I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews for this gem. It’s a fantastic fragrance, delicious if you’re looking for a versatile oud. The opening features citrus and white flowers reminiscent of a classic cologne, accompanied by a potent oud noticeable from the start. At first, the oud with the citrus smells a bit faecal and acidic, but after a while the citrus fades and the oud becomes more woody and mineral. It remains an oud, and in the background you can detect the animalic part, but nothing that raises eyebrows. The composition lasts quite a bit and is a purchase every addict should have; save for the opening, it’s a superbly rich oud for any season, super masculine and charming. The price for 50ml is acceptable, Sarah Baker’s quality is top-notch, and you can tell it was composed by master Carbonell. Scent: 8.5/10, Projection: 7/10, Longevity: 8.5/10, Price: 8/10. In conclusion, it’s a true gem deserving more popularity. The whole house has interesting proposals. [RECOMMENDED]
This Symmetry from The Perfumery Barcelona arrived yesterday and I wore it today. The opening has dark citrus, nothing sparkly; after 10-15 minutes these fade and the oud emerges, likely synthetic given the perfume’s price (€90 for 50ml). Still, the oud appears along with that cypriol leather note that accompanies you quite a bit until it settles and blends with the citrus. In the dry down, it remains very balanced and enjoyable, easy to wear for everyday.
I love it. It’s just 15 minutes of animalic oud before fresh woods take over. I haven’t found anything like it. I don’t see much resemblance to Oudh Al Boruzz Asrar Indonesia, which is more expensive due to its rarity and hype, and I don’t think it’s worth it. In contrast, Summetry is worth every penny.
I tried it and it caught me – a rich oud similar to Burgas but toned down with bergamot and neroli, giving it a distinct twist. Pity it didn’t last at all; I don’t know if it’s been reformulated or if the store batch was too new, but I felt absolutely no projection. That’s why I didn’t buy it: lovely, but I don’t see the point in carrying a decant just to reapply it constantly.
