  • A fragrance inspired by Gucci Envy, one of Tom Ford’s masterpieces from his tenure at Gucci in the late 90s and early 2000s. It bears a strong resemblance to the original and evokes it well, though in my opinion this is more discreet and less strident. To me, this Envy feels green, woody, and ambered, whereas my own Envy is greener, smokier, and incense-like. The scent is very pleasant but doesn’t last long on my skin, even after a year of maceration. Without a doubt, it’s a great option for the original Envy, which has been discontinued and is now selling at astronomical prices. I’m surprised there hasn’t been a single review in Spanish. Highly recommended; perhaps others will find it lasts longer on their skin.

Good morning or night, depending on where you are. The notes are listed above: it’s an ‘inspiration’ and, given the price, it was worth trying a 10ml decant that I came across. It’s not bad, but naturally it’s far from copying the original; I’d say it’s very weak and discreet, suitable for personal enjoyment. That said, it smells nice and is decently constructed. Performance on skin is medium or below; by the time it’s been an hour, you’ll notice you need to sniff right at the application point. On clothes, it’s almost the same, of course; pH must influence it greatly as everyone is different. Blind buy? No, definitely: try it first, if you like the scent buy the decant, and even better if it’s on offer. There are better proposals from Alexandria, especially those inspired by the Creed saga; I’ll comment on them gradually where appropriate. Best regards.
