Descripción
Carlo Pour Homme by Carlo Corinto is a woody-spicy fragrance for men. This creation, launched in 2024, is presented as a new addition to the collection. The nose behind this composition is Honorine Blanc. The top notes unfold with cardamom, black pepper, and bergamot; the heart reveals patchouli, geranium, and rhubarb; while the base notes complete the structure with vanilla, woods, hazelnut, and musk.

I love it; it’s an incredible balance that updates the classic by Carlo Corinto. Seductive and potent, it mixes things that seem opposite but fit perfectly. The cardamomo takes the lead, and I was surprised by how it works with the bergamot before yielding to the floral heart, where the geranium shines (I’m not sure about the rhubarb, but it smells good). The cardamomo lasts a long time, alongside the hazelnut wood and the vanilla that adds sweetness without being cloying like a chocolate cake. It’s a balanced gourmand, fresh and spicy. By the way, although they don’t say it, it smells of cloves and at times reminds me of a very spiced chai tea.
I love it; it’s an incredible update that refreshes the classic by Carlo Corinto. It smells seductive, lasts a long time, and is super easy to wear; it manages to unite things that seem opposite but fit perfectly. The cardamomo is the king here, and I was surprised by how it goes hand in hand with the bergamot. The latter yields quickly to the floral heart, where the geranium takes the lead (I’m not quite sure what the rhubarb smells like), but the cardamomo stays firm throughout the perfume’s life. The hazelnut wood and that vanilla also appear early, providing support to the cardamomo to add sweetness. In short, it smells like a gourmand but isn’t cloying like a chocolate cake; it’s a balanced gourmand, fresh and with a spicy touch. Extra: although they don’t say it, I think a clove accord comes through. At some point, it smells like a very spiced chai latte.
Ten minutes on the skin and it already smells like that typical Zara note I know; compared to Antique Brown, I realise it’s not bad at all, as they both share that very ‘Zara’ profile.
