  • This perfume is rare and I knew that when I bought it, but I didn’t think it would be so polarising. Unfortunately it’s not for everyone. I like it and I don’t think there’s a dupe because it’s mixed exquisitely. I only recommend it to Xerjoff lovers. I smell banana from the start, but it’s not real chemical, it smells like banana and little bubblegum, though yes banana bubblegum, they taste like Bubbaloo.

  • Jungle Jezebel is incredible. Miguel Matos becomes one of my favourite noses. The opening is a fruity bomb of banana, a rarely used note, with that synthetic-sweet bubblegum touch… Boom all over the face! It quickly changes to animalic but very pleasant. The algalia takes the lead with white and yellow flowers over a sweet base. The last phases are like zoologist civet. It’s incredible how different it smells on paper vs skin: on paper the bubblegum lasts and the civeta accompanies; on skin, the civeta dominates the whole time, it seems like another perfume. It’s intense, deep and dense, better for night and cold weather. Totally unisex. Straight to my wishlist! Scent 10, Longevity 9, Sillage 8, Value/Price 8, Versatility 6, Originality 10, Overall 9.5.

  • Jungle Jezebel is a curious experience I liked but it didn’t make my wishlist. It smells good, it’s sweet, juicy and complex, but bright and not heavy. Delightfully animalic. Original and pretty. At first it smells mentholated and sweet, it throws you off, it’s bubblegum. But from the start you think: ‘animal banana!’ Wow. As it dries, it smells of banana, ylang-ylang and yellow flowers, with a bit of neroli. The civeta is from start to finish, it’s the thread, but so sweetened it doesn’t bother. At the base, from the sixth or seventh hour, it’s comforting. High trail and lasts over 12 hours. Because it’s so fruity and particular, I keep the sample for a summer night. I wouldn’t buy the full bottle because it doesn’t fit many situations. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 9/10, Value/Price 6/10, Versatility 3/10, Packaging 7/10. Would I buy again? No.

  • A curious perfume inspired by an 80s drag queen (the version in the image looks very cool). Forums say it’s very challenging, but it didn’t seem so to me; I think it’s the handling of the civeta that polarises opinions. What does it smell like, mate? Remember Motita banana bubblegum? Well, it smells like that, with vanilla and the animal note of civeta. Good longevity, moderate projection. I see it for mild nights or autumn/winter, though I don’t rule out other uses. It tends to be feminine, but nothing I can’t wear.

  • I find this a very curious fragrance. Inspired by an eighties drag queen, it has a reputation for being quite challenging, but I don’t think so. Rather, I believe it’s the civet note that puts most people off, or at least it didn’t seem challenging to me. What does it smell like, mate? Think of Motita’s banana bubblegum, but with a hint of vanilla and the animalic touch of civet. Longevity is excellent, projection is moderate. I see it as suitable for mild evenings or autumn/winter, though I wouldn’t rule out other uses. To me, it feels more feminine, but nothing I couldn’t wear.

  • HUGE SURPRISE! At first the opening shocked me, but then I understood this masterpiece. It’s a brutal animalic opening that mutates in half an hour into a gourmand of banana, grape, and bubblegum with civeta. It’s the dream perfume, addictive and full of personality. It’s my favourite in the collection. For gourmand lovers, mixing it with animalic notes is a 10. It’s not for everyone; you have to let it evolve. MASTERPIECE by Miguel Matos. Thanks Sarah.

  • I must say it was a great surprise. The opening shocked me at first, but then I began to understand this masterpiece. A brutal animalic opening that mutates in half an hour to reveal the gourmand: banana, grape, and bubblegum alongside the civet. It’s the dream fragrance, addictive and full of personality. It’s my favourite from the collection. I’m a gourmand lover; being able to combine it with animalic notes is a ten out of ten. It’s not for everyone; you have to understand it and let it evolve. I repeat, it’s a masterpiece by Miguel Matos. Thanks, Sarah.

So far the most interesting thing I’ve smelled, besides its history. The opening is tropical with juicy banana, but the civeta comes out later, dirtying it up and making it animalistic. I sense an acidic touch, like hair lacquer. It’s a gourmand animalic, super rare but it doesn’t disgust me. I see it as slightly more feminine due to that loud banana, but it’s a masterpiece.

So far, the most interesting scent I’ve smelled, besides the story behind it. The opening is totally tropical, a juicy banana. The civet takes a while to emerge, but over time it starts to appear, muddying the fragrance and making it more animalic. I also detect a sour touch, like hairspray. The dry-down is an animalic gourmand, super interesting. It’s very strange but I dislike it not at all. I see it leaning towards the feminine side, with that brash banana note I don’t love, yet it’s a total masterpiece.

  • This smells like an OLFATORY EXPERIENCE. The opening is a lovely tropical blast, but after five minutes it smells like rotten breath, like a ‘rotten molar’. Haha, it gave me nausea just remembering that day. It’s worth it only for the experience, just like with those faecal ouds.

  • I thought it would be a typical sweet treat, but once it dries down it’s almost nothing; it’s floral, strong, and has that ‘dirty’ touch of neroli and ylang-ylang that brings back the 80s and a transgressive vibe. It’s challenging, not for young people or the average man, but it has loads of personality. The sweet touch is artificial, like those bubblegum chews.
