blame. Although it’s my favourite house, I just can’t handle that sweet scent.

  • I love it. At first, a strong, crushed mint with orange blossom. The mint dominates the entire development, then comes the moss, with woods and resin in the base. It’s earthy. I like it because it doesn’t have an endless array of notes and pivots between fresh and deep. You can feel the quality; it’s Amouage. It has pros and cons: distinctive aroma, top quality and brutal performance, 8-9 hours comfortably. Goes from spring to autumn, anywhere, semi-formal. It’s addictive. But of course, the price. There’s something I must dislike less, still, a very good option for warm days.

  • A scent totally unlike any other. Smells like a mountain with mint from start to finish and a touch of thyme. It evokes walks through lowland scrub from my youth. As it dries, the vetiver and patchouli gain strength. Lasts 12-14 hours, even close to the skin. At first it doesn’t project much, but then it becomes a beast. It doesn’t seek compliments, but connection with nature. I think it’s unisex-masculine, ideal for all year round except intense heat above 30 degrees, as it’s dense. A distinctive and unique aroma. If you’re looking for something beachy, it’s not here. At its price, test before buying. I started with 7/10, but over time it’s winning me over. Now I give it 8/10 and rising. Its trail is freshness and elegance, a spectacular amber-green.

  • For those who aren’t green-thumbs, there’s no beach here, just a whole meadow: field, grass, forest, mint and moss. It’s like an Irish postcard, the sum of all greens together, and strangely, I don’t dislike it. The magic of Amouage (or my partiality to this house I adore). Balanced, with the quality and good taste they’ve come to expect. Worth a try.

  • To begin with, I’m not usually a fan of green scents, but here we have the entire meadow: no beach, but rather countryside, grass, forest, mint and moss. It transports me straight to Ireland, as if it were one of those classic postcards. It’s not just any green; it’s the sum of all greens combined. The strangest thing is that, for some reason I can’t explain, I don’t dislike it; it’s the magic of Amouage (or perhaps my lack of impartiality with this house I adore). It is very well balanced, with the quality and good taste we have come to expect from them. It is well worth trying.
