  Without a doubt my favourite fragrance; it is number one on my ranking list. The trail and longevity are spectacular, and besides, everyone in my circle loves it; there is no one who doesn’t compliment me when they smell it.

  Imagination is the most evolved form of thought we possess: it allows us to extend our consciousness beyond the confines of the rational, diving deep into the recesses of the mind, understanding things that would otherwise be impossible, seeing ourselves in a new light, and reawakening forgotten faculties. Fornasetti’s creation reveals itself as a woody, musky fragrance with a very elegant character, an almost perfect fusion of the contemporary and the antique, a long journey towards high society. I feel sorry to say, but the experience is getting more complex with every sniff. I can’t help it. It truly is magnificent; I am absorbed, eyes closed, savouring the emotion this perfume brings: warm, herbaceous vanilla with finely balanced supporting notes. I wouldn’t have believed it possible from a brand practically unknown in the perfumery world. I don’t perceive the oud, but the whole is of very high quality and sophisticated. For hours, the vanilla emerges from its woody embrace, captivating all the senses. The cedar and wood tones soften the overall sweetness; so don’t worry, it never becomes cloying before the amber base reveals itself alongside musky nuances. The sandalwood provides a comforting warmth, soft as velvet, while the musk seduces and seduces. It is subtle and infinitely deep; silently, gently, and seductively, it settles on the skin and merges with it. It blends with it like a shadow. It can be an innocent caress or the sin itself. What Paolo Terenzi achieves with Immaginazione is difficult to put into words. He has captured an instinct, almost perfectly, in a fragrance. Passionate and seductive suggestion, intimacy, and a pulsating, infinite warmth emanate from this scent, with a soft, herbaceous lavender that adds an almost ethereal lightness and freshness. Everything finally rests on a dark, earthy, and slightly sweet bed of patchouli and moss. Nothing to say: with this fragrance, you find what you seek… in one way or another. I certainly recommend a trial. Unfortunately, the exorbitant price will mean this true fragrance chameleon, where at one moment you detect an oriental aroma dominated by musk and vanilla, while the next it reveals itself almost as a classic fougère with herbaceous lavender notes in the top and heart, and a somewhat animalic, powdery base, fails to achieve the success it deserves.
