This is a very particular fragrance, not for everyone. At first, it smells of an incredibly realistic banana, but after 30 minutes the oud takes a turn towards a stable scent that I didn’t enjoy; it gave me the sensation of a banana about to rot or with its skin discarded (I apologise, but that was exactly what I felt). It’s not a bad perfume, it has quality and niche credentials, but it’s not for me or what I expected. You either love it or hate it, depending on your olfactory taste. I see it as good for summer, but not for daytime or in heavy heat as it can be overpowering; in cool evenings, it’s perfect.
Matos hits the mark again with fragrances for those who don’t seek the common, but rather new, bold and challenging scents. In this work of art, three notes stand out: banana, cypriol and oud. Its development is very clear: sweet at the start, then a cypriol/oud combo with sweet lingering traces as it dries down.
